Baslertor Summerpool Hotel - Lucerne

This hotel is nicely lcoated in a quiet part of town. Unfortunately outside our window there were people partying all night long. However the room was very nice and the front desk staff very friendly and accommodating.

Leider war der öffentliche Bereich neben dem Pool und die Bar Raucherbereich. Das komplett asiatische Personal hatte Sprachprobleme mit Deutsch und Englisch. Sehr gute Lage des Hotels im Zentrum von Luzern, leider neben dem sehr lauten Wehr.

The guy who worked at the travel desk wasnt so friendly when we arrived! He wasnt really helpful at all. Night staff was much better! The rooms are not bad and what you get for the price not bad either! Had a good stay and it is well situated.

The hotel is in a good location, but the room was the size of a postage stamp. We traveled with our 2 kids and they put four of us into the most tiny room. They gave the kids beds that were from chairs and they were not very comfortable. For the money we paid this hotel was a total rip off!! The breakfast was also a rip off. For 18 SF I had to cook my own egg!! This hotel is 100% RIP OFF!! Stay Away!!

Spacious rooms, great location and helpful & knowledgeable staff. For Switzerland reasonable value for money. Some rooms had air conditioning but not others so quite hot in summer.

The hotel was one of few that offered our family of 4 accommodation in the one room. It was tight but comfortable and beautifully located. We used the hotel simply as a sleeping base for which it was ideally suited. It was reasonably priced and the room was well serviced.

La colazione non era inclusa ed era particolarmente cara visto quello che viene offerto. Il personale della reception è un po' assente: entrando non si incontrava quasi mai nessuno alla reception; se chiamati rispondevano tempestivamente ma l'ingresso non controllato non dà grandi garanzie di sicurezza.

Breakfast not included in price. Location for people coming from Railway station was not clear at all. Rooms and other areas were cramped. We dont want to see Thai pictures / frames in a Swiss hotel room. Didnt make any sense to us. We would rather visit Thailand for this.

After good experience a year ago we came back to this hotel as an overnight family stay on our way to Italy. Unfortunately we left less satisfied due to a lot of noise in arounding rooms and street (until late in the night) Welcome was very low and the price of this room is far too high compared with the quality. We were shocked by the prices in Switserland

Quad room is too small for 4 people. the location is very convenient for those who travel by train.

Room size excellent. Location very close to train station and city centre. Price high but expected because of popularity of city. Some late night noise from inhouse bar was unwelcomed. Smoking was permitted in the inhouse bar.

A very nice, clean an quite hotel located in the center of Lucern, very close the promenade and to the railstation. I think I'll be back!

The best:the location, and the employees kindness. On the other hand they could improve the public areas.

Good quiet central location.

Convenient location and very spacious rooms are a definite plus. But for the prices, services provided were very poor (esp by Swiss standards)- no breakfast, have to order breakfast in advance, no wi fi internet, not so courteous staff and even the daily room cleaning was half done.

A perfect hotel to stop for the entire family on your way to Italy

The hotel is in a perfect location. The price seemed high for the size of the room and no air conditioning. It was very warm/hot so we had to sleep with the door and window open which is not ideal in a terraced room.

Nice place to stay in downtown area Luzern. Easy public transportation, eating. View of Luzern was limited.

Quad room was a little small. Not a lot of room for luggage and four people. Great location in a beautiful city. Breakfast was not included and was not worth the money.

The location was good. A short walk to many restaurants, and Old Town. The staff was not very friendly or helpful, however. When we asked questions, we were referred to the TI office, and told they were just trying to run a hotel. They could not refer us to any near location where Internet access was possible.

Wide room with good furniture, quiet and light hotel at walking distance from the downtown a lot of restaurants in the surroindings

Nice place, very kind manager, speaks several languages. The rooms are simple but practical, clean. The location is kind of perfect, just next to the old town (2 min by foot). To be recommended.

The hotel is in a great area and is very clean. The price for the room is also excellent, especially for that area. I would definately stay there again and would reccomend to others.
