Nice hotel, it is exactly 20 minutes walking from the center. waiting for the bus to take you to the center is not worth it, just walk and enjoy the city. The rooms are big, the breakfast is ok, and most important the price per night is very good. Friendly staff, not very good english though. Would definitely stay here again.

Colazione ottima e abbondante. L'Hotel dista circa 20 minuti a piedi dal centro. A 10 metri dall'Hotel c'è la fermata dell'autobus che porta in centro(linea 1 A o 1 B).

Wellcoming was good but I booked superior room, although it was like standard because there wasn't bathtub only shower head! And breakfast was poor, it's like a continental style. I had been waiting for scrambled egg for 40min from I've ordered.

Jolly Hotel Carlton has the standard of a four-star hotel. We were appalled by a four-star we booked near the Duomo on another website, and booked Jolly Hotel through Venere.com two days before we checked in. They were renovating the lobby during our stay, so the lobby area wasn't much of a lounge. We were upgraded to a room with a HUGH bathroom with marble bathtub and a really nice shower stall (was told it was their policy to upgrade whenever available-nice!). Breakfast is buffet continental. Our stay was in the first week of may, and for what we paid we certainly did better than we had when we were in Rome. The hotel is near the park where they have a "market" every tuesday. There's a bus stop right outside that brings us to the station terminal, and parking is also available right outside the hotel.Its a bit of a walk to the centre of Florence, but the comfort that this hotel provides is definintely worth it. Great for honeymooners.

Good accomdations at a good price, although the hotel is away from the town center it still offers a good location to the sites and nearby restaraunts. Some of Florences hidden treasures are to be found within 10 minutes of this hotel. One of the most famous single star Michelin rated restaraunts is less than a 10 minute walk away.

By car
From the North: exit the A1 Milano-Roma highway at Firenze Nord, then follow the indications to Firenze centro.
From the South: exit the A1 Roma-Milano highway at Firenze Sud, then follow the indications to Firenze centro.

By train
The Santa Maria Novella railway station is around 1 km/0.6 miles from the hotel. You can reach the property either by taxi or on foot in a 15-minute walk.

By airplane
The Florence Amerigo Vespucci airport lies approximately 8 km/5 miles away and is well-connected to the city centre by highway and the Airport Shuttle bus service to the Santa Maria Novella railway station. From the station follow the above-said indications. Otherwise you can reach the hotel by taxi in just a few minutes.
