Leonardo Hotel & Residenz Muenchen - Munich

Friendly and helpful staff. Loved the Italian restaurant.

It was fine for our party of 3 males. The station is just across the road and only a few minutes to the city centre. Free WiFi rather than the high charges would have made our stay more enjoyable.

Room has no air or ventilation. Windows open to smoking area which is loud and smells late into night. Makes it difficult to be in room. Management combative about this problem.

Located 4 subway stops from main rail station and only a few hundred feet from the subway station. Located in quiet residential section of Munich. Great spa and steam room. Some rooms have small refrigerator and cooktop.

Our whole family loved the staff. They were very kind and helpful. The waitstaff at breakfast were also very helpful and the breakfast was enormous! The availability of a self laundry facilities were a BIG plus. We would have liked better workout facility. Because the workout facility was not sufficient, two of our party had to run outdoors. Given the area, we were a little concerned about their safety. The location was very good for the price. It gave us a chance to get familiar with the Subway and get to know the city a little better. Overall a nice stay!

Very nice facility. Just south of the downtown center, a short Ubahn ride. (5min). Stop was very close 1 1/2 short block away. Immediate area seemed very safe, but frankly did not explore too much of the area, always headed into town. Did not take part in breakfast buffet offered, but looked like a nice selection available. Small grocery store nearby (PennyMarkt) open 8-8pm. Small german restauant and pub nearby, Gesinger Alm, Pretty good food, reasonable prices. Also a chinese restuarant around corner, did not eat there, but looked good. Italian restaurant attached to hotel looked very good, however, did not eat there either. Room was quite large, easily slept myself wife and adult son. Comfy beds, third bed was a Futon style couch, quite nice. 24 hr front desk staff was very nice, courteous, and prompt. Easily would return if in the area again.

Big and very clean rooms. It has kitchen. It is located in a lovely place that although it is not so near the center, you have the subway station very very near. Its 5 minutes from de center in subway.

Me and my wife stayed with our 16m old boy. Hotel is 5mins from the train station and a 10m journey to the city centre. Value for money for the location. Small rooms but enough if all you need to do is sleep in them. Provided a babycot on request, good breakfast and helpful staff. Very quiet neighbourhood, which helped my son sleep !

our room was located next to a visitor terminal and elevator. I complained after 2 nights and got another quieter room

To find the hotel by car is a little bit difficult, but staying at München was so good. Hotel kitchen is a little bit overloaded, but quality is excellent. Reception area has a lot of colleagues, some of them very friendly, some not real, but the staff of Dining room and Kitchen are so kind and helpful. Thank for all.

Good hotel not far from center (by metro) but little too expensive (breakfast not included).

Affordable apart-hotel with good size rooms and terrace. Easy transport access to the centre of Munich in less than ten minutes.Small kitchenette was very useful and supermarket is across the street. Double bed in spacious double room was ideal for single traveller. Queit location. Highly recommended.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay, its a nice clean, modern hotel very close to U-bahn. Staff friendly and polite. Our good sized "superior" room had a fridge but lacked the stated kitchenette, however staff were happy to provide a kettle and a couple of coffee mugs on request. Didn't try breakfast, they're seldom worth it, loads of cafes round the corner. Only real shortcoming is lack of aircon in room with huge, west-facing, sun-trap of a bay window in July. We'd certainly come again.

This is good for folks looking for basic requirements during a business trip. The breakfast at the hotel is quite expensive though. There are several restaurants around for dinner. The place being very close to U-Bahn helps a lot. If you are going in summer, the rooms may get pretty hot as they don't have A/C or fan. You will have to open the windows.

The restaurant attached to the hotel is wonderful! This is the best Italian food I have had in Germany. The hotel is in a good central location.

An ideal hotel for relaxing or businness in Munich.Very clean and friendly atmosphere,far from the city (about 4 km)but in relation price-hotel is EXCELLENT...

While this hotel is not in the center, it is a few steps to the metro which takes you there in a few minutes. The hotel itself was very nice, cozy and quiet. I would stay here again with friends. Alone, it might be pricey.

This is my first time staying at Leonardo Hotel & Residenz Munchen. It is a good hotel at a reasonable price. I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again the next time I'm back.

The Staff at the Reception and also the Cleaners and the plumber who fixed our blocked Drain in Room 131, very helpfull,polite and Professional!!! We will be back again soon.Thank you for having us.

Leonardo H&R is very pleasant hotel, clean and cosy. Personnel is polite and friendly. It was very convenient for us to coock in a rooms kitchen. What to coock from we found in nearby little shop. We enjoied staying here. It’s a pity we staied only 1 night.

Hotel was extremely expensive for the type of accommodation. We think they bumped the prices up for oktoberfest. Would never stay there again! Also for the price, breakfast was not even included,!!! The international call rates are absolutely pathetic.

