The nearby villages were wonderful and really added to our experience. The transportation to Venice was readily available at all times and very convenient. The room was spacious. The ad specified a full breakfast, which was only continental, but adequate. Excellent option as the hotels in Venice are quite expensive.

We had the biggest room of the pension/hotel. The slide just in front of our room in the small piece of garden just turned out to be the best thing to have, because our smallest used to play with it while we were arranging things in the room. The kids could run freely outside. The condition of the room and the bath could have been better maintained, but it was ok. The managing lady, who was on her own and responsible for the room cleanliness, the breakfast and the other things was very friendly and helpful. She speaks italian, french and a little bit english. The hotel itself and its surrounding is very quite, which makes a good contrast to the overcrowded venice . The beach that is nearby the hotel is rocky and cannot be used. To reach the sandy beach you have to go by car or by bus about 8 km. All in all we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend this place.

The rooms were very big and clean, and we were downstairs so we could open our room right onto the verandah, which was nice to enjoy the sunshine. The hotel is about 20min by bus from the ferry stop but buses run 24 hours and every 10min between 05.00-23.00 so no problems there. The ferry then takes about 15min to San Marco, we found it was really nice staying in Lido as it was a lot quieter than the main Lagoon and a bit cheaper as well (food & hotels). The only bad things about the hotel is that the rooms are not quiet at all, we were next to reception and could hear the wheels on the desk chair, as well as people talking in the room next door. There is also a church close by which rings its bells on the hour. Overall a good hotel, but probably give it a miss if you are a light sleeper!!

Very easy to travel to Villa Paradiso, although it is a bit of a trek if you have a lot of luggage or are travelling with young children. From P.Le Roma to the front door of Villa Paradiso, you are looking at roughly 1.30 hrs to 1.45 hrs, possibly longer. Having said that transport is very frequent and very easy to understand. On arrival, we were welcomed by the owner, she spoke very limited English (it appeared she had a good grasp of French and Spanish though). The website photos were clearly taken quite a number of years ago and also taken by a professional photographer, possibly even photoshoped! Having said that our room was fairly spacious and clean, with towels changed second day, and the bed made every day (we stayed for 7 nights) Villa Paradiso has 8 rooms, 2 on the ground floor right next to reception, 3 on the 1st floor and 3 on the 2nd floor. We were given a room on the 1st floor...which became rather noisey especially around breakfast, as the buffet breakfast was held right outside our room every morning! Breakfast was simple but adequate (included in the price). When we go travelling (young couple) we spend very little time in the hotel, so for us it wasn't much of a problem, providing it was safe and clean. We probably would not stay there again despite the hospitality and cleanliness, however I would say for the price it was worth the stay, particularly as we went during the Venice Carnival.

This hotel is very far away from the main island and about a 15 minute bus ride from the waterbus. However, it is much less touristy and has a small town feel. We ended up loving it!!!

The rooms are very spacious and clean. The windows and curtains stretch the entire wall, so there is as little or as much light as you want. The view overlooking the canal is also very pretty. In the morning, a buffet of standard European breakfast foods is provided on the fist floor. The hotel/B&B requires little effort to get to; it just takes time, about a 4 minute walk from the bus stop and 25 minutes by boat and bus to/from San Marco Square. It is in a residential location, so it is pretty and quiet. The owner was very welcoming, allowing us to check in at 8:30 am. Because we didn't know Italian, we communicated in French. Our stay was marvelous and we will absolutely go there again if we return to Venice.

The accommodation was simple but very well maintained and clean. Only small hickup was the fact that the room did not have a hair-drier (which we had not packed as previous places we stayed had them and when you fly budget, we left whatever we thought we could get on the other side at home). Also, the staff did not speak English, but was incredibly helpful and it was not a big issue. In fact, it was actually a nice adventure :). We really enjoyed the stay and then place grew on us the longer we stayed there. Good value for money and nice for those who like getting away form the bustle at the end of a day's sight-seeing.

We stayed three days (nights); during days, we were at Venice. The hotel is very good accessable with public transport (ACTV boats and busses). During summer, breakfast is outdoors i suppose; now it was indoors, in a rather small place, but everything was oaky.

Look forward to another stay at Villa Paradiso some time in the future and would warmly recommend this hotel to anyone, especially families. Perfect spot from which to discover Venice and spend time with your children by the sea. Stay a few days and buy a Venice Card then you have unlimited travel on the buses from the hotel to the ferry stop and on the ferries over to and around Venice - excellent way to do sightseeing. As for the hotel itself - it offers good, substantial breakfasts. Fresh and very clean rooms. Quiet location. Walking distance to rocky beach, bus ride to sandy beaches.

It was more of a trip than I expected and knowing what stop to get off on was difficult with the offered description. If you are interested in the beaches this is especially good, and with a pass for transportation it is not a bad choice...a very good value

We took this accomodation as we were looking for clean and spacious room. rooms are big and cleaned every day and breakfast is provided. The only hitch is the distance to venice. you need to take a bus to take a boat to arrive at venice city centre. bus takes 20 min to the port and from there you can take a boat to venice, this takes 20 minutes approximatly.

The hotel was nice. The room was huge with lots of windows, and the room and bathroom were clean. It was about a 10 minute bus ride to the waterbus station on Lido Island, and another 15 minute waterbus ride to Piazza San Marco. Lido has a few nice restaurants and shops around the waterbus station, which was convenient.

This was our first stay in Venice and we have loved every minute! Villa Paradiso is a wonderful little B&B, very very clean and with tasteful, modern and attractive furniture. If you like the modern architecture, this Villa with its large, bright and comfortable rooms, curved walls and aquamarine coloured floors will affashinate you! A very Mediterranean atmosphere in the middle of a pleasant garden! The staff is courteous, pleasant and very, very helpful; and the quiet location in pittoresque Malamocco meant we had a good, undisturbed sleep each night. In addition we were offered a good choice of delicious food for breakfast and found that the excellent public transport system made getting into Venice center and around the other islands in the lagoon easy. We have no hesitation in recommending the hotel Paradiso as excellent value for money.

The Villa is a Bed and Breakfast with continental breakfast, the Lido is fantastic, but Villa P is a 20 min+ bus ride away from the centre of town, we walked into town, but it took nearly 2 hours. Having said that the bus only costs a euro! Staff great, room clean , and everything went well, lots of families but still quiet. We stayed for 10 days 2 adults and 2 teenagers - room big enough that we didnt fall out!

This fantastic accommodation offers a quality alternative to Hotels. The owners have built fantastic new accommodation suites. They were spotless clean, spacious and and best of all very comfortable in a secluded beautiful and quiet residential location, large windows with a tranquil outlook. Hearty breakfast included. A little difficult to find via public transport (bus). About a 6-8 kilometre bus ride after arriving in Lido but worth the effort. Host was very pleasant, speaks multiple languages but no English however she managed to give us all the information we required for an enjoyable stay.

This was the perfect arrangement for our family as both a way to relax and to see Venezia without being in the center of the all the summer madness. This place seems geared more towards Europeans as I think many Americans are not accustomed to the B&B style. If you are looking for an authentic experience, this is a great place. We loved walking the sidestreets and seeing the locals. The bus is convenient but allow yourself 1 hour to get to actual Venice. The breakfast was perfect and the people very kind. The room was cramped for 4 people but the airconditioning & plumbing worked great! You can do a great morning jog along the Sea which is a wonderful way to start the day. We would definitely stay again!

The location is great, and will be a real treasure when the refurbishment of the canal right across the road is completed.
