Overall the hotel was average for a 3 star hotel, but not in any way special and definitely unfriendly. The reception staff were barely able to acknowledge my existence. They were a little more friendly to German speaking customers, but not to anyone else. Did not even say thank you or goodbye when I left and made me feel very unwelcome. I travel a lot and this service was a surprise. Also, the staff assumed and gave me a smoking room - which I neither wanted nor requested - and I hate smoking rooms. The room and floor smelt of smoke in the morning - horrible. As for the location of the hotel, it was fine, except that no useful advice was given as to how to get from the U-bahn to the hotel, a hike of about 2km. I phoned the hotel from the exit of the U-bahn but, yep, you guessed it, I felt like I was being a nuisance - had to work it out for myself in the end by asking people on the street. I would not recommend this hotel, perhaps unless you are German speaking or like rude service.

By car
From the A1 highway, take exit Wien Zentrum and drive towards Schönbrunn until Schönbrunner Straße. Turn left at the signs to Praha and follow the indications towards the Mariahilfer Gürtel. At the square, before the Westbahnhof train station, turn right into Mariahilfer Straße.
From the A2 highway, drive to Zentrum and straight ahead to Triester Straße, continue until the Wiental-Gürtel West, turn left and follow the signs to Praha and the Mariahilfer Gürtel. At the square, before the Westbahnhof railway station, turn right into Mariahilfer Strasse.
By train
From Westbahnhof railway station, take underground line U3 to the Neubaugasse stop.
From Südbahnhof train station, take bus 13A to the Neubaugasse stop.
By airplane
From Vienna airport, take the bus to Westbahnhof train station and continue by underground.
