Hotel located very close to Lancaster Gate underground station. Also a stop of bus No.94 (going to Piccadilly Circus) is located nearby. The room was spacious, equipped with refrigerator, hair fan, TV, kettle, trouser press. Bathroom equipped with tub.

Overall this is a good hotel choice as far as location and size and quality of room. The hotel was quite full which was evident at breakfast with a line to wait for a table and a poorly arranged buffet which created another line. The hotel seems well maintained with the exception of the hall carpets on our floor. They were faded and stained. If you are arriving in London early, make a reservation for the night before. The hotel was serious about not letting us check in until after 3 since they were heavily booked. The property is about a 5-10 minute walk to 2 metro stops on the Central Line. Lancaster Gate and Queensway, making it easy to get anywhere in London. Get the Oyster Card for the metro! Otherwise, you'll pay a lot more and waste a lot of time getting a ticket each time. The hotel is located one street away from busy Bayswater Rd. which gives the feeling of being in a quiet neighborhood while being close to transportation and services. The hotel has a comfortable bar area if friends from outside of the hotel are meeting you. There are also a few pubs and restaurants nearby. The Halepi Greek restaurant 1/2 block from the hotel has a fun atmosphere and excellent food, wine and service. Notting Hill, with its eclectic shops and beautiful residential areas, is walking distance on a nice day or 2 stops on the Underground.

In most respects it was an excellent choice of hotel, however ,they should be aware that second rate guest houses are giving free wifi for which Lancaster Gate is charging £5 for 24 hours also they charged £1 to hold our single case after we checked out I regard that as mean and stingy as we have never had anything like that in all our travels. The only other criticism is that we arrived there at 1530 on Friday and our room was not ready............

Staff helpful and knowledgeable - asked for a room with a bit more space, and was moved at no extra cost. Nice hotel, very clean and comfortable, but rooms are 'tired' and would benefit from a bit of updating.

Very clean and in a great location. Short walk from restaurants, pub, supermarket & convenience stores, hyde park/kensington gardens & palace, tube stations (queensway is closer than lancaster gate - we went to both). We walked from Paddington station both ways (perfect for Heathrow Express) which was a bit of a walk but fine with 2 big suitcases on wheels. We stayed on the 2nd floor & the room was smallish but not tiny. There was more than enough space for us with twin beds, small table & chairs, and our two big cases. I doubt you'd find bigger in london without paying a fortune. The only let down was the restaurant. Everything came with chips and when I asked to switch the chips for vegetables they said no problem but didnt do it. When I pointed it out when the meal arrived they provided tiny chopped up carrot, corn etc that had obviously been frozen in a packet and put in the microwave (i dont cook that at home so i definitely expect better from a restaurant). I ended up eating the chips after all with my overcooked "medium" steak. My mum ordered a chicken salad and it looked much better than my meal and she enjoyed it. We didnt have breakfast included so didnt bother to try to eat there then, there are pubs and cafes that are heaps cheaper to eat at for b'fast around the area (head towards queensway tube station). We arrived in the morning and sat in the lobby till we could check in (had to remind them that we were there). You can leave your bags & go out (they charge you a pound per bag to do this once you've checked out as they prioritise people who are checking in) but we were exhausted from a LONG flight so we sat and read the complimentary papers on the couches. Overall we had a great stay, and would stay here again if we were in London, we'd just eat somewhere else.

My Husband and I were in London visiting for 5 days. The Hotel was in a semi residental area. There were restaurants and shopping area within walking distance. Staff and breakfast were good. The negatives are that the toilet needed to be primed a few times before it flushed. We could hear people in the halls and the water running thru the pipes was evident. we would return to this hotel. We were in a room that was inside and therefore we did not have any noise from the street. Across the street was Hyde Park. Good location.

the hotel is in an excellent position -near to Hyde Park and 2 Underground stations but just off the main road so very quiet. We felt very welcomed by helpful staff. The room was fine and the breakfast very good. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come here again. The hotel is to be recommended.

This clean hotel is in a great location. The staff are welcoming and informative. The room we had was as seen in the photos and in a quiet corner. The hotel wasn't responsible for the inconsiderate people in the next room who spoke loudly when returning in the early hours of the morning! In general this hotel is very good in comparison with other hotels in this area.

We will certainly use this hotel again as it is perfect for getting into the centre of town and although the standard rooms are small, if you are only using it as a base? then its adequate. The staff are polite and accommodating, breakfast good and plenty of choice, overall, good value for money.

This hotel is a real find in London. Excellent value for money for a London hotel. Clean and fresh. Rooms are not the biggest in the world but more than adequate and similar to hotel rooms in older buildings in many cities worldwide. Room equipped with everything needed to make stay very comfortable. Good welcome from staff and great location for Central London. Definintely near the top of my list for London hotel room in the future.
