I chose the hotel location because I wanted to be close to the train station (Wien-Mitte)that would take me directly to the airport early in the morning. I left too early for breakfast but the breakfast room was attractive. The receptionist was very helpful. The room was a typical single room and clean.

The staff did not seem friendly at all. Never offered help in finding resturant in area .The Ascot around the corner was very good. We stayed 5 nights and the breakfast never varied. One morning I went out and bought pastry in a neighborhood store for variety. We asked for ice and were told there was none. There was a kitchen and I feel to accomodate, they could have made the effort to make some ice over the course of 5 nights. It was very warm, so windows had to be opened. The street noise was very loud. The beds were very uncomfortable. They looked put together from pieces of beds. Terrible for sleeping. This pension needs to be updated and refurbished. We were close to Wiem Mitte and subway. That was great for transportation.

The young gentleman who works during night shift is nice and so helpful. The other staff are just so-so and seemed busy with other things when I asked for a small help. The room is very small and has no fan. Luckily, there are two windows. The location is excellent, only 30 meters away from Wien Mitte station where you can get direct access to the airport express train.

the single room I stayed in for 4 nights in may 2009 is fine. Nearby (100 meter) Wien Mitte station for airporttrain and underground, just a few minutes walk from the old centre.

I think 7.30 as a breakfast beginning is too late.

As anticipated from other comments was asked to pay in cash - which was fine as I was given a receipt. Room was small and cramped but was fine for just sleeping. However, whilst the bedding was clean it was old with numerous stains! Hot water failed for two days but they got it repaired.

Very comfortable, spacious room. Fifteen minute walk to city centre, and easy access to subway. One staff member a little cold and unhelpful, but others fine. Overall, we were very happy and would stay there again.

Good hotel, nice stay. On a side note: be careful to check that the key of the outside door works: mine was bent, I've exchanged it at the reception, and I've seen a few days later that it had been given to other guests!

Staying near the center of any city is expensive, however the price for this location still seemed high relative to the size and quality of the room. The room was quite noisy, with church bells going off at 7 AM sharp and then the noise of construction waking up even the soundest slumber. The location is walking distance to St. Stephens and other historic city sites, but still a bit of a trek for those who don't want to walk fifteen minutes to get there. Breakfasts were good. The hosts were friendly enough, but did not seem to go out of there way beyond the minimum morning greeting.

I was initially put off upon arrival when my partner and I were told that upon our checkout, cash would be preferred as method of payment, which seemed dodgy to me. The room we got was directly in front of the front desk, where cigarette smoking and conversation proved irritating, as did the fact that the staff couldn't seem to fix the remote control to the television, even after I requested another one to replace it (the scotch tape holding down the battery in the back of the remote should have told me everything I needed to know). Breakfast was basic, with fresh coffee provided and the other usual amenities (orange juice, bread, cheese, cold cuts). All in all, this pension/hotel provided little service and I will definitely look elsewhere the next time I'm in Vienna.

Our stay was comfortable. The only problem was the description mentioned free parking which was a misrepresentation. They offered a discount at a local garage close to the facility. This was an expense which put the price of the stay in the range of better properties.

Excellent location (next door to airport train and within walking distance from downtown)

It should definitely be stated on the website that the pension closes at 10 p.m. without a contact person with after hours telephone number. We had a very bad experience arriving after 11 p.m. (having driven all the way from Poland) and not being able to get in. Nevertheless we were charged full price for the first night which we had to spend at another hotel. The single rooms we booked, which were not displayed on the website, were tiny. In the evening the coridors were full of smelly used bed sheets. All in all it was a poor experience, the only positive aspects being the location and the breakfasts.

The location was great- just a block from the CAT and city train station and just on the edge of the inner city in a nice neighborhood. Easily and quickly accessed from either the airport or from the Sudbahnhof- no taxi needed. The single room was clean, neat and simple but quite small. The bathroom was very tiny with a shower only… you could sit on the stool and use the sink at the same time... not suitable for those with claustrophobia! However, you couldn’t beat the prices when compared with other lodging choices. The double rooms looked to be more reasonably sized with larger bathrooms…. simple but neat and clean. The breakfast was simple but good. The front desk personnel were very helpful booking sightseeing trips. I would definitely consider staying there again but would probably book a double room even for a single person

Comments of a single middle-aged art-historian come to visit the Giambologna exhibition: Exceptionally conveniently situated hotel, for u-bahn and CAT train service to the airport, and for trams to the museums. The hotel is without problems of steps for wheeled luggage, and lobby and breakfast areas are pleasant and welcoming. Rooms are doubled glazed & quiet. My single room was tiny but my only requirement was somewhere clean and safe to sleep so it was not important. My only problem was that it was sunny and my room was too hot, there was no air-conditioning, so if you book for summer you should ask for a room facing away from the sun during the day (ie not facing on to the Hauptstrasse). Otherwise it was fine, the owners were very nice, and I'll be staying there again.

Basic hotel/hostel in a good location. Rooms were clean but very basic. Staff were helpful and courteous. We would stay here again though. For the cost in a big city I have to say you can't expect much more.

I had a wonderful time at this hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel and you can't beat the price and the location. The hotel is literally like a 2 minute walk from the underground with shops around it. The breakfast was nice but standard, clean rooms, lots of tv stations, comfortable bed, secure hotel, helpful staff. Again for the price this is great value. I loved it and had a great time staying here.

You can't beat this property location - two blocks away from Wien Mitte (City Center) station and within walking distance to the Old City, transportation, banks, cinema etc. etc. The Pension occupies a floor of an old 5-story residential building and has a mix of rooms, some overlooking a busy street and some opening to much more quiet courtyard. This Pension was exactly what I expected, though bathrooms could be a bit bigger in size. A bit of advise to the fellow travelers: if you stay in Stadtpark, request rooms 9, 10 or 11 - those are the quietest ones.
