I had an excellent night at La Tana. The staff were most welcoming and showed me to my room quickly. I had a good meal in the restaurant. The hotel was quiet, clean and comfortable. I wish I could go there in the summer and take advantage of the external facilities.

This hotel was a comfortable place to spend a night on our drive north. The weather was warm, so the pool was particularly welcome. As our visit was in mid September, the air conditioning had been turned off in our room. However, as the weather was warm some flexibility in this policy should be considered for guests comfort.

Nice hotel, but a lot of stairs everywhere, the swimmingpool is great. The owners are very helpfull. We couldn't go to maratea, for the road was closed by a rock fallen down.

We found the hotel staff to be very helpful and welcoming. They provided us with excellent local information which was extremely helpful. The pool area of the hotel was particularly good, it was very clean and spacious and the member of staff who served in the bar area was very efficient.

great location with very friendly staff. 1km to private and public beaches. Our room was close to the main road so the traffic noise our only complaint. Would definitely recomend this location to others :)

Slightly difficult to find especially if the signs for the hotel are missed. Car parking was available just outside the hotel, which was convienient. Few English speaking staff but this didn't cause too much trouble. Rooms were situated behind the hotel with shutters to enter the room. This gave a slight isolating feeling. The room was cold initially but having requested heating, the staff were more than willing to assist. Generally room size was small. Overall, comfortable for perhaps a one night stay but wouldn't recommend for longer periods.

We stayed as a group in La Tana for about a week. The hotel is extremely well-run with every facility. The swimming pool is large with plenty of sun-bathing space. Rooms are very clean and cool, but can be noisy. Prices are excellent and value for money abounds. Staff are friendly and helpful, especially the wonderful Gabriella!

Es ist ein tolles Hotel, schöne Zimmer, Super Pool und wirklich gutes Essen!! Das Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit (Unser Auto ist stehengeblieben, aber alle haben uns geholfen und uns zur Werkstatt gefahren sowie ein Mietauto organisiert!! Leider ist es ein wenig abseits, zum Strand sind es gut 30 Minuten per Fuß, in die Stadt muss man mit dem Auto fahren, ca. 10 Minuten.

Nice staff in some way but we got a very bad room without a proper window. The ceiling was so low in many parts of the room, that it was impossible to stand in a right up position.We did not expect to get a room with sea view for the price we paid but at least a room with a window where it was possible to look out. The staff at the hotel was in no way open for a change of room. They simply did not understand that the facilities of the room not was proper for a 3 star hotel and they were not open for a discount. We can in no way recommend the place and we are very disapointed.

Great place to stay. Quite near train stations if needed. Good pool and bar/restaurant at pool. Lovely staff. Enjoyed our stay there. Short walk to the beach.

Upon our arrival we were overwhelmed by the amount of rules they told us. Hearing everything you're not aloud to do didn't make us feel welcome! The 2 bedroom/1 bath was very clean and spatious. The pool is on the other side of the main road. As you're not aloud to jump or play it's not family oriented but great for couples. The hotel is in the village of Castrocucco and not in Maratea. As the directions doesn't tell you this it's hard to find. With nice beaches nearby, the nice little family run trattoria Il Rustico on walking distance and a lot to do we might return to La Tana next year.

Lovely hotel and excellent staff, only complaint is air conditioning goes off at 1.30am so room gets too hot overnight. Also reserved a de-luxe room but it was small and no personal outside seating area available as balcony really just big window with standing room only!

Voor de nederlandstalige onder ons: Zeer propere kamers/hotel met bijzonder vriendelijk personeel.Mooi zwembad.Ligging is buiten centrum waar ook niet veel te zien is. Auto noodzakelijk !Kortom schitterend doorreis hotel voor enkele dagen of voor mensen die van rust houden.

Lovely large rooms, plenty of parking, friendly staff, good quality restaurant. Unfortunately not a lot to do in the small town and you need a car to get anywhere. Maratea itself is about a 10 minute drive.

A very pleasent suprise and we very much enjoyed the food. Nice rooms althought the location is a bit remote it is very peaceful and well signposted.

La Tana was difficult to find; it is located outside of Maratea, not in Maratea. Upon a late arrival, w/ a closed kitchen, the owner/manager made us panini's and opened the bar for drinks. The property is large and unique w/ impressive gardens; comes w/ covered parking lot across the stree. The manager took good care of us!

The staff was great, they immediately made us feel at home. The food was amazing, everything was fresh and of great quality. We absolutely recommend La Tana to anyone looking for a relaxing break in a beautiful town right near the beach.

It was a lovely hotel in a very peaceful and picturesque location. All the facilities were excellent and we would have no hesitation recommending it.

La Tana is a lovely Summer destination. The Food was great. The Rooms are small, and the heater is time controlled. No problem in the summer, we were there in the winter. Burr. The property stated it had Laundry facilities and it does not. Someone in the town does it and it takes more than one day. We scheduled our laundry for that time and had to travel on without clean clothes. All and all it is a good value property.

The best thing about this hotel is its restaurant - fabulous food at very reasonable prices. We had wonderful veal, pasta, spada, and other delights, including a marvelous vino della casa rosso. The location is the only downside - it's about 10 km south of Maratea and a pretty hairy drive between there. Owners very friendly although no English spoken by anyone (I speak only a little Italian but I enjoyed that). Highly recommended. Maratea is a very nice little town and I think we were the only English-speaking tourists there that day. If you want to see the coast without the hassles associated with Amalfi (i.e., a gazillion tourists and high prices year-round) then visit Maratea and stay at La Tana.
