Excellent Hotel wih friendly staff, free (safe) parking and tidy rooms. Alterations were in progress but didn't affect our stay. Did not eat at the Hotel as there were so many options nearby. A 2 min walk to the city centre and shops wih a park next door. Very easy to find with GPS.

Ottima accoglienza: il personale alla reception è stato molto gentile e disponibile. Ottima la posizione: l'hotel è praticamente in centro, in meno di 5 minuti a piedi si è nel cuore della città. Molto comodo il parcheggio gratuito all'aperto riservato agli ospiti dell'hotel. Ottima stanza: pulitissima, silenziosa, confortevole. Il Mercure Astoria è un'ottima soluzione, anche per il rapporto qualità prezzo davvero insuperabile (noi abbiamo speso 65 € x notte senza colazione). Unico neo: l'hotel è un po' anonimo e l'esterno dell'edificio è piuttosto brutto, insomma non è indicato per chi sta cercando soluzioni di charme. Comunque noi riteniamo di aver fatto un'ottima scelta.

This hotel ideal for exploring Reggio Emilia as it is 5 mins walk from main piazzas in old town. Price very good also. Room fine, however we could hear our neighbours tv very clearly so either he had it up v. loud or walls a bit thin! €5 express breakfast v. good value for money, would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area as it's on the edge of town to make an escape to autostrada but near enough to get the atmosphere of Reggio Emilia
