The NH Machiavelli enjoys a totally privileged, strategic position in Milan, in the Porta Venezia area, only a couple of minutes away from the main railway station and from the financial hub and city shopping centre.
Therefore, the Machiavelli provides an excellent base for those wishing to savour the abounding tourism opportunities offered by the Lombard capital such as the Duomo, the Alla Scala theatre, the Brera Gallery, as well as prestigious shops and the exuberant vitality, that only a metropolis like Milan can offer.
The property is a hotel of novel conception. A modern functional structure in which every space fulfills the highest expectations of comfort and elegance, from the welcoming lobby up to the Caffè Niccolò restaurant served by an independent entrance, which in the summer season may host guests on a terrace overlooking the internal, Japanese-style garden.
Furthermore, for all your business needs, the hotel features comprehensive meeting and conference facilities.

This is a hotel designed for business traveler. The location is quite good (500m from railway station and 2 minute walk to the metro). I have stated there before and I would probably stay there again. One of the negatives about the location is that there are few good restaurants in the neighbourhood and the hotel restaurant has a limited menu. Therefore it is best to eat downtown before returning to the hotel.

nella prenotazione è chiaramente indicato che l'hotel mette a disposizione il posteggio, cosa che si è dimostrata non veritiera. vi sono solo tre posti auto a disposizione dei clienti e il parcheggio vicino è a pagamento (20 euro\die)

My stay at the Hotel Jolly Machiavelli has been really good! The hotel is clean and the rooms are very nice with every comfort! The hotel is not far from the station and from the center by walking or by tube! The breakfast is perfect for every flavour!

Great value for the price. Great breakfast-buffet but poor service and non pleasant staff. Car park recommended because the surroundings are not secured at night.

We have used this hotel on several occasions. Nice rooms but can be noisy if above the taxi rank. Easy walking distance to underground station, Central Station and shops on Corso Buenos Aires. We also walked to Duomo Some excellent restaurants and quiet bars in the neibourhood also.

The room was very spacious and the rate was very reasonable. The location map should be improved to give more clear indication for access from railway station. Suggested to take taxi approx. Euro 6.5 from station to hotel. Extra 10% added to the bill upon settlement of payment was unexpected and not memtioned on the booking system.

My daughter and I arrived late in the evening. The restaurant chef eagerly prepared a vegetarian soup which was outstanding. Guests in the next room were watching television. We could hear every word loudly. Arrangements were made for 3:30 wake up call for us to take a private van to Milpensa Airport. Hotel staff made arrangements and told us that we could charge the fee. Once we arrived at the airport, the driver refused our credit card, accepting cash only. We had almost no Euros left. My daughter went in search of a cash machine. Not good. The hotel's contemporary decor was impressive. The room had 1 extra pillow and 1 blanket. Plenty of towels in the lavatory.

Hotel was great! We were there in the offseason on a Sunday night, and they upgraded us to a corner suite with a jacuzzi tub. Location is close enough to walk to both the train station and the downtown shopping/Duomo area. If you are there on a Sunday, everything around the hotel is closed, but the restaurant in the hotel was good and not too expensive. Definitely recommended.

This is a great hotel value for Milano. It is a 15-minute walk from the Duomo. It is located within 5 minutes of two subway lines. The neighborhood is safe, with a number of excellent restaurants. The hotel is more a business-oriented hotel than a tourist-oriented hotel. It is modern, with services, and subsequent benefits, oriented to the businessman. I prefer this to a tourist hotel. I found it to be most comfortable, and would stay there again.

A very good 4* hotel. The breakfast was excellent. The location was extremely good: about 6 blocks from the train station and Metro station. It was right on a tram line (that takes you right into the center of town in 10-15 minutes); we particularly enjoyed using this as it was very clean, fun and gave us a sense of mixing with the locals. Taxis were available outside the lobby all the time and there was a computer for client use in the lobby at a minimal fee.

Although within walking distance from the train station, it is farther than 300 meters that was stated at its website (more like 600 meters). The room was clean overall, but the headboard looked a little dirty. The only thing that I could not figure out is why the hotel does not provide shower curtain in the bathroom. There is only a 25-inch glass separating the bath tub and sink basin, so you have to constantly watch and adjust shower head when taking a shower in order to avoid flooding. The Breakfast was excellent, a greater variety compared to other places of similar quality. It’s a 5-10 minute walk from the Metro station (Republica), 3 stops from the center of everything, so transportation is quiet convenient. There are two Chinese restaurants and a Tai restaurant across from the hotel if you’re a big fan of hotel dinning. One night, we asked the front desk if there are any authentic Italian restaurants nearby, they recommended a Mediterranean seafood restaurant, which is only a 5-minute walk. It turned out to be one of the best dining experiences that we had on this trip, fresh and delicious food, beautiful environment, and great service, although the price was a little high. The only disappointment was that there is really not much to see in Milan.

