Only possible criticism was stale cigarette odour. Otherwise excellent.

AT THE ARRIVAL THE ROOM WAS PERFECT, BUT THEY DIDN'T CLEAN NOR TIDY UP THE ROOM THE MORNING OF THE 2ND DAY AND FOR THAT IS A SERVICE YOU RECEIVE IN HOTELS THAT COSTS HALF THE PRICE...

Centrally located and seconds from the metro. Surrounding area rather shabby. The hotel rooms although described as de luxe were little better than functional, certainly not of 4 star standard in the UK. Staff were generally pleasant and helpful, although the twin room we had booked (and confirmed over the phone) was not available and we had to settle for a double. Overall, not a luxurious experience, but perfectly serviceable and by Parisian standards relatively good value.

Perfect for the price. We had twin single beds pushed together which took up most of the floor space but didn't need more. Beds were excellent, firm and comfortable. Crisp clean sheets, nice duvets wrapped in sheets. Enough room to unpack in the closet, and had a room safe. Didn't use the minibar. The bathroom was very new and clean, full size tub, lots of counter space, excellent hair dryer, two white toweling robes. We were on the 5th floor but no problem with the elevator. Directly across the street from the Dupliex metro station. Didn't eat breakfast in the hotel, went next door for a light breakfast instead. Didn't use any of the other hotel facilities. The staff spoke enough English and were very friendly and welcoming. The area around the hotel isn't too interesting, but lots of casual restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Felt safe. Twice a week there's a lovely market right across the street.

Excellent in every way - beautiful room, great location (literally across the street from the metro stop), only one stop away from the Eiffel Tour. We took the metro to and from the airport, it was very easy. They gave us a map of the city when we checked in, which was really helpful, and gave us a delicious recommendation for a late lunch. They do have "Orange" wi-fi but you have to pay extra for it. The Venere rate was much lower than the window-posted rate at the hotel. We didn't try the breakfast, but it looked good. I would definitely stay here again.

Buena habitación, aunque pequeña. Personal muy educado y competente. Muy buena zona, justo frente al metro y al lado de varios locales para desayunar, comer o cenar, y a cinco minutos a pie de la torre Eiffel. Muy recomendado.

cleanliness of hotel etc fine & staff very polite & helpful but felt price far to high for what was offered in the hotel room. There was no tea or coffee facilites in the room which for a 4 star hotel I would of expected there to be. Also in one part of the room the wall paper was peeling of the wall and the shade on the large lamp was broken/dented around the top. Didn/t eat in the hotel but there was plenty of places within easy walking distance.

We are an older married couple. This was our first trip to Paris. We were at the Mercure Tour Eiffel for an extended week in October 2007. We can't say enough about the extremely helpful front desk staff. They were friendly and eager to serve. They suggested restaurants which were good, helped us figure out metro connections on the maps they provided, made sure we received messages and made reservations for us. This last was very important because our French was limited. One of our bags was delayed and we were of course very concerned. They assured us that everything would be okay. They provided toothpaste, brushes etc gratis and suggested local stores where we could acquire other essentials while we waited. After a day, on their own initiative, they called the airline to check status. They watched for our bag and as soon as it arrived they called us. Everything they did really made us want to come back to the Hotel Mercure. Our room was very quiet. And the small bar off the lobby was inviting. They provided olives, cheeses and the ubiquitous tasty French bread without asking. Our room was clean, the fixtures modern, and everything in it worked including a small safe. The elevator was modern and worked well. The Hotel was a few feet from a Metro stop. The only negative was the lack of closet space, but I understand that's to be expected in Paris. We did not use the restaurant. So we have no comment on its value.

Shuttle service from airport extremely poor! Shuttle van was full in back, so driver put my mother and me in front seat with him and drove at extreme speeds, narrowly missing multiple accidents until he sideswiped another vehicle. He then claimed the other driver was at fault, and after arguing heatedly with him left the scene, claiming the other guy left the scene. Very frightening ride and took over an hour, normally should take 30 minutes. Excellent proximity of hotel to Tour Eiffel and metro.

We had a very nice stay at Hotel Mercure Tour Eiffel. The recepionist gave us a different room to what we had booked for first, but was willing and helpful to correct a the situation. The air conditioning did not work but the staff fixed it for the next day after announcing the problem. The staff spoke English well, and were kind and helpful with us all time. As we had a room at the front side of the hotel, and a wide street and an elevated metro line were under our window, we must say the quietness for the room and noiseproof window were excellent. The upper quarter part of the Eiffel Tower is visible from the from, with very nice lightning in the evening. Overall we had a very nice stay at Hotel Mercure Tour Eiffel and would recommend others to visit this hotel.

Our first time in Paris, so your not sure what to expect. Coming from Australia you notice the room size (small) and the slight smell of smoke in the lobby (not a real problem just unexpected). Bathroom & toilet are good size, very clean and overall the rooms are very quite. Breakfast was expensive at 19 euro each but the cafe on the corner (20 meters) was very good at around 20 euro for both of us. At the end of the day the best recommendation is "would you use this hotel again?" and in our case we re-booked for a one night stay on our return from Italy. Great job and thanks to everyone at the Mercure Tour Eiffel.

We were overall very happy with the Hotel Mercure. It was conveniently located, very quiet and clean, with helpful, friendly staff. There were plenty of places to eat close by, too. It was expensive but so was everything else in Paris. And, the Internet service went down after our first day there and they were never able to get it fixed the rest of the time. We were there 6 nights. All in all, it was a great little spot and we'd return if we were going back to Paris.

Our stay at the Mercure Tour Eiffel was very pleasant. Everyone at the desk spoke excellent English and were very helpful. The location is excellent for site-seeing with multiple restaurants of every type within easy walking distance. Immediately across the street is a subway terminal making most sites accessible within ten to twenty minutes. Our room was clean, comfortable and nicely appointed, but quite small. Our mattress was unusually cozy for European standards. Plan on mopping the bathroom floor after a shower for lack of a curtain. Despite some quirks, we very much recommend this hotel and would stay again.

An excellent base to explore the city. Very central, and the hotel is a couple of steps from the metro stop, making it all the easier to get about! A great location, 5 mins walk from the Eiffel Tower. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable, and very clean. I would highly recommend the hotel to others visiting Paris.

Like all Parisian hotels, the rooms in Mercure Tour Effiel are small (and look larger in the photographs), but other than that, this is a fine hotel in an excellent location and the rooms have all the facilities that they advertise. The staff are friendly, the standard of cleaning is good (though we weren't sure about the turnover of the bed clothes on our day of arrival) and you just can't beat where it is situated, right across from the metro station (which is not noisy) and within ten minutes walk of the Tour Effiel. The surrounding neighbourhood is good for small grocery shops and there are some nice restaurants and coffee bars nearby to drop in to and avoid the main tourist areas not far away. Of particular note is the food market on Sundays and Wednesdays, which gives you a marvellous selection of goods for a perfect picnic at the nearby Tour Effiel itself. We would most likely stay here again, although we do tend to like to say in different areas when we revisit a city.

We had a fantastic stay. The manager we called broom helga, but the rest of the staff was AMAZING and wonderful. When we arrived the manager lady greeted us and she was dry and fake but the rest of the staff was smiling and wonderful.

Overall experience was excellent. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful, with no language barriers. Great location just outside the Metro, which we used constantly. Even a market on Sunday, just across the road from the hotel (much to my husband's horror re my shopping!) The room was standard and very clean. Breakfast was not included in the price. We would have no hesitation recommending this hotel.
