esterno Vignamaggio is one of the oldest wine estates situated in the heart of the Chianti Classico between Siena and Florence. Inside the renaissance villa, where the famous Monna Lisa painted by Leonardo used to live, we have suites and rooms; the farmhouses close to the main villa have been renewed according to the typical Tuscan style. Vignamaggio is also the location of the famous movie, taken from the Shakespeare’s tale “Much Ado About Nothing”. In the main hall of the villa we have a meeting room for meetings and incentives. All accommodation are equipped with air conditioning and independent heating. Tennis ground, two swimming pools, children playground, gym and Wellness centre (treatments of “wine therapy”)and Jacuzzi pool are available. Horse back riding. Golf is in the neighbourhood. The restaurant with typical Tuscan cooking is open during the week only for the guests. Short cooking classes with our chef Cristina.
Wine, vinsanto, grappa and olive oil produced at the estate are sold at the wine shop. Guided tours of the cellars and of the famous “Italian garden” followed by a wine tasting are organised upon reservation.

Come raggiungere Agriturismo Villa Vignamaggio

By car
To reach Vignamaggio from the A1 ( main highway) there are three possible exits:
Firenze Sud: Is the suggested one for the easy indications ( Greve is indicated since you exit from the A1) and also for the panoramic road.
Firenze Certosa: Arriving from Milan-Bologna is the first one that you find. In case of queue on the highway is the best solution ( Greve is indicated also from the Certosa exit)
Incisa Val d’arno: Arriving from Roma is the closest one but not the easiest (the road is winding and Greve is not well indicated). Suggested just in case of queue on the hightway.

FROM ROME: take the highway A1 and exit at FIRENZE SUD. From here follow the signs for Greve in Chianti and theSS 222 passing through GRASSINA.
When you are in Greve go ahead , exit from Greve, take the road on the left in direction LAMOLE. Continue on this road for about 4 Km. and finally you see Vignamaggio (pink villa) on the right. Follow direction to the reception till you will find the wooden sign VIGNAMAGGIO CENOBIO. Here is the reception.
FROM FLORENCE AIRPORT: Take the A-1 towards ROME and exit in FIRENZE- SUD O FIRENZE CERTOSA for the 2nd one: Follow the sign TAVARNUZZE (don’t take the Superstrada to Siena!!), you will cross TAVARNUZZE, then follow direction to GREVE.
When you are in Greve go ahead , exit from Greve, take the road on the left in direction LAMOLE. Continue on this road for about 4 Km and finally you see Vignamaggio (pink villa) on the right. Follow direction to the reception till you will find the wooden sign VIGNAMAGGIO CENOBIO. Here is the reception.
FROM PISA AIRPORT: Take the “SGC Fi-Pi-Li” in direction Firenze and exit at FIRENZE SIGNA. Take the A-1 towards ROME and exit at FIRENZE-CERTOSA or FIRENZE SUD.
For the 1st one: Follow the sign TAVARNUZZE (don’t take the Superstrada to Siena!!), then follow directions to GREVE.
When you are in Greve drive ahead , exit from Greve, take the road on the left in direction LAMOLE. Continue on this road for about 4 Km and finally you see Vignamaggio (pink villa) on the right. Follow direction to the reception till you will find the wooden sign VIGNAMAGGIO CENOBIO. Here is the reception.
FROM MILAN: Take the A-1 direction ROME and exit at FIRENZE-CERTOSA. Follow the sign TAVARNUZZE, you will cross TAVARNUZZE (don’t take the Superstrada to Siena!!), then follow directions to GREVE.
When you are in Greve drive ahead , exit from the village, take the road on the left in direction LAMOLE. FROM FLORENCE CENTER: Leave the town center following direction SIENA and A-1 ENTRANCE IN FIRENZE -CERTOSA (you will pass through Galluzzo , the suburb of Florence. When you arrive at the entrance of FIRENZE-CERTOSA, follow direction to TAVARNUZZE (don’t take the Superstrada to Siena!!). Pass trough this village and then follow sign to GREVE.
When you are in Greve go ahead , exit from Greve, take the road on the left in direction LAMOLE. Continue on this road for about 4 Km and finally you see Vignamaggio (pink villa) on the right. Follow direction to the reception till you will find the wooden sign VIGNAMAGGIO CENOBIO. Here is the reception.
