ホテル正面 Built in the 1860's, the Royal Ettrick hotel was originally the grand town house of a rich Edinburgh barrister. The house was converted into a hotel in the 1940's, extended and now boasting a conservatory and private car park.

This traditional hotel offers quality accommodation, value for money and a very warm welcome. With 19 bedrooms, conservatory restaurant (where there is free Wi-Fi Internet access), beer garden, and lounge bar, it strives to offer a home away from home atmosphere.

The main hotel has 12 bedrooms, 9 of which are located on the top floor via a winding staircase. Some rooms have sloping ceilings and skylights. The hotel does not have a lift.

ダブルルーム The first floor features three executive bedrooms, which are spacious and bright. The 5 annex bedrooms some with no windows or skylights have recently been refurbished with light wood finishings and floorings. Some of these rooms have facilities for disabled guests.

From City Bypass: exit at the Lothianburn Junction from the A702. Continue straight into town until you reach Leven Street. Turn left into Gilmore Place and continue onto Polwarth Gardens. The hotel is on the left.

By train
From Waverley Train Station: walk along Princes Street and turn left up Lothian Road. Continue onto Earl Grey Street, and Home Street. Turn right into Gilmore Place and continue onto Polwarth Gardens. The hotel is on the left.

By airplane
There is a bus from the airport which goes to Shandwick Place. Turn left and walk to Lothian Road. Catch LRT bus number 10 to Polwarth Gardens. The hotel is on the left.
