Hotel Le Méridien Beach Plaza - Monaco

The stay was enjoyable because the location and the facilities are great, but the hotel itself is not worth the price, as it is not of high standard: average sized deluxed rooms, our room was not clean when we arrived, bathrooms are outdated, the food served was average, service was poor at times, staff not overly nice (except a couple of people in the restaurant and the manager). The outdoor pool area was great for kids. I expected a lot more from Le Meridien but you really feel you are staying in a chain of hotels and next time I will try another hotel in that location.

This was my second stay at this hotel. The hotel has a really spectacular setting, with a beautiful pool area overlooking the sea and a private beach. I was attending a conference at the hotel, so it was a business trip. I probably wouldn't elect to pay for a hotel at this level on holiday. The rooms are unremarkable, but clean and comfortable. The food served at the conference, which I am assuming was provided by the hotel restaurants, was excellent. This hotel is quite a long walk from the historic palace area, so if the purpose of your trip is to visit those sites, you may want to look at a closer alternative. This is a luxury spa hotel, with a high level of service and amenities at a price at or above what you would expect. Monte Carlo is generally a pretty expensive place to visit.
