Location: at very edge of Croisette area of Cannes, near to Voie Rapide dual carraigeway. Poorly sign-posted, difficult to find in one-way side streets. Close to main shopping street Rue d'Antibes. At least 10-15 mins walk to Blvd de Croisette - the beach front promenade. Hotel poorly maintained. Rooms not small but dirty, old fashioned wall paper & poor lighting. No balcony. Bathroom modern with proper facilities but no shower curtain !! Staff polite and try to be helpful. Parking small, very few places and very difficult to manoeuvre car. Hotel parking not always available. Poor choice - better to stay closer to beach front.

This was a well-situated hotel away from the busy main Boulevard de la Croisette. The locality had some restaurants and shops but there was nothing between the immediate vicinity and the sea front. The hotel is very suitable for mature couples or couples without children. We had breakfast in our room each morning and there was no extra charge. But the breakfast varied slightly each morning (initially we had yoghurts but these disappeared for the last two mornings) and over the weekend the breakfasts arrived slightly late. The room was very comfortable and quiet but far too hot. We asked for the heating to be turned off but it wasn't. The garage was the typical nightmare (steep descent followed by 90° right turn down narrow corridor followed by hairpin bend to left to get into parking area) and it cost 15 Euros per night. The staff were generally helpful and friendly but one morning we had to deal with a 10 year old to get the car out of the garage and it was soon clear she did not understand the urgency of the request (spoken in French). Generally a well-maintained and pleasant hotel and good value for the price. We are not sure we would stay there again, however, provided we could find it again.

I would like to know how 4 **** are obtened? Decoration is very poor, curtains are dirty, no refrigerator, no drink in the bedroom, and no bathcoat, small towels...

The hotel is now a 4 stars (not anymore a 3 one has described in the web site), but in Switzerland it would be a 2 stars max. Rooms are just normal, bathroom a little bit old. Breakfast is excellent. Location excellent. Employees are very nice.

We visited Cannes a weekend in August to enjoy some sunshine, beach and shopping. We certanly found what we where looking for, especially with the friendly and service minded staff at the hotel, the big spacious and clean rooms in good condition, the wonderful breakfast buffet and the great little swimmingpool on the roof. We have recommended this hotel to all our friends and will most certainly stay here again soon - this was one of the best hotel experiences we had so far for the facil price of euro95/night - great value.

When we arrived at the Embassy hotel we were quickly given a room and key. We only returned later that evening to the room only to find out that the room did not have AC. I called the desk and was told that the AC in the building was not working but that it would be fixed later that week. I asked for a ventilator/fan but was told that none were available. I asked why I had not been told at Check-in time that the AC was not working and he couldn't provide me with an answer. It was only after I asked to have my room changed or I would leave that he offered me another room on the same floor. This room had AC working and was very nice. We did hear other occupants complain about the lack of AC as well.

When I arrived I found out that the parking area was very small and that I had to reserve the parking space in advance. I did send an e-mail in advance to ask, but they never replied. This is a big drawback. And from the photos it seems a big hotel... well, it isn't.

Some minor shortcomings; Room A/C was weak, parking very limited; however the staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast more than adequate, with a very nice breakfast courtyard and the location was good, close to the beach but far enough from the noisy crowds. We would consider staying here again and recommend this hotel as a reasonable value.

The overall stay was very enjoyable. The parking was not very convenient because the spaces are small and few but I understand why. I made all my own hotel reservations and it was never clear to me what type of bed I getting; web site room pictures were never labled with room type. I never found a good explaination from any hotel for the room types, e.g., single - does this mean single person occupancy or 1 bed (if it's 1 bed then what size of bed?); a double - does this mean double occupancy, 2 beds, or 1 double size bed. Now that I've stayed in Europe I have a better understanding for the room types. Maybe for the inexperienced traveller you could include descriptions of the room types on your web site. I'm not sure of this but I think your company charged my credit card 5.60 euro for making the reservation; I wasn't aware of this fee when I made my reservation.

The staff at the hotel were lovely, helpful and friendly. Location was fantastic, breakfast was lovely. I couldn't fault anything about the hotel, would definately go back!!

Great location, lovely hotel, friendly staff. The pool on the roof is a jacuzzi and its quite small but the view from the roof was worth it. And the little steps to get to it were abit scary!!
