Excellent hotel and a perfect location. Staff were excellent and helpful in every way. Hotel met our expectations. We did not have breakfast as at €29.00 a person we felt it was excessive. Found a perfectly suitable restaurant 4 minutes walk with freshly squeezed orange juice, bacon and eggs, bread and coffee for €8.00 per person. Other meals we had in restaurants around Budapest. So cant comment on the hotel food.

This is a fantastic hotel, the best one we stayed in our travels. It is spacious, the mattress was incredibly comfortable. The spa facitlities were a real bonus after a long day sightseeing. The only drawback is the pricy breakfast, but I would stay here again without any hesitations and recommend it to my friends.

I guess you can't expect any more from a 5 star hotel. It was worth it to stay there for a few nights during my trip around Europe and have a room with all its facilities.

Excellent location - wonderful hotel. Room was clean and spacious. There were always lots of staff available in the lobby and they were extremely helpful. Pool and jacuzzi clean and inviting. Airport minibus transfer service was excellent.

We found the Meridien to be excellent in every way during our stay. In particular we found the concierge to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable in organising tickets for the Opera House, advising on Restaurnts, in general in making suggestions for tours, sightseeing, using thermal spas etc. Only minor criticism was the cost of the excellent breakfast which we felt was somewhat overpriced. We would recommend this hotel without any hesitation. Location is fantastic for restaurants, shopping, transport, sightseeing etc.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff - hotel is very centrally located and makes exploring budapest easy, especially as the central subway terminus is outside the front door!

Arrived late on friday night, staff on that evening were not over helpful when we asked for directions for restaurants/bars. Throughout the stay we didn't have any need to ask reception for anything. The bar staff were friendly and helpful, although the bar closed at 1'0 clock and any drinks after that were charged at room service rates. The rooms were well equipped It was good to see there was a tea station , alot of hotels don't have them forcing you order a coffee through room service. Great location though. would recommend to anyone.

This is a wonderful hotel -- the rooms are quite nice as is the whole facility. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel location is ideal relative to shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing as well as for metro and bus and tram connections. I would stay here again without question.

Nice Hotel. Excellent bed...very confortable mattress. Very surprised by the lack of info in the room about Budapest....and also extremely surprised to see escort info all over the map instead of historic places to visit...

We enjoyed a 7 day stay in Budapest - had a great holiday - hotel was rather takenover during the week by business people who looked incredibly scruffy in the evening - but can't complain as they are keeping the hotel going - Thought that the food was very good - staff very freindly and helpful !!

Great holiday in a great hotel. Another excellent "Le Meridien" hotel. All employed are very gently and can help you in anything, specially the concierge. The rates that I had find via venere.com was great but don't forget that it's even a 5 stars hotel and so anything, any service, in that stucture cost as 5 stars hotel (25 euros for example for a breakfast). All good however.

The service in the restaurant is very good. The food is not first class. The steaks are served on cold plates. The restaurant ist like an shop window - not enaugh privacy.

We stayed in Le Meridien summer 2006 and by making reservations early we managed to get excellent rates for the 5 star room smack in the center of the city. Be warned though: the room may be cheap, but all amenities are still priced according to the five-star-surroundings.

One of the major disagreements that I have with the management is that they charge for internet services which is free at most hotels, etc. It leaves the impression that the hotel is trying to extratc every euro from its guests. In addition, I do believe that the hotel needs to realize that their breakfast is extremely overpriced and lowering the price or making it inclusive with the room would attract more patrons. Many 5 star hotels at which I stay do offer breakfast as a courtesy to the guests.

As a treat the Meridien hotel is well worth it. It has to be one of the best hotels I have stayed in. I loved every minute of it. The only danger is that you will not want to get out of the bed in the morning because it is so comfortable!!

Request a twin room but was given a double. When requested to change, they only had a superior room therefore we had to pay an extra EUR 50 a night. Apart from that, it was very pleasant stay.

We loved the hotel and the location is great - very central and only a couple blocks from the walking area in Pest. We would definitely go back. Staff was great and helped us with tours and directions.

food quality ok. staff never smile, only if you ask them, staff needs more briefing on how to be more out going/friendlier /cordial, food is extremely expensive-breakfast buffet $32.00 per person, cup of coffee $4.00, and so on just for this reason i would never recommend the hotel, total rip off, pool and sauna very nice,

This Hotel is the best hotel I have ever been. The room was absolutely beautiful and the all hotel is more than a valid reason to visit Budapest, it is an amazing classy hotel and you will feel very spoiled...1 only suggestion: if you choose to have a sunbed at the hotel please don't choose the 15 minute session...it is very-very ssssstrrrrooong!!!!

The hotel was luxurious enough, full facilities. However, I was not informed about breakfast time and I missed it, went next door at Kempinski and received great service. They had continuous food service throughout the day, while Meridien was not offering that. Public space was not as nice as the Kempinski. Quality of the food and the staff were good though. However, if I have to go back to Budapest, I will defenitely go to Kempinski instead.

We had an excellent stay. The standard of room, food and attentiveness and efficiency of the staff was outstanding and difficult to fault even if one was being hyper critical. Everyone greeted you with a cheery smile and could not have been more helpful, from finding restaurants to eat in to getting opera tickets. A truly five star hotel, well situated in a the centre of a fascinating and friendly city
