Novotel Genova Ovest - Genoa

This was a lovely hotel for a one night stay in Genoa. It is modern, clean, and well equipped, however, its location on the west of town leaves you out of the action and nowhere near a neighborhood to explore. There are buses right outside for those who take them (we do). However, it is about 20 minutes to centro storico and cabs are very expensive. For a nice hotel, and the great deal we got from Venere.com, it was a great stay near the airport for an early flight.

The hotels location was a little way out from the centre but with good public transport did not cause a problem, overall the hotel was excellent and the staff coped very well as it was very busy. Breakfast was overpriced and the bar was expensive.......

Good place to stay for a trip to Genova down town. Although the surrounding is pretty industrial the hotel itself is nice to stay. With the bus you reach the old city in about 10 minutes. There are special fares for families which is quite sympathetic.

We chose the hotel for its location - it's very close to the motorway exit. First experience, the garage: agreed, it's a bit tricky to park although it's not that bad - at least we didn't get any bruises. The room was one of a very nice business hotel with movable writing desk, turn-out flatscreen tv, 160 cm wide, comfortable double bed, complimentary tea and coffee with kettle, spacious bathroom. The windows are soundproof (although if you want to, you can open them), no noise during sleep. Rich and good breakfast for the indicated extra price. And last but not least the city centre is 5-10 minutes walk and the area doesn't seem to be dangerous even in nighttime.

Hotel looks a little old.

The hotel is fully corresponding to expectations! new, comfortable, easy connected to the city. A 4stars hotel payed as a 3stars (but be careful: breakfast is not included!) The personnel at the reception is very young and kind. The only unconvenient was that the double room had another double-bed and so the free space was not enough! Definitely, I recommend it!

The hotel was great!!!!(clean and great rooms) It would be great if we had breakfast (we did have breakfast in all the other hotels we have booked in Italy). The surroundings of the hotel were terrible (we were afraid to walk around at night and there were no cafes or restaurants in the area).

L'infrastructure de l'hotel est excellente. Attention, acceuil très impersonnel, petit déjeûné dans la plus parfaite inorganisation, perte de temps et d'énergie.

Booked as B&B but the hotel wanted breakfast payed separately. Hotel Car parking 15.00 Euro/day. Excessive. Hotel resataurant: cuisine absolutely orrible. Staff does not know minimum basic english.

Un hotel vecchio, nella zona facilmente raggiungibile, ma davvero brutta. Il prezzo non corresponde al servizio offerto.

This hotel kept his promesses. The indications "how to get there" are not easy to find and to follow. coming from the port. But an excellent hotel to stay overnight when leaving or arriving. I don't think this to be a good location for a Genova visit.

Un hotel de passage, accueil international,rien à dire sur le service mais pas un hotel à recommander pour des vacances familiales ! Situation idéale pour un voyage en autoroute, regret special pour fin du petit-dejuener à 9h30 !

Excellent Hotel but too expensive during Genoa Boat show week, but understandable as everywhere full. Other than that the hotel is in an area that needs a cab ride to get anywhere, but the hotel itself, the staff and the rooms are mostly excellent
