Room was clean with a comfortable bed and a hot shower. Very close to train station and walk to Centre Ville. Free wi-fi, hotel watched our bags for us when we checked out. Hot shower but hand held and no shower curtain so water gets on the floor. A bit on the expensive side but nice hote.

We only stayed for 1 night at the Hotel de France and wish we had stayed for longer! The staff in particular were extremely helpful.Rooms breakfast, and facilities were all exactly as described and faultless for the cost. When I came to settle our bill I offered a tip for the service which I thought was deserved , this was rejected! On leaving the hotel the manager personally took us to the town centre to drop us off saying that most taxi firms would consider the journey too short. If you want a clean comfortable hotel with welcoming staff in Cahors do not bother going anywhere else.

Cahors lacks "top" grade hotels. Having said that we found the hotel to be more than adequate for our needs, ie visiting Cahors and the area. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is garaged and outdoor parking. The buffet breakfast could be a bit more varied, although there is a reasonable choice of cold foods and hot and cold drinks. There is no restriction on the amount. Whilst not centrally located it is within easy walking distance of the centre and near to the railway station. We usually stay at higher grade hotels but would have no hesitation at staying here again, particularly when presented with the final bill. Even the telephone charges are OK.

this was a most pleasant surprise - it was the best value for price during our entire stay in France. We asked for a triple room and got a large double and a small adjoining single. There was plenty of closet space and a well-appointed bathroom (including a working hair dryer). Parking cost only one euro per night. We usually declined breakfasts over 6/6.50 euros as being too expensive but this one at 8 euros was a good buffet that provided a very good range and satisfying start to the day. Close to the train station, it is not in a particulary interesting area except that it is a very short walk to the famous covered bridge and isn't that much further from the interesting old quarter. It would be an excellent base from which to explore the region in day trips e.g. Sarlat, Pech-Merle caves. Staff were extremely helpful in providing tourism advice and recommmendations for restaurants and generously provided brochures and other tourist info on Lot department. Kudos to them for their hospitality, which was more like a small hotel than a fair-sized chain hotel.

It is in a good location near the SNCF station and 300 metres from the Pont Valentre. It is a good hotel to stay in for a couple of nights. The breakfasts could be more interesting and we only had breakfast there once.

Our room was facing the street with trafic, so we had to sleep with the window shut That may cause the problem because the air conditionning is seasonal. In all other aspects everything was fine

Friendly hotel staff. Good parking behind the building. My criticism is about my reservation having asked for a non-smokers room, but the room offered initially at arrival was in the smoking section of the rooms. The receptionist could change the room upon my request, but the room in the non-smoking section of the hotel had been used by a heavy smoker. A room change was impossible because the hotel was fully booked. For a non-smoker this was the worst night of the complete 2 weeks trip.

Inter-Hotel de France delivered us a large quiet room close to the railway station which was what we wanted. It also serves a good-value full breakfast. Staff were very friendly, from giving directions to loaning us a corkscrew. But this is not a hotel you stay at for the ambience. It offers convenience, not style, at a good price in a lovely city. The historical district is a 10-minute walk away.

Low priced hotel near the railway station. We asked for a none smoking room, but it reeked of smoke, room was clean but very basic.A bit out of the way of shops and restraunts Apart from the room smell this was a cheap stay so no complaints really.Free street parking if lucky enough to get one.

Unfortunately we had asked for an apart-hotel and you gave us just a hotel. And Though it advertised as a three star hotel we were put in rooms that were claimed to be two star even though there were no tea coffee facilities or refrigerator.

As the weather was very hot, we were disappointed to find that the hotel was NOT air-conditioned. This meant that we had to open windows to get any relief from the heat, so traffic noise (and noise from trains) disturbed us. Apart from this, we enjoyed our two days in Cahors.
