Inter-Hotel Ikar - Saint-Gervais-la-Forêt, Blois

Room clean and comfortable. We have stayed in Kyriad Hotels before but we chose this one particularly as it advertised a restaurant open on a Sunday evening. We were therefore very disappointed, having driven all day, to be told that the restaurant was closed and the receptionist said there was nothing near the hotel. We then had to drive back into Blois in the evening to get something to eat. We were given two different log-ins for wifi but neither worked.

The room was ok and there was free parking available; good position at 5 minutes by car from city center;

We stayed 3 nights and found that this an excellent 2 stars hotel. Rooms are not too big but there is enough space for 2 people. The restaurant is very good considering the price and the fact that beside the main course it includes buffet of starters ( entrées) and buffet of desserts. The waiter Leo was very nice and competent.

The desk clerk, who I believe is the manager, was extremely rude. We waited at the desk while she was on a long personal call. We were not told that the gate to the grounds and the hotel were locked at 11 pm. We arrived at the hotel at midnight one night. We got into the parking area because another customer told us the code. The other patron called the number he had and the the same desk clerk came stomping down the stairs (there is no elevator), gave us a dirty look and unlocked the desk area to give us the key. Her repeated unfriendly attitude made the experience very negative for us.

No problem finding the hotel, secure parking. Easy access to downtown but a car is recommended Cheap parking underground in downtown. Room needed some minor maintenance. Nothing to do in the direct vicinity.

Stayed in double room which was very nice. Easy road access. The town cetre is about 5 minutes by car. Good breakfast

Nice hotel,convenient free wifi,good breakfast even if not included,spacious rooms!!!!! nothing to eat close to the hotel,had to go to TOurs.

Try another hotel if no private transportation means available

I found the directions to the Hotel rather vague but the hotel was very nice and the lady at reception was very friendly. When registering I had origianlly wanted a room for 4 people but it was not offered (I believe) so we registerd two rooms. When we arrived we had two rooms but one room had 2 queen sixed beds that would have fit our family quite nicely so I was confused why we didn't just all sleep in the one room. Perhaps it would have been cheaper? I was satisfied with the people, accomodation and location. This place is not, in my opinion, for backpackers and families looking for inexpensive accomodations.

Close enough to a large shopping centre but distant from bars and restaurants. Possess a very good restaurant for very low proces: great buffet at dinner and breakfast. do not know about noon. Very close to the bike track for the castles in the area. Common area are limited and rooms are smalls, but acceptable for the price.

Competent staff that spoke English fairly well. The food in the hotel restaurant was fair, and we ate there several times because there was nothing else near by.

Si le petit-déjeuner était compris dans le prix, le rapport qualité-prix serait excellent. Mais 6.90€/pers pour un petit déj à rajouter à la note, c'est un peu excessif! Dommage!
