Goldstar Hotel & Resort - Nice

We were thrilled. The Goldstar by far exceeded our expectations and we would not hesitate to recommend them to our friends.

Absolutely brilliant!

We expected a better service at this 4 stars Hotel. People at the breakfast were very nice and efficient. We were not very warmly welcome at the registration desk. No service at the spa, impossible to book the sauna (the hamman was out of order).

Restaurant very bad. Breakfast also.

The hotel is amazing and we got a pretty good deal. Just don't go to the bar for cocktails because they are a rip off and they are basically juice with no alcohol at all! The only thing I did not like was the fact that they insisted on taking down my full credit card number in the guest registration form.

Very nice Hotel

We went for our honeymoon an the staff did their absolute best to make our holiday special.

Suites are much larger and nicer than the web site would indicate. Big bathrooms, lots of closet space, and has small but full kitchen. Close to beach, train station and restaurants, but away from the noise.

Hotel Goldstar was very nice the staff were very friendly and helpful. Only thing was we culd have done with a kettle in the room for hot drinks.

The spa/wellness/fitness area was really disappointing. We chose this resort because of these facilities, but it wasn't worth it at all. The pool is very nice, but 'heated' is exaggerated, and the fitness area was below standard and the Turkish bath was simply a very small steam room. However, the rooms were very nice and were cleaned daily, and we did enjoy staying there. The location is very central. On one or two nights the music from the club went on very loudly past midnight. We could hear it, and we weren't even on the floor below it! It still is a nice hotel though.

The 2 suites I booked ,for my husband and myself,and my daughter and her husband,for 4 nights over the Christmas period were excellent,very spacious.The hotel is well situated and the receptionist was very helpful. My only slight complaint would be that the food for breakfast was a bit 'hit and miss'.

Good location and excellent facilities. Great service upon arrival. Had a very bad experience with room service (was not available when requested during the day) and breakfast. Would eat elsewhere.

Front desk staff were great with recommendations for nearby places for dinner, etc. The rooms were fantastic, we had a suite + breakfast deal for 213 euro which we thought was great value for money. The rooms were MASSIVE, very newly decorated, and even had a small kitchen which we didn't end up using due to a short stay. The bathroom was very modern and clean also. Hotel is in a really central position, only a few blocks from the promenade, and a 10 minute walk to the train station for day excursions. We'd definitely stay here again if we return to Nice.

High Quality hotel with good facilities - Bar very overpriced and Bar staff could have been better for this price bracket - room high quality, but no curtains ! - had to use towels to block out the street lamps! - reception staff not concerned when mentioned, otherwise a pleasant stay.

Fantastic location. Cavernous rooms. Staff a little too clinical - lacking the friendly touch.

I'm stay in this hotel in august, the room are very spacious but for the price that I have pay the service is very bad. The cleaner don't come before 1.30 pm 2.00 pm o'clock. I must call her. The swimming pool was very freezing when I have booked the hotel the swimming pool was describe like warming up, and When I have received the confirmation on my voucher the price of the parking was 15.00 euro per day, at the end of my stay I have pay 20.00 euro per day. This is not a very good behaviour for a 4 stars hotel

Rooms were new and large, huge bathrooms (for Europe). Just a few short blocks to shopping and restaurants.

Some renovations were being undertaken which made it noisier than it should have been. The bed was very comfortable which is always a nice surprise in hotels.

We've been going to Nice since late '80ties every year and tried many hotels downtown and nearby. So we were eager to try this new all suites hotel we did not know in a very convenient location downtown and with a covered parking , which is a real plus in Nice ! We were very pleasantly impressed since arrival by staff's friendliness and helpfulness and even more by the size and arrangement of the suite (ours was a Consul). The suite was even better than on the Internet pictures and really very comfortable. We'll be definitely return !

Superbe Hotel, new construction. Better than expected. Rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated. There is a live band playing at night on the 6th floor. You might ear the music if you are on floor 4 or 5.

A new hotel not properly quality-checked before our stay - this disappointed. However, good value for the price we paid.

Great hotel. I would certainly recommnend it. The food in the restaurant was also excellent. Although, the drinks were rather pricey.
