Room 318 not to be recommended .... toilet seat broken, room untidy (towels in bathroom etc) .. minibar with nothing in it and the "refreshment fridge" (corridor) not working

I like the hotel and especially the restaurant, for its food quality and the friendly and professional service. BUT, it should be absolutely avoided in wintertime, when the heating is on. The rooms are kept at a scorching 27°C, and there is NO WAY to regulate it. In the bathroom you feel like fainting, since temp is even higher! This is intolerable, and a very stupid waste, especially in the balmy climate of Naples. To boot, the room thermostats work in reverse, and concierge initially treats you like a stupid monkey for failing to understand their use - but this is NOT the reason of the intolerable heat. I had to spend the night with the window open, despite having changed 3 rooms. Stay away in the bad season!!! NOT up to the Ramada standards. Otherwise, in the good season the hotel is just fine and I like it: air conditioning CAN be regulated.

My room should be adjusted in few things inside (lights, paper wall, air conditioning system), it seems that organization is not taking care of these particulars

A very good hotel located in a very poor neighborhood. Although the distance between the hotel and Naples Central is only a five minutes walk, you would have to fight the traffic to make your way to the hotel. Overall experience was good. Free internet (WiFi)in the lobby area but you would have to pay for internet in the room. The breakfast was good and only other meal we ate was lunch which was good too.

This is a 20th century building so the room and bathroom were large and typical for a Ramada Hotel in a major U.S city. The room was very comfortable and well appointed as was the hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful! The breakfast was equally nice with a wide assortment of foods. It was well located, only a few blocks from the train station, which is why we chose this hotel. But the area was very busy, high traffic with construction nearby. Our room was on the back side, not street side, so it was quiet. I would stay here again.

Posh hotel, pity about Naples and the vicinity of the hotel. The hotel staff were sometimes good but have failed to reply by email when I lost my shaver. Rooms are noisy as the road between the hotel and station is the motorway feed. Food and hospitality not so good, but very good breakfast. You need to ask for an expresso from a grumpy waiter, as the coffee offered as help yourself is awful. If Italy would spend a bit of time considering the pedestrian, then the experience of travellers would be so much better! The streets around Naples are truly awful for anyone walking and totally impossible for a wheelchair user. The bits of pavement are broken up by holes, manholes and excavations. Where there is a pavement, it stops at an impossible road crossing of four unpredictable lanes of traffic who ignore all ped crossings. The various tourist bus/ archeo tickets are very confusing. Get your info before you go, as tourist information staff are only just helpful and hate repeating themselves as their english is SO perfect!( Yes I know, we should speak Italian, but we brits are very poor at all that....French, maybe.)

I will definetely stay again at this Ramada next time i visit Naples! If you are a tourist, like me, and want to visit the surrounding touristy towns by train (like Sorrento, Pompei and Herculanum), the Ramada cant be beat for it's location!! It is in a seedy part of town right next to the main trainstation (Napoli Garibaldi), but this is the main advantage of the hotel. The side door to the Circumvesuviana (trains to Sorrento and Pompei) is located right across the street from the entrance to the Ramada. We were travelling these trains every dayfor 5 days and the hotel's location was incredibly convienient! Yes, the streets around the hotel are busy and dirty, but you gotta take that into account when you travel to Naples! I felt safe, and after looking around the city, i would choose this Ramada again next time i visit. To the hotel: It was spotlessly clean and the bathroom was better then most Italian hotel bathrooms i've been in. The bed was also bigger then expected. The room was silent at night which surprized me as well because of the location. (There was however, small tremors whenever the train below the streets left the station!) The cleaning staff is wonderful and i felt at home in the room. The breakfast buffet was better then most Italian breakfasts, but there is no whole grain bread, just hard white rolls and crusty white bread. There is fresh fruit, musli and a selection of cold cuts to choose from. There is machine coffee served, but do yourself a favor and ask the waiter for a fresh cappuccino! They are happy to oblige. The rest of the staff at the Ramada were curtious and friendly. There is not much of a lobby at the hotel, but we were never there anyway! If you are planning on staying in Naples a few days and doing some sightseeing on the local train system, I highly recommend this hotel. Keep in mind, Naples has no "central" town square where tourists generally congregate in luxury hotels.

The stay was very enjoyable. Though the surroundings around the hotel are not particularly salubrious, they do provide for some interesting sights. We were quite comfortable walking around the station area with our older children and some of the small restaurants tuked away in corners of Garibaldi Square offered not only very good value for money but also good quality food. The main advantage of staying here was the ease with whihc one could travel out to places like Sorrento, Pompeii etc. The hotel itself was wonderful and the service excellent - nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Our children enjoyed the breakfasts!

The hotel was a great find, great quality for its price. The service was great, only major downside was the location: a very noisy street, tens of meters from the entry to the highway, 5-6 meters from the Circumvesuviana trainstation. The neighborhood was unsettling as well, especially when walking in the Garibaldi Place. Although nothing bad happened to us, we had to keep an open eye to all the creepy people there. Especially since the hotel wasn't *that* close to the trainstation as advertised and we had to walk around 500-600 meters in the neighborhood. Not a problem for me, but others might have problems with it.

