This is a very good hotel. New, nicely equipped, comfortable, quiet and clean. The breakfast is a quality one and well worth its price, and is recommended, especially as there are no alternative facilities for breakfast in the vicinity. But only drawback is its distance from sites in East Berlin that you would like to visit. Even the name of the hotel is misleading. Hotel N. H. Alexanderplatz is three streetcar stations far from Alexanderplatz (take the M5 or M6 streetcar near the hotel) not next to Alxanderplatz as its name implies. From the Alexanderplatz many lines of transport are available. I suggest that before flying to Berlin, you should prepare your homework, listing places of interest that you would like to visit and their path to destination. You can find the S-bahn, U-bahn, buses and trams itineraries in your travel book or the internet.

This hotel is VERY nice for the price. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish we could have extended our stay in Berlin but the hotel was sold out. It is right outside of Alexanderplatz but walking distance to the SBahn. The hotel sells tram tickets which makes it quite easy for visitors. The breakfast was AMAZING! I will stay here again on my next trip to Berlin!

I enjoyed my stay in Berlin. There was a mix up with my room, which caused a delay and then an unavoidable move to a smoking room with no double bed. The staff though handled the situation well, giving me whichever options available in a professional manner. Would though suggest the map is updated to reflect detail and location in relation to public transport. The M5 & M6 tram is just outside the door and brings you to & from Alexanderplatz in 5 minutes.
