Your travel guide to Benidorm
Filled with bustling beaches and towering skyscrapers, Benidorm City is known for its high hotel standards and gorgeous scenery. Benidorm is the birthplace of package tourism, making the city perfect for any holiday. For a break from exciting city life, Serra Gelda National Park is right around the corner.
There are five major sections to Benidorm. They are Poniente, Levante, El Castell, La Cala and El Rincon de Loix. Poniente and Levante are frequented by tourists and both contain clean beachfronts. La Cala refers to the west side of Poinete, and El Rincon de Loix is to the east of Levante. El Castell is the old town, where many events are held throughout the year. In El Castell, you will find plenty of shopping and historical attractions.
Because Benidorm is very accustomed to tourists, the city is filled with easy ways to get around. The tram and the Limon Express train visit most of the major areas of the city and run very frequently throughout the day. Local Benidorm buses also run frequently to most areas of the city. Shuttle buses are another option, and many hotels have their own accommodations for tourists. If none of those options are appealing, it is fairly easy to hail a cab in Benidorm.
Benidorm is an exciting place for tourists to explore or sit back and relax. The perfect combination of exotic city life and beachfront make this Spanish city popular all year round. After a day at the beach or your luxury hotel in Benidorm, enjoy some of the most exquisite bars and clubs in the world. For a day of fun, roam the Terra Mitica park zoo, enjoy one of several outdoor music festivals throughout the year or shop till you drop in La Marina shopping centre.
