INTER-HOTEL Grand Hotel de Nantes - Nantes

I must say the hotel is nicely situated for the city. I though found my bed quite hard, but my friend did not. so matter of opinion. overall for the price I don't think you can go far wrong. However one grumble was that we did book a triple room and when we got there we were offered a double and single even though the photos clearly indicate 3 singles, so if you want this option make sure you email them and don't leave to chance.

A very nice hotel, well located, with good staff. In summer our room facing the street was very noisy with the windows open (no air conditioning). The bathroom was small and difficult to use. I would recommend this hotel, but not in summer and not for people with reduced mobility.

Very friendly staff and keen to please. Our room was right beside the lift so rather noisey at times. Otherwise a very plesant stay.

Clean room but got little or no sleep as my room was at the front and the noise from outside was very disturbing. Helpful and friendly staff.

The hotel is in the center and it is not easy to reach it by car. It is written that there is a private parking but this is not the case and a secure park is not near.

Room was too hot. The noise levels outside were insane. Not a place id recommend.

The Grand Hotel was in need of upgrading in terms of furniture in the room. The room was secure and was cleaned well each day but the items in the room looked worn out and a bit shabby. The university residence was nearby so the neighbourhood never seemed to quiet down. We had difficulty finding the hotel with the one way streets in the vicinity of the hotel. Navigating on foot is preferable to using a car. It was very confusing going out of town by car. Parking was costly and difficult to find. Breakfasts were good value for the amount charged with fruit, pastries, coffee or tea, cheese. The Musee des Beaux Arts was worth a visit as was the seaside town of Pornic.

Hi, the hotel was absolutely fine and the staff lovely. However not enough tourist information was in English and the staff spoke little English. With a new Ryanair service flying from Bournemouth England several times a week I think your English tourist numbers will increase so better communication is required. I would certainly stay at the Grand Hotel again. Thank you. I was travelling with my 13 year old son and we both fell in love with Nantes - such a beautiful and cosmopolitan City.

Once had sorted out the one way system Nantes is great to get about in (best on foot) Car parks close by do not cater for high vehicles such as Landrover Discovery.Hotel in nice area with bars and restaurants close by.Also close to some seriously grown up designer brand shops for the girls!

The hotel staff were welcoming and very helpful. (Reception is not 24 hour and you need to ask for an access code for the door if you intend coming back late.) The room was comfortable and the decor stylish (although a crack in the window of the door to the ensuite bathroom detracted a little). The shower itself relied on the light coming round the corner from the washbasin vanity unit so was a bit dark and could have done with another light next to it. There was a fitted wardrobe but there were no drawers for clothes in the room at all, so we had to store some of our clothes in our luggage over our 3 day stay. The map provided via the website does not show enough information to locate the hotel unless you know which part of the large city centre it refers to, and a set of directions would be helpful. (Follow signs for 'Parking Commerce' and turn off just before you reach it - even then you need to follow a complicated one-way system. Personally, I would suggest parking at Commerce and walking.) Parking is free overnight on the street but we could not find a space and left the car at 'Commerce' (underground) which costs about 9 euros for 24 hours.

This hotel is great value for money and is situated right in the centre of Nantes. We stayed on a one night stopover on the way to Biarritz. Be aware that while the venere website states that the hotel has covered parking in the immediate vacinity, this relates to a choice of 3 public parking areas which are streets away from the hotel. The hotel is situated on a narrow one way street (pay & display peak hours)and can be tricky to find by car. Even our sat nav had difficlty with the one way system in Nantes. A good continental breakfast (abt. €8.00 each) is served in a small room off the lobby which included fresh fruit, yoghurts, a choice of cereal and a good selection of teas. All in all great value for a central location.

Noisy room because of the lift instead of it. But good hotel in general! Nice People. Free parking during all the night.

Good quality of the rooms, specially for the price. But it is difficult to find the hotel if you come from the outside of Nantes. Breakfast too expensive.

Difficult to find due to major roadworks in Nantes. Excellent breakfast.

Excellent location for short stay. Ideal for shopping trip. Very helpful staff. Quiet rooms despite being in centre. Bring insect repellent if travelling in mosquito season!

Selon les chambres le bruit nocturne est plus ou moins gênant. Côté cour arrière, bruits de vaisselle jusqu'à tard dans la nuit (il s'agit d'un séjour précédent). Côté petite cour plantée d'arbustes (chambre 10) aucun problème. Veilleur de nuit discret et souriant, personnel de jour également. Nous avons apprécié la proximité de la fac de médecine et du centre.

We are really satisfied because everything was exactly the same way we found on the web. The hotel was in the center of the town and, however, it was very easy to park in the surroundings. Great!
