From the N3 National Road, pass the Pavillion Shopping Centre and follow the indications to Durban City/Stad, at the traffic lights of Commercial Road. Go straight passing 4 sets of traffic lights and turn right into Soldiers Way. Pass other two sets of traffic lights and turn left into Ulundi Place. The Royal Hotel is on the right hand side.

By airplane
From Durban International Airport, follow the indications to N2 and turn right following the N2 North Coast and merge onto the M4 Durban City/Stad. Exit at Esplanade and turn left.
