This hotel is situated next to Queen St Station and only a 2 minute walk from our platform! It overlooks George Square and is within walking distance of most things. Our room was standard and of average size for the UK. We had meals at the hotel which was excellent but there are lots of restaurants only minutes away. I would recommend this hotel.

A great central location. Map shows hotel on opposite side of George Square - in fact it is right next to Queen St station. I lugged my bag right past the handy but NOT well signed side entrance and all around the square till I realised where it was! Windows aren't double-glazed, so street noise could be a problem.

Travelling with my sisters, mother, cousin and neice - for shopping and leisure. The hotel was great location to main shopping areas. Had lovely meal in hotel restaurant the first night. Staff all very helpful - as we arrived early and they gave us one room where we could leave all the cases. Was some noise - police or fire siren during the night but most, including the most sensitive of my sisters to noise slept through. Any noise was occassional. It was not overly noisy or intrusive. Will use the hotel again.

We followed other travelers' suggestion and asked for room on the Square, and got one right on top floor! Unlike us, we spent a lot of time in public areas (lounge, bar, etc.) - very comfortable and nice buzz with good service. Good value for money in a well restored historic building.

The hotel is perfectly located in downtown Glasgow. Comfortable rooms with pretty good size bathrooms. Half minute walk to the train station and two minutes walk to airport bus stop. Excellent Price/Quality relationship. We highly recommend this hotel.

The room and bed were the largest of any that we had stayed in during our vacation to the UK. The staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to answer our questions. The local train station is next door and the National Rail Line was approx. 15 min. walk.

Glasgow was, on this occasion, a staging post for a trip to the Western Highlands. The Millenium Hotel was perfect in this regard being next to the railway station and very central for a quick look at the city. The hotel itself proved to be a good standard 4*.

Glasgow is an interesting city with a strange blend of old and new. Much of this was influenced by the almost art-deco architectural styling of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, who along with his followers came to change the face of the city in the late 1800's. This old/new theme opens today's review, but I have to start by admitting that I am stumped. I'd love to have something critical to say about the Millennium Glasgow, but the hotel was great! And even better, the rate we got from Venere was unbelievable for this quality property. So yes, you read it right - top marks all around! Situated on George Square this property is positioned at the very heart of Glasgow. Everything you want is within easy walking distance, including the Hop-On/Hop-Off tour bus if you want a nice city tour. One of the two main rail stations is just behind the hotel, and an Underground station is very close by. Continuing the old/new theme, the hotel is housed in an old building with character, but it is a completely modern hotel, re-done within the last few years to the highest possible standard. The rooms are modern and well appointed. They are well insulated from the noise of the busy square, and are even air conditioned. Wi-Fi internet access is available, and there are further internet terminals in the hotel lobby. (For the cost-conscious, a great little internet cafe only a block away which would be a much more reasonable alternative!) Our complimentary upgrade to a "Club Suite" gave us an absolutely huge room by anyone's standards, with some sitting space in addition to a (US!) King size bed. Club rooms also provide access to a special lounge with some more free goodies. (Unfortunately not with our complimentary upgrade.) But any room you choose will be suitable in this hotel. There you have it - nothing bad to say about the hotel. Ok it's got 4 stars instead of 5, but at this price who cares?
