A small, expensive(breakfast should be included at this price), private and charming inn tucked away within gates of castle and not easily accessible to all transportation(our taxi from airport had great difficulty finding it and our hired driver/tour guide in SUV refused to drive up all the way to the hotel to pick us up...we arranged meeting her a 4- minute walk down the hill). Our very tasteful but small room (on top floor) had beautiful view of Tagus River and Lisbon rooftops. Bathroom also well appointed but tight. If your looking for a restful getaway in the middle of the city this is a perfect choice; if not you might feel a little isolated. The open, inner courtyard/patio with fountain is wonderful.
