Hotel Kyriad - Menton

Wir wohnten Anfang September drei Tage im "Kyriad"-Hotel, das vier Gehminuten vom Busbahnhof, sechs vom Bahnhof und und acht Gehminuten vom Strand an der vom Casino nach Norden führenden, mit einer Pépiniaire aufgelockert und heiter bepflanzten Hauptstraße liegt. Unser ausreichend großes Zimmer lag zum morgens sonnigen Hof und war absolut ruhig. Für unser Auto haben wir immer einen Parkplatz auf der an sich engen hoteleigenen Parkfläche gegenüber gefunden. Wir genossen den unauffälligen, gleichwohl perfekten und freundlichen Service. Das Frühstück stellten wir uns am üppigen Buffett zusammen und nahmen es im familär wirkenden Innenhof ein. Abends aßen wir ausgezeichnet im Restaurant "La Coupole". Die Sonnenterrasse des Hotels haben wir nur zum Abschied besucht, da wir viel unterwegs waren und uns natürlich am schönen Badestrand von Menton aufhielten. Man kann hier wunderbar in der aufgehenden Sonne an der Promende entlang joggen. Wir werden uns immer an diese schönen Tage erinnern.

We were completely satisfied. The friendly service and excellent facilities have convinced us once again after 3 years. The breakfast buffet should not be missed. For us, the free parking areas were very helpful. Thank you again.

We had such a wonderful time at this hotel. It is right on the square in a perfect location in the old town. The staff was fantastic. Well imformed and very helpful and friendly.

The "demi-pension" service mentioned on the web page does not exist any longer since 2 years... But the location of the hotel and the (free) garage near by allow to walk easily to city centre...

Excellent,quiet budget accomodation

Camera sporca e pelosa(qualche capello tra le lenzuola.Assenza di parcheggio auto,come invece era indicato sulla prenotazione.

Free parking - it's a joke. If you speak France it's maybe okay, but for all others find another hotel.

Abbiamo soggiornato in quest'hotel una notte. 85euro ci è sembrata una tariffa un po' alta per i servizi offerti. Per il resto, camera pulita, silenziosa. Hotel facilmente raggiungibile. Il garage è uno spazio scoperto, recintato.

This is a charming hotel, at a "long" walking distance from Menton downtown. The room was very clean, however I need to underline 3 weaknesses: 1- The walls' colours are not attractive at all with strange very bright colours and contrasted transitions, 2- the breakfast really doesn't worth the price (8€), 3- TVs are very old fashion small and hidden behind the desk chairs. But for one or two nights the Hotel is way sufficient.

The personal in the hotel does everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. However it should be mentioned on the site that the hotelrestaurant is closed, and only breakfast is offered. The breakfast is (for France) excellent. The room we had was very small but OK; the airconditioning works very good but no minibar. In the evening there is nothing to do in the hotel, so your eveningwalk is asured if you like to take a drink before going to bed.

Abbiamo pernottatto solo una notte perciò non possiamo dare delle indicazioni molto dettagliate ma per quel poco che siamo rimasti tutto è andato bene. Camera piccola ma confortevole e pulita.

Hotel molto pulito, con aria condizionata regolabile da ogni stanza, a 10 minuti dal centro storico raggiungibile tranquillamente a piedi, personale molto cortese. Unico neo il parcheggio, quello dell'hotel è molto piccolo ma sulla strada è sempre gratuito, conviene trovarlo lì e spostarsi a piedi. Colazione abbondante e ottima (8 euro) con la possibilità di mangiare anche nel giardino esterno.

It's the first time that i travel on Menton on Kyriad, and all it's ok.

The only very problem is to park. The parking area of the hotel is very small, and bynight parking on the street is uneasy as a lot of cars fils all the public spaces. Anyway the hotel is nice and the employers very handly.

Bathrooms need modernising but everything worked. Nice staff. Difficult parking despite hotel having a small car park

Se menton viene usata come località di transito l'albergo va bene, vicino alla stazione ed agli svincoli autostradali, se invece si intende soggiornare a menton si può trovare di meglio.

Menton is a nice play to stay and this hotel is almost good about relationship between price/quality.

Accogliente, pulito, ottima colazione... Se non si ha la pretesa di essere direttamente sul mare (la passeggiata comunque non è male), merita decisamente!!