Stayed one night in this hotel simply because it was next to the train station. Only a short stay hotel, definately not for longer stay tourists due to location but it was functional. The guy who served breakfast hates his job! No prep for breakfast - juicing machine not working and service ignored the problem shrugging his shoulders but finally sorted, toaster didn't work (later found out not plugged in - again prepping) Fruit looked battered and from day before, problem getting breakfast tea but resolved. Overall breakfast experience very disappointing - would have forgiven the guy for not prepping if he had been in any way interested in looking after his guests - were you just having a bad day?? All that said, Receptionist very welcoming and hotel clean and comfortable. Stepped across the road onto the train to Sorrento and had fabulous holiday - thank you Italy.

I already knew Ramada's quality for my other previous experiences in your hotels in India. My opinion about your hotel in Naples is excellent as the other ones. Something not excellent are only the surroundings, but, at the same time, for me it was very good to stay so near the railway station. I think to choose your hotels again: may you let me know where other Ramada hotels are? Thank you very much.

I chose this hotel because of the Ramada quality I have experienced previously in many different countries, because I knew it wasn't in a great area and wanted my stay to be a more comfortable one but the room was dusty, the mini bar wasn't stock correctly, the information on the services was non exsistent, the bathroom toiletries were poor (just body/hair shampoo) it just lacked the comforts and detail to quality that the other hotels offered - in reflection to the price of one nights stay! Disapointing to say the least. The catering staff were excellent and very friendly.

It is a business-like hotel. We found it quiet, large breakfast buffet with fresh fruits etc. (although coffee awful as in many hotels!). Surroundings very dirty and to join the station, need to cross area that could reveal unsafe. We never got troubles in 4 days although we went out by foot at night (2 women alone). A police car was usually parked in front of the hotel, maybe was it dissuasive enough ? I would not recommend for disabled persons or family with small children ; a good choice for experienced travellers, young persons, etc. you may also chose to travel by taxi to and from your interest points. We chose this option a couple of times (about 8-10 € per fare) In general, I didn't find Naples as unsafe and dangerous as I expected; some streets need to be avoided, especially at night, but that's common sense and is the same everywhere else.

The hotel was of a high standard but the same cannot be said of the surrounding area. On the plus side it was very near the station but you had to also contend with the noise especially in the early hours of the morning.

I spent a couple of days at Ramada Naples. Good choice! Located in the historical area, the hotel is only 200mts from the central railway station. The best solution to visit the city and the outskirts without renting a car. The hotel is clean and the staff very friendly. From my room I had easy access to internet at a reasonable price. A special remark for the breakfast service. An excellent breakfast buffet; high quality, variety, quantity. I love Naples. I enjoyed my stay at Ramada.

This hotel had the best price/quality relationship of any of the hotels I stayed at during my two-week vacation in Italy. The rooms (and bathrooms) were spacious and modern. The location is very convenient for public transportation, as it is very close to the railway, metro, and circumvesuviana stations. The area in which the hotel is located is still fairly run-down, and while this didn't matter to me, it may be important to those who, for example, want to take a seaside stroll in the evening. The hotel caters to tour groups. I ate dinner in the hotel and was very satisfied with the quality of the food. I was able to get the attention of the wait staff in the restaurant in spite of the presence of tour groups. I would stay here again at the same price.

I stayed for 2 nights and highly recommend New Europe. I had a wonderful quiet room in the back of the hotel (the front rooms can be noisy). The room was spotless and comfortable and the bathroom was HUGE and modern (large towel warmer!). The only negative comment is the surrounding location. Although it is conveniently located just minutes from the train station it is in a very filthy and run-down area. If you are coming to Naples to just take the train to Pompeii or elsewhere out of the city it is a perfect hotel choice.

One of the reasons for choosing this hotel was the advertised air conditioning. They do have it but it was not turned on during our stay. The rooms were very hot. Opening the windows is not an option at night because of the street noise. The hotel was very clean and the rooms large. Breakfast was outstanding. The location is close to the train station. However, the neighborhood is very noisy, dirty, and dangerous. We would not stay there again principally because of the location.

We wanted a triple room in a hotel located near the station in Naples. This hotel was excellent! They had a special deal when I booked and we got a suite the size of a house. Massive bedroom and lovely big bathroom (all spotless) and the best breakfast I've ever had in Italy. The hotel is superb if you want to be close to the station for day trips to Pompei etc as the Circumvesuviana station is literally across the road. The area around the hotel however is not very safe, full of rubbish, pickpockets and sleazy men. By the way, any women wishing to stay at the hotel on their own should be very wary of the waiting staff. Two of them appeared at our bedroom door with our requested room service order, plus a bottle of wine we hadn't ordered and 2 extra glasses for themselves!!! We were almost fooled into thinking they were just being friendly...but they definitely had other ideas!!!

Naples is dirty, hotel is nice. I stayed one night to go to Pompeii. The hotel is wonderfully positioned for this with the train station about a block and a half away and the local train to the ruins of Pompeii across the street. This is important because in walking the short distance from the train station I passed many syringes lying along the street to really creep me out. We returned to have a nice dinner of very very small portions in the hotel and did not dare to go out until morning.

It is new and clean. But the location is not for holiday makers. It could be good for business trip because it is located near by Naples station.
