Nice hotel, great situation right in the centre of Bergerac. Buffet breakfast good and reasonably priced. Would prefer to have tea making facilities in the room but not many French hotels do so can't complain!

Excellent choice for hotel accommodation. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms good,air/con great, very relaxing public areas, breakfast very good and very close to the town. However, the huge plus was the swimming pool and garden - just brilliant after a days sightseeing and shopping.Restaurant L'Imparfait is a must! Brilliant gourmet food at a very reasonable rate for the quality.

Tired, dated and dowdy. Location a little seedy, but close enough to old town which is all Bergerac seemed to offer. Very convenient for Airport (10mins) so served its purpose.

This is an ideal base for a stay in Bergerac. It's only a few minutes from the station and right near the centre of the town, handy for shops, restaurant and the picturesque old town leading to the river. The staff all speak English and are really friendly and welcoming. I understand that they were very helpful to a party of English people who arrived just before I did - their travel plans had changed due to the Icelandic volcano and though the hotel does not have a restaurant caterers were brought in specially as they had not time to find somewhere else to eat. I myself realised I might arrived later than I had told them because of a local train strike and when I emailed them they were reassuring and kind and told me there is a key code for the door which they would give me if I rang them should I arrive after 22:00 It was the only hotel I have ever stayed in in Europe which had English marmalade for breakfast! This to me sums up the kind and helpful attitude which the staff have towards people from my country, and they made me feel very much at home.

We were disappointed that our room was so very small. It was without enough facilities to accommodate our luggage. The pictures led us to believe we were getting a high quality room. We were traveling off-season and did not find parking a problem. But would be very concerned in high season. The staff was very helpful.

We loved this hotel. It was perfect for our requirements- a bit of sightseeing, shopping and french atmosphere. Very close to town and we were given a map and genreral orientation by the receptionist when we checked in. We arrived early and were able to leave our bags until our room was ready. The same applied when we checked out the next day. We didn't have breakfast as we wanted to go to the bakery. The market was right on the doorstep on the Saturday morning which we really appreciated! The pool area is small but great for sunbathing. The drinks were really overpriced but this was the only downside to a really great stay. I would recommend this lovely hotel! Bergerac itself very beautiful.

Our first overseas holiday with a 2yr old, but this hotel was so accommodating. Gardens and pool excellent and service always attentive. Room very good although small and shower in bath only designed for someone below 5' 5". Excellent air conditioning in room and shutters on window ideal for our daughter to sleep in the day. Great location in Bergerac. I will be taking my family to this hotel again.

My partner had never been to Bergerac before and we thought the room and hotel were lovely. Very central, clean and very spacious. It was quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We should have stayed more than one night! The breakfast was excellent and we loved the machine to cook boiled eggs.. they were perfect! Thank you again. We will definitely recommend it to our friends and family.

We stayed in Bergerac for the last night of our holiday. We chose the De Bordeaux as it offered a good central location, with easy access to the airport. The staff were very welcoming, they spoke English very well. The kids loved the chance to cool off in the pool. The car park was easy to find, and had enough space, essential for market days, as the main town car park closes. The self service continental breakfast offered a good variety, plenty of quantity. The only criticsm would be that our room had no air-con, but there was a large fan.

We flew into Bergerac using the city as a base to explore the different regions of the Dordogne. Our stay was comfortable and the location ideal within walking distance of the centre. We were surprised though that a 3*** hotel did not have a restaurant nor a night porter. Had we either caught a later flight, which could well have been delayed, or driven overnight from Paris which was our original idea, it concerned us very much that after 11 o'clock, without a key, any new guest arriving would be unable to have entry into the hotel. Plus, for any late arrivals there were no facilities anywhere, not even in the room, to have anything to eat or to make tea or coffee. Twice during our stay we had to leave at 07.30 foregoing breakfast as it was not served until 07.30. We had hoped to be able to take some croissants/bread with us but nothing was avaiable.

Exellent stay at the bordeaux for a few days. Central location with a pool,to relax shops and market for shopping walk along Dordogne.Need a car to travel unless to the next big town. Unfortunately i asked the taxi driver did he have a meter as i could not see it he got awkward first says he did not inderstand but understood enough to stop the car turned around and shout at me do i want to go to my next destination of course i said that is why i booked the taxi . i said am i paying for the meter while you stop and shout at me he then turned around to return me to the Bordeaux hotel and not take me to my destination. he also told every taxi company in the area what i do not know and i was not able to get a taxi out of town. what he did do was to tell the receptionist he waited 15 minutes for me to get into taxi which was untrue and this was witnessed. so was he being caught out by putting on the meter too early ??? if not what was the problem. the receptionist was very helpful tried all taxi companies then found me a room elsewhere because they were full.
