Very good efficient hotel....easy access to museums etc....good restaurants very close by (out of the hotel, turn left and then look for a right turn... they're down that road on the right)

It didn't start quite well because although the reception staff were very welcoming, I was assigned to a room that was still not made up and it happened twice. Eventually I was upgraded to an executive room so it ended well. The location although not very near the center is right beside a park and it's beautiful.

el hotel esta bien el trato tambien el problema es me dijeron el pago se realiza en el hotel el mismo dia que hago la reserva de 590.00€ el hotel me cobra 630.00€ bueno sera alguna tasa extra. y cuando entro en el hotel el dia 20/08/08 me cargan 50€ en la tarjeta en base de fianza vale, el dia 22 35€ y el dia 26 130€ mas 210€ en total. tube que buscar un amigo de habla inglesa para llamar al hotel y solucionar el problema se cobran ese dinero por si consumes del mini bar que esta vacio y tardaran 6 o 7 dias en comprobar que todo esta en orden "te devuelven el dinero" segun me dijo nmi amigo nla telefonista dava esa esplicacion de memoria que es un problema habitual del hotel

L'hotel est situé dans un quartier très calme, voire même un peu chicos. Il y a de superbe villas à découvrir dans le coin. Pour rejoindre la ville, le tram passe devant et s'arrête à 100m. On peut y aller à pied une fois ou deux, mais le retour de nuit est un peu pénible après avoir déambulé pendant 10h au centre! Pour prendre le petit déjeuner (15€ à l'hotel), il y a un salon à 150m en allant vers le centre, mais le rapport qualité prix n'est pas meilleur (c'est bon mais cher). Le mieux est de patienter pour aller le prendre au centre. A noter qu'il n'est pas tous les jours facile de trouver une patisserie le matin...

This is an actual mid-market hotel. The location is in a very nice leafy neighbourhood. The main problem is that there is only one tram that goes past the hotel (tram 2, Emmastraat stop). During off-peak, this only runs every 15 minutes, and during heavy traffic or bad weather, it takes up to 25 minutes to get to the Central station. I would advise others to seek accommodation closer to the city centre. On the plus side, they did have BBC1, which was a very nice change from CNN.

The staff at this hotel couldn't be more pleasant and helpful, maps and guides were offered before asking. If booking this hotel you should be warned that it is not as close to the museums as the blurb states. When it says 5 mins walking, it should be by tram/car, it's a LONG walk!There is the No.2 tram running along the street which is very useful. The room we had was slightly disappointing, two beds were pushed together to make the double and the windows and curtains were dirty. However the bathroom was lovely and spotless. The breakfast is excellent, for a buffet style,with plenty on offer. Beware the breakfast costs extra, 10 euros each per night. Overall we had an excellent break, Amsterdam is as fab as ever!!
