Room too hot, no air con, even open windows couldn't cool the room down. Mini bar fridge heated room up further! Beds too soft

Hotel room was good but the surroundings is awful and the breakfast very poor. Lot's of groups in the hotel.

Primary advice: Be sure to check whether your European hotel has an air conditioner. Ours did not. This was not contrary to the web information, but it made for a warm stay. I cannot fault the hotel for this, but no A/C meant we had to leave the windows open to achieve a barely tolerable temperature; in the heat of June, the front desk did not even have fans to lend out. The open window allowed a. bugs (no screens on windows-dangerous!), and b. ROAD NOISE! There is a quite busy road below the hotel and we were subjected to the highway noise all night long. The hotel is on a river, which is great, but we did not get the river-side view because we needed 2 beds instead of 1. This probably led to increased sound of the road coming into our room. Pros: The front desk staff was very polite about speaking English to us, and corrected a room mistake (1 bed only) immediately. They were helpful giving directions to the bus, etc. Room was decent size with good bathroom, bar served really great mixed drinks, all other considerations were good-to-great. It would not have been loud at all probably, if it had not been so hot. Secondary advice: do not pay the price for the breakfast; there is a McDonalds just down the street for 1/4 the price. If you come to Trier/Germany/Europe to a non-air-conditioned hotel, just do it in the spring or fall.

A good value high-rise hotel with nice clean rooms and good facilities. The hotel is outside the old city, but we were happy with a flat 15-20 minute walk to the Altstadt. Alternatively, there are buses from just across the road. Overall, not bursting with character, but good and very reasonably priced.

Nice and clean hotel. The shower did not function properly though! The temperature changed slowly when set and varied a lot afterwards.

Staff very competent, wonderfull room (with an amazing view), surely one of the best hotels I´ve ever been. Congratulations!!!

Great hotel although a distance away from Trier. OK if you have a car because free parking is available. Bathroom was old and looked dirty but everthing else was wonderful.

What a fabulous hotel for a lesser price. We had a fantastic view of the river and the room was quite large with a very nice bathroom. We didn't pay for the breakfast as it was more than we wanted but I am sure it was quite a large buffet offering. A little difficult to find with the circles off the highway, but once we saw the hotel, it was easy to get to. Free covered parking was a plus for our rental car. The old Trier was also easy to get to and not far. I would definitely stay here again.
