Beachcomber Resort & Villas - Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale

It's an older hotel, but the staff takes good care of it. My room was extremely small, but clean and with a microwave and frig. The pool is a nice size with the beach only a few feet away (just beyond the deck), Drinks were steep ($7 for a well drink), and nothing on their menu was a "deal," but the quality of the food was very good. All in all, I was happy with the service, the facilities, and the location (although you are not within walking distance of any nice restaurants)of being right on the beach. Some of the rooms have great views of the ocean.

very pleasant stay in spite of several negative comments posted on the boards. restaurant staff very friendly and lively. we liked the decor and amenities and would recommend to others.

For one or two nights stay, it is okay. For up to a week or more its boring. Nothing to do. Must have car at this location. Good beach and pool.

Beachcomber immer gerne wieder. Bestes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Einfach toll! War bereits unser zweiter Aufenthalt. European rooms sind ziemlich klein. Würde einen Beachview room wählen. Kostet minimal mehr, dafür direkter Meerblick und sehr schöne Zimmer. Liebe Grüße aus Österreich

I booked two room that were supposed to be next to one another in October. They gave us two rooms on two different floors.

Very nice 3 star hotel, priced very reasonable, free parking, staff very helpful. Hotel is quite, and laid back and a great deal better than staying in Fort Lauderdale or Miami.

I am a returning guest and enjoy the Beachcomber very much.I have recommended it to many friends.We will return.

When we arrived we were greeted by a very nice woman that guessed that since we were only staying one night we were probably going on a cruise. (She was right) We had arrived early (11:30am) and she offered us a choice we could either take an "ok" room or wait a bit for a free upgrade to a balcony room - we waited - not long though, maybe 15 minutes and we were out at the pool within 1/2 hour from the time we got there. The only negative we had was that the room would not cool down even though we had the A/C cranked up to the max. This was ok since it was January but would be a problem in the summer months. We did not tell them of this problem until we checked out so they didn't really have a chance to fix it while we were there. It was perfect for what we needed - 1 night and a great price!

room canceled before going to Florida. Found out the room was not acceptable from hotel. Booked new room for $l09.00 with hotel. Hotel gave us credit for advance depotit, 88.00 and 88.00 Not satisfied with Venere and your booking.Stay was excellent after rebooking with hotel. Room booked with Vener not acceptable

Had a wonderful stay Nov 2008. Very comfortable beds, restaurant food had good portions. Pool & beach were great. Bonus was the plaza across the street that you could walk back and forth to. Only surprise was that this is a non smoking hotel, even on the balconies. Designated smoking areas available. Overall we (4) were very pleased.

nunca habia estado en un hotel donde el personal de el desayuno fuera tan racista e irrespetuoso. Hablo ingles pero olvidé como se decía una palabra y me despreciaron como si yo no fuera el cliente. jamas me había pasado en otros lugares de E.U. Cuando llegué,la habitación no tenía nada que ver con la mostrada en internet y tube que pagar un suplemento de 40 dolares más impuestos para tener una habitación decente. Un desastre, no estoy acostumbrada a este trato y menos cuando yo no pongo ninguna traba a la hora de pagar. LAMENTABLE
