I've been there with my boyfriend (both 28) and my parents (both 57 years old) on vacation. As described the hotel is a little outside of Kanchanburi, but it's no problem to go to the city with a taxi and as usual in thailand going by taxi is quite cheap. The hotel was really nice. An ideal place for relaxing. We all loved the pool and the pool area. The only thing we didn't like about the pool were the really old and scuffed cushions on the lawn chairs. These should be replaced. But the pool itself was big and clean and really refreshing. The ppol is surrounded by coconut palms, orchids and other tropical plants. The bedrooms and bathrooms were ok, but a little wear and tear. I liked the hard matresse the rest of my family not ;) The balcony and the view from our room were nice. The massages at the spa were really good. The masseuses were professional and friendly. And after the massage we got some more time to relaxe while having tea and crackers. The dinner at the hotel was also quite good if you chose thai food. But be careful with having your dinner spicy, if you order "ped nit noi" - a little spicy - for europeans it's really spicy, as i can eat quite spicy it was also quite hard for me to eat it, next time i would order "mei ped" (not spicy). One of us tried some italian food which looks and tasted disgusting. But the hotel is in Thailand, you should eat thai food ;) And don't forget, it's in the countryside so don't be afraid of some insects or geckos. And due to the fact it's next to river kwai (kwae) you should prepare yourself with insect repellent to avoid insect bits. So, in spite of everything, even if the hotel is a little wear and tear, it's a nice hotel for some nights, to stay at the pool or like we did, visit the Erawan National Park. We would go there again for a long weekend or so while travelling Thailand.

Overall a good place to stay at. Nice location by the river and close to most attractions in the area. The resturant have a limited menu and we did find the breakfast sometimes with ants and other small animals in it. Not nice. The Staff also need to learn english. Very frustrating not to get an understanding from the staff.
