Resort Bahía Salinas Beach & Spa - Cabo Rojo

All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the wait staff haven't received training in even the basics of service. Over eight days, we had to ask for silverware, napkins, water, refills, to see the wine list, to clear the table and for the check, every meal. The meal plan dinner menu is very limited and just isn't worth it. There are plenty of offerings on the regular menu that are comparably priced and all the food was very good. The mosquitoes are a constant nuisance and aggravation at every meal and appear immune to any repellent. The pool and surrounding lounge area is wonderful. The Beach is not very inviting with a mucky bottom and turbid water. Nearby, Boqueron beach is nice and lots of fun dining including Galloway's overlooking the water. The room blanket had holes and stains. One small sink and mirror is not adequate for more than a one night stay. We had to go to the office, everyday, to request face and hand towels. Based on our observations and experiences the management may be offsite and hands-off. This could be a very nice resort with professional management.
