Be sure to have your breakfast early! The breakfast room gets totally filled up around 8.00 so no relaxing breakfast reading the newspaper if you're late.

We, father with 3 kids age 17-23, stayed at the hotel 6 nights. The room was spacious and quiet (window towards the backyard). The location is perfect - close to Penn station, subway and several attractions (Empire state building, Theater district, Times square). The breakfast was better than expected, however the breakfast room was too small regarding the number of guests. In all a very nice experience and we would choose the same hotel next time.

Top floor rooms should be avoided - small and not up to standard. The LaQuinta is an ideal hotel for spending 2 or 3 days in New York, especially if you also like Chinese and Korean food, as there are plenty of resaurants nearby. So near to Penn Station too, and much better quality than bigger hotels nearby.

First time at this hotel. Great service from Tom at reception. Most helpful. Excellent location. Breakfasts good but breakfast area too small. Great to have the open bar on 14th floor and look up at the Empire State lit up at night. Subway access nearby. Close to shopping on 34th Street, and not far from Times Square - great location. Would definitely book in again.

This was our first visit to NYC and planned on doing lots of sightseeing in all areas of the city so wanted a central location with easy transport links. This hotel provide this and more. I cannot express how impressed I was with this hotel. We got a late and good deal on price and had no issue checking in. The staff friendly and helpful and the rooms clean, not massive but certainly adiquate for our need. There is a roof top bar that has fantastic views of the Empire State Building and although got quite busy was a nice area to relax after a hard day sightseeing. The hotel gives easy and good access to all area of the city whether you chose to walk, get the subway or a taxi. A would recommend this to my friends and would go again.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in the heart of downtown with a really fair price. Breakfast was even included and it was very good. For sure I will stay there again. The only negative thing to mention is the very noisy and not very efficient heating system.

For us this hotel met our needs, a value for money ( for New York) hotel with subway station and buses easily accessible. It was also close to Empire State Building. Breakfast facilites were simple,"continental style", but more than ample in quantity.32 St.is "Little Korea" so immediate restauraunts all one type but there were others within walking distance. We would stay there again, particularly if again in upper/rear room away from street level.

The concierge service at the hotel charged a $30 per ticket surcharge to secure tickets to an off Broadway show for us. I learned later you can get these tickets for a 30 to 40% discount buying from ticket booths around town. Then, they delivered obstructed view seats that were $10 less per ticket than what we paid for! The hotel washed their hands of the whole thing and said they don't run the gift shop or the concierge service. I think the hotel should be ashamed of themselves for not taking responsibility for the unethical concierge service operating in their lobby. I can't recommend this hotel to anyone.