Hotel medio piccolo,pulito,ottima relazione qualita' prezzo,colazione ottima,stanze un po' piccole ma si sta comunque comodi.Non vicinissimo alla spiaggia,si raggiunge a piedi in 15-20 minuti. Diversi servizi vicino all'hotel:ristoranti,supermercato, noleggio auto. Ci siamo trovati benissimo ! Consigliabile a tutti comprese famiglie,noi siamo andati con un bimbo di 6 anni e ci siamo trovati benissimo.

Everything was fine at the hotel. We stay for one night Myself, my wife and four children. We split into 2 rooms. The hotel is nice and the breakfast is good. Reasonable price. I have to mention that the man at the reception said that they had not received the fax from Venere. Luckily, there were rooms available and I called in advance to make sure. They also gave me the same prica as Venere. This is unusual from Venere who I used a lot and this never happened.

The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming at all times and could not do enough to make our stay at the Kyriad hotel an enjoyable occasion. The breakfast was plentiful with a good choice of various types of food. The walk into town was pleasant passing several good shops and restaurants. An excellent location to spend a few days.

Parking d'une dizaine de place largement insuffisant pour le nombre de chambres de l'hôtel obligeant les clients à se garer dans la rue

The room we were allocated rates as the second worst room we have ever stayed in. (second only to a dodgy apartment in Rhodes 15 years ago) The room was tiny and very hot. The air conditioning was useless. We tried to open the windows to ventilate the room, however we were situated on the main road and when the windows were open it was extremely noisy. therefore between the heat and the noise we had very little sleep during our stay. Bear in mind it was only May - i dread to think what it would be like in the summer. Also - Menton fairly quiet and everywhere seems to close at about 10.00 - 10.30pm.

Breakfast is really very good, service excellent, the rooms are very small but very quiet and the location a bit far from the center. But it was ok and price/quality ok.

The room was tiny. It was very noisy early in the morning from the cleaner vacuuming the corridor.The whole hotel smelt strongly of a very unpleasant air freshener.There was a building site nearby which was very noisy during the day. When I informed the manager that we were departing earlier than planned, he got very angry and shouted at me. He also made us pay for the night after we left even though we had given a day's notice.

Good price, good service, the room is not perfect but I think rapport quality and price is excellent for 1 or 2 night!!

The hotel was very clean and reasonably priced for the position,The breakfasts were very good and the evening meals o/k. For older people it was a bit of a walk in the very hot weather to get to the centre or sea side. For people with young children it would not be very good as the manager does not like any noise at all from the guests. But taking everything into consideration I thought it was good value and would go again.

L'hotel è stato scelto nonostante fosse distante dal centro solo perchè segnalava (unico a Mentone)la possibilità di parcheggio. In realtà il parcheggio è di 10 posti per 40 stanze. All'arrivo l'impiegata ha dichiarato con grande scortesia che era completo e che "parking free" si riferiva alla strada !! (in realtà c'erano posti vuoti, ma ci siamo poi resi conti che il parcheggio di fatto era riservato dal personale alla clientela francese). Trovare parcheggio è stata un'impresa e abbiamo dovuto portare i bagagli per 1 km. E il problema del parcheggio ha perseguitato tutto il soggiorno. La stanza era minuscola (per aprire l'armadio o per andare a letto occorreva spostare le sedie), diversamente da altre stanze. L'apertura della finestra comportava un'invasione di formiche. Il personale in genere fa finta di non capire l'italiano (a 10 minuti dal confine) o comunque non parla altra lingua diversa dal francese; in ogni caso poco importa, perchè generalmente non risponde neanche al saluto. Sorprendente che quest'albergo sia stato selezionato da venere.com. Da dimenticare.

Nice hotel, 10 minute walk to downtown and beach. Hotel let me park my car on the street right next to the front door of the hotel. No charge for parking.

What a wonderful job this family done to keep this hotel so welcoming. Clean....that is a major factor....I have been in really nice hotels and let me tell you these people pride themselves.....

Pls remember everybody that the petite dejeuner is not included in the fare, and it's 7 Euro each. There's a restaurant quite near the Hotel, called La Coupole, that's worth a visit.

Probably more suited to business client as there is not much to do in the surrounding area. About a 20 minute walk to central area of town.

Tha quality vs price is very good, great welcomeing from the owner (a lady) who is very kind and nice. The only thing is that while booking you do not inform the client that breakfast is not included, this should be clearer with indication of the price. E 7 per person per day can make a difference with another available hotel

Hotel carino, parlano solo in francese......la distanza dal mare è di 800 mt....(misurati)

Very friendly staff. Possibly a little further back from the sea-front than ideal.

The bathroom was unacceptable and the personnel didnot speak english.
