Hotel is beautiful but dinner in the restaurant was odd. Food was good but no atmosphere with only a few dinners. Very very expensive with loads of hidden taxes on your bill. £350 for two plus dinner for one night was too much.

My husband and I stayed 1 night in a golf room. We had originally booked for 4 nights in a superior room but changed our plans. We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the golf room - very spacious, nicely decorated, large comfortable bed, big bathroom. We felt it was very good value and didnt mind not having a view. The hotel is an easy walk down the hill to shops. We later stayed 3 nights at the Sofitel Thalasso and although enjoyed having the 5 star amenities with the lovely big pool and being right on the beach, the Mercure was much better value than the Sofitel which was quite out of character with the other lovely buildings in the area. We would definitely recommend the Mercure for quality and value unless you really want to be right on the beach.
