We were not informed that we had to reserve 24 hours in advance for shuttle - waited at airport, finally had to take a taxi after borrowing someone's phone and calling hotel. They were very unhelpful. Upon arriving at hotel, complained and after much back and forth discussion, they finally comped 1 breakfast. The breakfast was almost 15 Euros, and was not worth even half of that. Felt the whole experience was handled poorly. It was a rather seedy hotel in a seedy neighborhood. The shuttle to the airport the next morning was fine, however.

Nice hotel in a nice location, a few minutes' drive to the airport. They have free wifi in the lobby, but in the room you have to pay 8 euros an hour, and this is the reason why we will never return to this hotel. To add to that, the hotel had no information at all on our Venere reservation. We were lucky that they had available rooms and that they charged us the same price. Thanks for nothing, Venere.

This hotel is very clean & neat with restaurant & bar service. The beds were comfortable and nice bathroom. Our room was small. We had a problem getting here. Our reservation stated that shuttle service was available from the airport. When we could not find the shuttle, we called the hotel & were told that we needed to call 24hrs prior to arrival to get this service. This hotel is located in a residental area, not convenient to the airport without shuttle service.

The Leonardo "airport-hotel" was chosen because (1)it was supposidly close to the airport (2)they offer free shuttle to/from the airport (3)the price...The hotel was not close to the airport which our cab driver explained was true of most hotels claiming to be "airport Hotels"- The "free shuttle service" doen't run on the weekends- At our own expense we had to take a cab to the property (24euro each way!) which completely took away any value to this property-The front desk upon check in was very un-sympathetic and un-apologetic while explaining that their contract had changed with the transportation provider. Thankfully the morning staff was much nicer and the hotel paid for our return to the airport- The rooms were fine, setting was residential, relatively quiet. Our thanks to the Morning staff but we will not reccommend this hotel to our friends or family.

How to reach Leonardo Hotel Frankfurt-Airport

By car
From the A3: take the Frankfurt/M. Süd exit, then change to the B43. Keep on the right lane, direction Niederrad, and then turn left onto the B43/44 Kennedyallee. Then follow Schwarzwaldstraße and turn left into Waldstraße.
From the A5: take the Frankfurt/M. Niederrad exit and follow the Niederräder Ufer, then Deutschordenstraße, continue on Rennbahnstr. and Schwarzwaldstraße. Then turn right into Waldstraße.

By public transportation
From Frankfurt's main train station: take the tram line 21, direction Stadium to the Rennbahn stop. Follow the course of the tram from which you have alighted, and turn right into the first street, Waldstraße. The La Stalla restaurant is on the corner of this street and the hotel is a 6 to 7-minute walk from the tram stop.