This hotel was terrific. I highly recommend it if you need a place to stay in Milan. It was a good value. The rooms and public areas were lovely- very clean, stylish and comfortable. The bathrooms were wonderful- everyone in our group commented on the terrific showers! The breakfast buffet included with the room was extensive and quite good. We had dinner in the restaurant one night- the food was great but the service was a bit frustrating- seemed they were short staffed due to a large party. The only correction to the advertisement is the distance from the train station- it wasn't very far but certainly more than the 300 meters advertised- unless you were flying! The staff at the desk was friendly and generally helpful. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in Milan!

Germany, Aug 2006
Actually the hotel is good, but the area you have to walk through to get to the Metro is quite strange. I was expecting more a nice built area and not to have the hotel in an area, where a lot of foreigner live. Especially at night time I had strange feelings walking with my wife through that area. Nobody was actually bugging us, but we decided to take a taxi the second night from the center to the hotel.

No problem regarding cleanliness and quietness of the room. The quality of the breakfast provided at the Hotel is rather disappointed. A week ago,we stayed at Hotel Cavour,Milan where we were provided excellent breakfast, even though the room condition is not so nice. The hotel should make efforts to improve the quality of Breakfast, then the rating must be much higher.

The Hotel Jolly Machiavelli provided a very pleasant stay for a married couple traveling for the first time with their 2 1/2 month old child. I think that it is highly unlikely that one will find a hotel of such high quality in Milan for only 65 euro per night. The facility itself is clean, modern and well maintained. The location is just north of the "Public Garden" and only a 15-20 min. walk from the train station. The breakfast buffet offers a good variety for those with a sweet tooth and others who prefer their salty snacks. The staff was very helpful, friendly and calm. They brought a playpen to our room for the baby and even let my wife use a small conference room to make a last minute pitstop for breastfeeding in our mad dash to catch our train!! A nice surprise from a hotel that seems more geared toward a business clients.

The Hotel was very posh a proper 4 star hotel. The decor was really lovely. The double rooms were just average size but the supurior rooms were good We were upgraded to a superior room at no extra cost as instead of a twin room we'd been given a double room. We received no help with our luggage even though we had to change rooms three times as there was a problem with the room which we felt was below par as we had just come from star hotels splendido where we had had very good and pleasant portering service. The first receptionist was brilliant but the others were just mediocre. Breakfast was good. The hotel is much nicer than your website pictures. It is not as near to central station as we expected but it is in a quieter area with a few resturants around it the Shangri-lai Chinese /Thai just opposite is a good and reasonable one You can publish this online but use "Maria London" and not my surname

The hotel location is very good. It's within a walkable distance from the train station, but not in its immediate surrounding, which is a good thing as Milan central train station is a bit of a seedy place. It is five minutes walk away from a big shopping street Corso Buenos Aires, and only two subway stops away from the Montenapoleone area, where the Duomo and the main shopping area is. The room is very nice, and the breakfast array is excellent. But the map in the internet showing the hotel location is totally misleading. The hotel is not located on the main road as the map suggests, but rather at a small road that branches off from it. Difficult to find if you do not know exactly where to go.

60 euro per single per night in this hotel is a real bargain! The most annoying thing were poor light switchers in the room, but this of course is nothing compared to the overall quality of the hotel. I recommend it to everyone visiting Milano.

The best value for money I EVER got (it was a special mid August price!) Having paid 70e for a room that usually goes for around 300e I cannot complain! Didn't like the area though... can attract "strange" kind of people esp. at night. (it was ok in august but then again all Milan was quiet and quite empty!)

We were a couple travelling through Italy and we stayed in Jolly Machiavelli after staying in various Hotels in Rome and Venice. By far, this was the best hotel we stayed in our whole trip. The rooms and the service along with the close proximity to the train stations give a great value for money. We will definitely stay here the next time as well.

Fair and valuable hotel. All employees are cheerful and kind except the man who stands in front of the reception desk. But the "checkout conditions"(which means the guest did the checkout already or not.) doesn't seem to reach from the reception to the housekeeper, so both 2 days, over 9:00, my room's door was knocked and opened. That was unpleasant.
