Novotel Milano Nord Ca' Granda - Milan

The Wifi didn't work The Gym is archaic and small It is too far away from the city centre (and thus very expensive if you count taxis).

Stayed overnight for La Scala..took cab to Opera. Not to hard to find. Nice Car park. Alittle far from the centro.

The welcome was terrible, most of front desk staff were very offhand. We wanted to stay in that area of Milano specifically in order to be close to the Arcimboldi Theatre to see 'Il Divo' in concert. So for our purposes the location was perfect. the room rate was excellent. we did not take the breakfast; there is a tea/coffee facility in the room, which was very handy. There is free parking right outside the hotel in a small car park, but it was full, so we used their underground parking at a cost of € 15 per day.

Typical Novotel. Well located to get into central Milan, with easy links out to the A4. Quiet residential suberb, although secure parking provided, there seemed to be no problem with leaving the car in the normal car park. Tram service from next street to centre of Milan took about 15 minutes.

The reception desk was rather cool in its approach to clients except for one clerk. The bar staff tended to restrain access to the garden and gave indication they preferred it not be used. The dining room staff ranged from excellent (the maître d'hôtel) to poor (white eye glasses server)
