Hotel Ramada Encore Genève - Geneva

Far from the city center but they provided free public transit cards

Inside a great shopping mall but far from center. free transport. Nice glass bathroom. High extra price for internet 17 CHF a day ? No fridge in your room but for extra 20 CHF ! rich breakfast but not included 23 CHF ! not to mention extra tax 6 CHF :( Extra Ramada - not Encore unless all included.

Ramada-Encore is mainly a business traveler's hotel. It is sited adjacent to a major shopping center, sports complex, and convention area. The rooms and the service are extremely modern and slick. Everything in Geneva seems to close up early in the evening, so planning a late night dinner is out. This hotel is very close to public transportation, which meand navigating and visiting the city is very easy.

If you are traveling to Geneva as a tourist, do not stay at this hotel. It is far from a train station and main attractions. Probably, it is good for business trips. In order to get to the center of the city you will have take a bus (D). It does not run often. Sometimes you will end up waiting for the bus for almost 30 or 40 minutes. I went there during winter time so it was a pain in butt. The receptionists were not friendly or helpful; moreover they were arrogant.The room itself was very clean and modern but very cold. THe breakfast is not included and you have to pay about 20 dollars for it. I am not surprised because everything is expensive in geneva. If u are coming to geneva by train or leaving geneva by train, book a hotel near train station. There are hundreds of them there. U will be in the middle of city. i did not like this hotel at all.

Encore is a good hotel. Really. You couldn't find rooms and service like Encore provides for that money ! But listen ! YOU SHOULD NOTICE THAT THIS HOTEL IS LOCATED INSIDE BIG TRADE/OFFICE CENTER !!! There's no surroundings AT ALL - you could enter this hotel ONLY from the shoppiong mall (or parking of the shopping mall).

Easily found, and the whole package was excellent.

The reception staff coped brilliantly when they had no record of my booking from Venere. Allowing me to log on so I could show them my confirmation and honouring the terms of the booking. The hotel was in an ideal location for me for my business as it would be if you were visiting the sports stadium next door. I would have selected another location if on holiday, as this one is in the midst of road, rail and industrial estate. You can easily take a bus to the centre so you just need to weigh up the other great things about this hotel versus its location.

Didn't realise that the price quoted doesn't include breakfast which is £7.50 (GBP). I would stay here again but without a car you have to use buses which run regularly to city centre. There is a bus stop outside the hotel. You could walk to the centre but you would be on main roads.

The employees to the reception don't speak Italian. The first night we have remained for 1/2 h out of the garage of the hotel in how much the doorman of the reception hotel didn't know how to open the door .All in the hotel works through personal magentic card, (also the elevator) but it would need to write it and to explain it. The windows don't open... But in complex it is a good structure, cleaning up and functional.Good!

Overall i liked everything at the hotel regardless the above questionnair. The only thing i didn't like the employees'competencey. They left a bad feeling since i checked in.

The property is difficult to be found by a traveller who is not familiar with the area. Only after several rounds around the Hotel one can realize that the access by car to the premises is possible only from the inside the public garage which serves as well the Commercial Centre and the Stadium. This ought to be improved.Indications once you are inside the garage are sufficient. For the rest the Hotel is convenient for travellers who stop for one night or who attend a Convention.
