Expect for better service for 4 stars hotel, one staff didn't have a good service mind at all.

Not far from the hotel is the Richard Strauss Institut that had a free open air concert the evening I was in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It was really nice to listen to listen to that music as the sun set on the Alps. There's a good Irish Pub called "Irish Pub" toward the center of town that is excellent. Ask for the manager Karl and tell him Frommer's sent you.
