The Pung-Waan Resort in Kanchanaburi is a delightful resort for a memorable River Kwai Experience.
Set amongst beautiful mountains and riverine of Western Thailand, Pung-Waan Resort is a fantastic retreat on the bank of the Kwai Noi River, on a vast property covering over 120 acres of land.
The resort is located only 190 kilometers from Bangkok and 55 kilometres from downtown Kanchanaburi, which can be easily accessed by private cars, buses or train.

The Pung-Waan Resort offers a variety of room types in multiple natural settings, designed to bring you close to nature as possible.
All rooms are styled with modern Thai decor and are equipped with ensuite bathrooms with hot & cold shower, air-conditioning, minibar, satellite TV and telephone.
The Standard Rooms have a garden view, with private balconies opening towards a lotus pond, and all are on the ground level. The Superior Rooms have a river view of the Kwai Noi River. The Deluxe Cottages have mountain and river views. The cottages are made with native wood and equipped with private balconies opening towards gardens and the Kwai Noi River. The Floating Houses are situated on the Kwai Noi River and accommodate up to 6 persons. All have private balconies opening to the river, and are equipped with an ensuite bathrooms, air-conditioning and all the comforts of home.

Pung-Waan Resort is well known for its top-qualitiy Thai & International cuisines at very affordable prices. The Rabieng Restaurant is the main restaurant serving Thai & International breakfast, lunch & dinner in open atmosphere. The dining tables are set on the cascades of wooden balconies, allowing you to dine under the stars with the cool breezes from the river. It is open between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m.
The Chun-Pa Pool-Side Bar is an idyllic relaxation spot where you can enjoy cool drinks & snacks by the pool side with panoramic mountain views as your background.
The Lobby Bar is an informal rendezvous place for a get-together with friends or just for relaxing by yourself while sipping delicious drinks before or after dinner. You can also regularly enjoy live music acts.

Come raggiungere Pung-Waan Resort
By car
Air-conditioned vans are available from Lad Ya Van Station at Sanam Luang (Statue of Goddess of Earth)- to the town bus terminal at Kanchanaburi. They depart Bangkok everyday at 04.00-20.00 hours.
By train
You can take the regular train from Thonburi Railway Station or the air-conditioned train from Hua Lampong Railway Station and get off the train at Nam Tok Railway Station. The Pung-Waan Resort provides a free pick-up service from there.
By public transportation
From the new southern bus terminal (at Taling Chan) you can take a bus Kanchanaburi Town terminal.
From the new Mo-chit bus terminal (Chatuchak) you can take a bus Kanchanaburi Town terminal.
