Hotel Kyriad Paris Ouest - La Défense Courbevoie - Paris

The location is terrible, the nearest metro is a walk and a bus trip away and then at least 2 trains to get anywhere. The cost saved is not worth it as you end up paying the diffence on transport. In the morning the whole hotel had no hot water, no apology was given and no gesture received in terms of an apology.

The hotel was very pleasant, as were the staff. The area is a quiet residential district of Paris. The one big problem, however, is that it is not the 15 minutes walk from La Defense metro as claimed - it is at least 30 (as verified by Google Maps or a GPS system). One staff member even tried to insist it was only five minutes walk, despite us having already travelled the route. But the bigger problem seems to be that it is too short a distance for Parisian taxi drivers to be bothered with - ours was extremely upset to be asked to travel such a short distance, despite it earning him 15 euros. A taxi is essential if you have any reasonable amount of luggage, and the hotel really needs to come to an arrangement with a local taxi company to avoid the unpleasant experience we had.

Really nice hotel, clean, friendly staff that spoke english and was very helpfull, happy with our stay there and would definetely use it again next time.

my best experience with a hotel, lovely welcoming by night receptionist who helped us with everything we needed, had a view of eiffel tower, nice helpful staff, newly refurbished and very clean, easy to park in front of the hotel for free. if you get hungry, there s a fantastic chinese restaurant (Chez Hong) with great service just round the corner. only negative thing was the wifi which was not working properly. if i ever go to paris again i will definitely stay in this hotel

Negative factors of our stay: 1. the airconditioning did not work as it should at the end of dec,it was really cold in the room because of the cold air instead of warm 2. you were able to hear the other guests in the room beside to ours,when they were in the bathroom,taking a shower etc. and the doors when the other guests leaved or arrived 3. one man of the staff was really unfriendly and was not pleased to offer to the clients a good service (we felt bad every time we had to speak to him) 4. the day before we left the hotel the lift did not work. We spoke to the staff and we remarked that we leave the next morning and if the lift would be working because of our buggage and because we stayed on the 5th floor. Even though the lift did not work and the answer when we called to the reception asking for it or for an alternative the answer was: it does not work, not as we expected, I am so sorry but it is still not working, or something like this!

i've really loved this hotel...it was a littel bit far from metro and not so easy to find...but people who work there had been really nice with us!!

It is much easier to get to the hotel by different way as on the website. You don't need to walk as much as we did on the arriving day. Anyway, I would like to choose this hotel again next time for it's quiteness and cleaness.

Our visit to the hotel was a romantic break. The hotel was very good for it's price. My Parisian friend had researched how to get there but I think that it would be hard to find the hotel for a tourist and I got lost returning by myself but found that local shops were happy to give directions. The view of the Eiffle Tower from the room was spectacular. The room was small but clean and cosy. I was not happy with the bed which was two twin beds dressed as a double. We complained in the morning and the beds were secured together but it was still uncomfortable to cuddle and sleep. Extra towels in the bathroom would be better for couples. Over all the hotel was clean and nicely decorated. But if i was to visit again I would only stay there if I was garanteed a double bed.

LOVED this hotel!!! Took my wife, daughter and daughter's best friend for their high school graduation to Paris. The hotel is easy to get to by bus, but when we initially got in the area we got lost, and one of the staff members came and picked us up from a near by gas station. Walking down the adjacent street there are plenty of nice little shops, a bakery, tailor, sandwich shop and a drug store. Take the bus and you see all of LA Defense and the staff is very helpful, they gave us directions to LA Quatre with no problem. Best of all my daughter and her friend had a view of the Eiffel tower from their room!

Distance to the subway station is a bit long. Be sure to use the the busses.

We found the rooms in this place TINY! The hotel in general was very small. It was further away from everything than we thought too. The man on night duties was lovely though!! The only reason I wouldnt return to it would be because I would like to be closer to the centre next time... none of this having to get taxis, buses and undergrounds to reach places!!

Perfect price/quality hotel just outside the center of Paris. "Kidnapped" my girlfriend for a romantic weekend, celebrating her 22nd birthday.

I booked a room with doublebath and I received a room with double shower.It was cold in the room and I received a blanket only in the second night.The staff ist helpful ,but only one speaks english.The room ist small,but very clean.The distance to metro ist 15 min.by foot.The overall stay was good and we`ll return here.

It's a very nice stay in this hotel with my family from Shanghai. The room is very clean with well designed facilities. From one of the room can see the view of Afriel Tower. The staffs are very helping. The breakfast is not included in the price, but it's worth the price to eat here. The location is not very easy for car drivers, since it's on a hill which can only be accessed by following certain paths. You need a good navigation system to find it. Also parking costs some extra money, which maybe typical for big city like Paris. Overall it's a very nice place for our visit.

THE HOTEL IS VERY GOOD, THE ROOMS ARE VERY SMALL

We got a double room,but the bathroom had just one towel,the room was too small,and surronding was too busy!the only good point was air conditioner,totally it was too expensive camparison with the quality!

Rooms were well insulated from external noise but not internally. Generally helpfull staff and good value for money.Will use Kyriad again. Car park convenient but long walk to metro. Map of route would help.

This was a great value! Clean, warm, and safe for $54 a night! While it was very quiet while we were there, bring earplugs just in case. The walls are thin. Also, make sure you're covered for at least metro AND bus travel from here. A travel pass is available that will cover you for RER, metro, and bus. You're in the business district, so allow some travel time, but with a pass, you can access every nook and cranny in no time. This place is recommended very highly! We'll go back next time we're in Paris.

Hotel is little but with good bedrooms. Public Areas are good. Place is a little bit difficult to find. Not in the downtown but just 15min away from the underground. Price is good if you compare it with other areas in Paris.

Really a nice place to stay: the breakfast isde-li-cious, the cleanliness and spaciousness of rooms excellent. The relationship between price/quality is excellent too.

i have staryed only for one night in this hotel. The bad experience of loosing 1hour to find the hotel has been overcome by the very pleasant room which was waiting for us there. As we arrived late in the evening and left early mornign, I did not have time to see the surroundings, I just knew that the river is close and the Arc was also not far. What i will keep in my memory from Kyriad hotel is the amazing view from the window facing the Eifel tower!!!

We only stayed for one night but would gladly have stayed longer. The hotel is small but the rooms are large enough and spotlessly clean. My sons particularly liked the flat screen tv on the wall and watching music videos. I booked a cheap hotel as we were only staying for 1 night so we were pleasantly suprised when we were shown the rooms. It is a little out of town but the metro will get you to all the main attractions within 10 mins. The only downside is the walk from the station to the hotel, about 15 minutes. The breakfast was fine, typical continental breakfast. Overall I would highly recommend the hotel. We will be in Paris again in a few weeks but unfortunatley the hotel is fully booked so I'm hoping to find somewhere else to compare for the same price.

This hotel was hard to find, and when we called the hotel to get directions (we were already in La Defense, just driving around), the night guard who answered just told us "it's in La Defense" and hung up!!! He was very rude and offered no assistance, but the people working during the day were a little nicer. I had a very hard time getting an extra pillow that I requested, but eventually the man at the front desk just went into a room that wasn't being used and gave me one of their pillows. The hotel is really pretty and clean, but it takes quite a long time to get there, and buses stop running at midnight. That said, taxis were pretty reasonable (16 euros from St.Michel to the hotel). I would stay again!