Nice hotel and a good starting point to visit Munich. We found a good price for a quadruple room but the room was not so big. Some problem to find the room from the parking and also to find the room coming back from the Ocktoberfest ;)

COnveniently located near a subway station. Very warm and friendly staff. The room is spacious enough with a little balcony and a mini kitchen (MW oven, mini bar, sink and sikverware)that would come in handy for the one staying a little longer.

Fuori mano ma facilmente raggiungibile, garage estremamente efficiente, stanze accoglienti e pulite, arredamento ultrafuzionale. Internet disponibile ma a pagamento.

Hotel buono molto vicino alla Metro con cui era possibile raggiungere il centro in dieci minuti. Staff gentile e disponibile. Poiché siamo arrivati un giorno prima, ho avuto una stanza più costosa ma di livello superiore e la stessa mi è stata mantenuta anche per le altre due notti prenotate (la prenotazione implicava una camera standard). La stanza era carina anche se relativamente piccola e disponeva di una piccola cucina (posta in un armadio) comoda per piccole necessità. Bagno adeguato con bella doccia.

This hotel is NOT a four star hotel. Felt like staying in a college dormitory. Room and bed were tiny. Arrived in pouring rain and was ushered out of adjacent Leonardo Restaurant (part of the hotel) and made to walk around the corner to the entrance with our baggage and three year old. Then told 'no bed for three year old' (apparently due to this venere website losing our booking request). We were then told 'housekeeping gone home - no sheets available - she'll have to sleep between you.' Given the tiny bed, this was ridiculous. Thirty Euros for a late check out fee. Not negotiable.

staff at front desk could be friendlier

We stayed at this hotel after trying, unsuccessfully, to cancel our reservation at the Modern Hotel in Munich. The Modern looked horrible, in a terrible neighborhood, and was approximately the same price.

Hotel complessivamente accettabile, anche se da un quattro stelle ci si aspetta sicuramente di più. Attenzione agli allergici perchè l'albergo è circondato da platani e pioppi che rilasciano le loro infiorescenze sotto forma di batuffoli simil cotone, e che possono scatenare asma.

Very helpful English speaking staffs. Excellent Breakfast, well worth it. Free Internet only at Lobby ONLY is quite a disappointment, however, access is good, high quality. Alternatively, pay Euro 1/- for their terminal use which is excellent value. Airport fare is around Euro 65/-

The room was generally nice, but there were some surprising things missing. I’ve never stayed in a hotel room that doesn’t have a kettle. It was nice to have a fridge and cooker in the room as we could prepare our own meals together. Also the cutlery was a strange collection, 2 knifes and forks, but only 2 tiny sugar spoons, also there were 2 plates but no bowls and only 1 pan or anything else you would need to prepare a meal.... The cleaner just walked into our room on about day 3 as well, even though we had a do not disturb sign on the door, he seemed very apologetic, but surly he should have known not to come in? The balcony was a lot smaller than the one pictured, the room itself was functional and clean and on the whole we both enjoyed our stay. Overall the room was nice but these small exceptions did affect our stay a certain amount.

An outstanding facility, at a convenient location on the U-bahn. Quiet, clean, safe, with all the conveniences. Grocery store is nearby, and the city center is only a few metro stops away. The staff were outstanding -- even mailed my postcard back to the States for me. When I asked to extend my stay one weekend night, they lowered my rate for the extension.

Enjoyed our stay, would stay again!

Telephone broken. Someone came to fix it, and couldnt no one inquired as too if it was fixed or not. Could not get the phone fixed. Staff was helpful with questions inregards to Munich area. The staff was not helpful with any additonal information. During busy hours, put your questions aside to check in people. Despite having multiple staff members at the front counter.

Found a clean, efficient facility as indicated by hotel website with a nice balcony off our room. Staff is competent but lacking in friendly or helpful customer service skills. High Internet fee of 8 Euro/hr. Internet cafe 2 blocks away is only 1 Euro/hr. Restaurant staff refused to prepare water or coffee to go.

The interaction with staff was reserved but polite.

Great hotel, out of the centre of town but just down the road from public trains. Front desk staff excellent and very helpful with information. Rooms big and clean. Filling breakfast.

The accomodation was fine without being exceptional. I stayed in an Aparthotel in Barcelona last year for the same price and it was far superior in size and quality. That said the room was clean and the location is convenient to the U Bahn (Metro) so that you can reach anywhere in the city centre quickly. The breakfast was good.

I would like to very much thank Chris Ringer (he was on reception on 6/09/06) for his invaluable help when i missed my flight. I rang the flight company from my mobile phone, however the instructions were in German so he spent as long as it took to get me a new flight. He was very patient and told me that it was no trouble for him. I would highly recommend Apart hotels to my friends and colleagues

The staff was very helpful. A modern hotel, the room was very comfortable and quiet. Although the hotel is out of the city center, it is literally steps from a tube stop where it is then 5 or 10 minutes to the center. Other than the internet access being too expensive, I would rate this Hotel as a place I would enjoy staying again.
