Hotel Mercure Napoli Sud Sakura - Torre del Greco

My main complaint was the room was very warm and stuffy. It seemed like the hotel 'restricted' the airconditioning.

Bedrooms(at least the third floor)will must be reformed and repared, especially bathroom and terrace.

Exceptional value for money, near the most attractive locations in Napoli Gulf but far from chaos of the city, however, is easily accessible. spaciouness of room, quite location, common space, swimming pool are the strengths of this accomodation.

The hotel and its surroundings are very convenient as it is close to the A1/A3 motorway. Also Vesuvius and Erculaneum etc. However, it is very expensive for what it is. Dinner had a fixed menu and was again very expensive, very few guests eat in although the food was good quality. The service was very poor almost up to Fawlty Towers standards. There is no atmosphere in the restaurant, and breakfast was truly appalling (even for Italy). Many guests were laughing at the poor service and lack of anything to eat or drink. The hotel was filled during the day by conferences which is clearly their main business. They were uninterested in us! Torre del Greco itself is not accessible without transport and it is a busy and difficult drive to get into the centre of the town.

Nice spacious room, the hotel is clean with good services. The pool is not dedicated to hotel guests, it is a public pool. There is nothing to do within walking distance, but downtown, the pier, Vesuvio and Pompei are a close car ride. Free parking. I would recommend the hotel depending on the proposed rate, to me it is a 3 star hotel.

Very nice hotel, very spacious room. The front desk employe did not seam to be to keen in helping us with directions or places to see. The dining room staff was very nice and friendly, the food was excellent.

Torre de Greco is very very busy ! But the Vesuvio is quiet and so close ! Nice and large swimming pool open to outside swimmers.

Nice first category hotel. An international and congress style, not typical italian. Its surroundings are a great advantage, in a nice and very quiet residencial area of Torre del Greco, next to Herculanum, the Vesuve and Pompei. A car is needed.
