Small boutique hotel hiding behind San Marco Square, quite difficult to find. I stayed in the Blue Room which was exactly like the one in the hotel web page, quite clean but seems a bit expensive for the price I paid. The thing I like most is that they delivered the breakfast to the room.

The location was fantastic, just steps from St Marks Sq. but on a tiny quiet alley. The room was really spacious, the bathroom beautifully appointed and the staff were just delightful. They were helpful, kind and made the 5 day stay very special.

The Relais Venezia is a cosy, nicely decorated bed and breakfast in the Heart of Venice.Very close to St Marks Square but also very quiet.Although we stayed in an attic room the size was adequate and nicely decorated with a modern en suite. The Velux window gave a great view of the Venice roof tops and campanile. The breakfast room/reception was beautifully decorated in Venitian style and All the staff gave a first class service.I would reccomend the Relais Venezia and would certainly stay there again.

I thought the hotel was wonderful and a reflection of the ambience and romance of venice. The room was a little smaller than I expected but perfectly adequate. The room was spotless. The staff were wonderful. The location fantastic and close to everything of interest including shopping. I would recommend Relais Venezia to everyone and would certainly return there if a future visit occurs.

Excellent location close to St Marks Square. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Continental Breakfast served, simple but adequate. Hotel recently refurbished, retaining old features of building. Spotlessly clean throughout. Good sized bedrooms with a/c. En-suite shower excellent. If you can afford a water taxi from Place Roma/Bus station on arrival from airport, then you could be taken straight to the hotel which has a canal next to it, otherwise take the Vaparetto (cheap)along the Grande Canal to St Marks square, Fantastic way to see Venice. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Short walk to Rialto Bridge. Highly recommended 3 star hotel for the price of rooms. Would stay there again.

Great location ~ once we found it! Staff was very friendly and eager to assist in any way. Rooms were lovely and clean. Air conditioning was exceptional. Helpful to have the in-room safe and mini-bar (which also has room for a few of your own items). Even our teenager was impressed by the hotel!

This was our first stay during our honeymoon tour of three Italian cities. We forgot our passports after our first stop in Relais Venezia and arranged for them to ship to our last stop in Rome. Because of a Roman holiday the day we expected to receive them via postal service, we were worried that we would have to expensively change our flight plans. However, they shipped them DHL Express, so we avoided a huge expense. We experienced the same type of relief in getting our passports the last day of our trip as when we arrived at Relais Venezia. Dario was extremely helpful in arranging dinner reservations for that night (Cafe Paradiso - excellent dinner) and explaining the surrounding area to us. We will definitely stay here upon our return years from now.

We stayed in a quad room with my wife and two sons (9 and 11). It was perfect for our needs, the staff was gracious, helpful and efficient. They helped us with restaurant recommendations, offered to have our breakfast brought to our room for no additional charge, etc. No stall shower, but it's Italy, not the U.S., so we didn't expect one! The hotel was also very quiet, which helped everyone sleep. Just an FYI for those with difficulty with stairs; the elevator/lift only goes from street level up to the lobby level, so for most rooms there are many stairs. The staff was extremely helpful getting luggage brought up to the room, so that was no problem at all for us.

The accommondations at Relais Venezia were excellent and the room was exactly as depicted on the web page. This is a very quaint hotel with only ten guest rooms. Our room was very spacious and well appointed and the staff was top notch -- very friendly and conscientious. While the luggage lift only went from the entrance level to the second floor lobby, the staff insisted on carrying the luggage to / from the room up additional flights of stairs. The staff also brought up a breakfast tray to my daughter who was not feeling well. I cannot compliment the hotel or staff enough. Complimentary breakfast was of the lighter European fare which was fine for us --warm coissants with honey or jam, yogart, cereal, coffee or espresso, juice. The hotel is in a nice quiet location yet convenient -- equal distance between St. Mark Square and the Rialto Bridge via the narrow "streets" of Venice. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay at Hotel Relais Venezia again!

My wife and I spent a fantastic long weekend in Venice and were delighted by our stay at the Relais Venezia, it more than lived up to all the good reviews on the Venere website. Our room (301) was spacious and clean (albeit the bathroom is small, but well decorated, NB: shower over bath, no shower screen). We had excellent views over the surrounding area. The breakfast was simple but very adequate. The location is fantastic - just 1-2 minutes walk to St Marks Square and 2-3 minutes from the Rialto. Most of all it is the staff who make the hotel so good, they were all extremely helpful, enthusiastic about Venice and very happy and keen to help you with any request. If you want fancy entrance halls and atriums then don't go to this hotel but if you want excellent rooms, fantastic service, great location and superb value for money then this is your place.

Very nice hotel-elegant. Well positioned. Staff very nice. Breakfast a bit basic but ok. A lot of stairs up to the rooms so don't come here if you aren't fit! Perhaps a bit expensive. The price went down as we approached our departure date so if you can take a chance and book at last minute! Fell by £40 from when we booked!

We followed the instructions given for finding the hotel which did include a warning that it was a bit difficult to find but worth it. It really was worth the effort but the effort was totally unnecessary. Moving two suitcases plus a carry-on per person from the airport to a bus to a water bus to another water bus because it was so crowded we couldn't get off in time for the first exit, then dragging them over VERY crowded, rough streets, up and down steps for quite some distance was a most unpleasant experience. It was especially disappointing to learn that a canal was only a few feet from the front door. For the sake of other unaware customers PLEASE make sure they understand that a water taxi is the ONLY way to arrive at your lovely hotel unless they are training for an olympic event that requires extreme physical endurance.

This was an amazing hotel, in an excellent location, only steps to San Marco Square and just a 10 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge...you definetly need a good map in Venice as the city is a maze, but beautiful. All of the hotel staff were wonderful, helpful, and made our stay better. Breakfast was nice and simple as all breakfasts seemed in Italy. Our room was beautiful, no view but we didnt mind as we were not in the room much, there was a huge tub! which we werent expecting. I would recommend this hotel highly! We took the waterbus as recommended by the hotel, and had a short walk from the stop, I think we went over maybe two bridges, but it wasnt bad for us...and was way cheaper than a private boat.

A cute little boutique style hotel. Relais Venezia is a lovely small hotel in a perfect location between St Marks and the Rialto Bridge, difficult to find at first, but the location couldn't be better. The staff were so friendly and helpful and recomended great restaurants which we ate in and really enjoyed. The young man at the desk helped us everyday with a new itinerary which meant we got to see everything. All in all, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Many other more expensive hotels would do well to learn from the small but superb Relais Venezia

I can't fault this hotel. the staff were friendly and very helpful. we had out 16 month old daughter with us, who became very excited and unruly on the first few days of her first holiday :), but the staff were very understanding, and helped us out as much as possible. the room we had was one of the ones in the hotel brochure. it looked exactly the same. no view as the windows opened out onto the alleyway at the front of the hotel, but that didn't bother me as we were informed in advance that there were no rooms with views left. the room was very clean and modern. the bathroom was very good with bath and shower. no noise apart from last night when a large party of italian navy turned up in the bar located next door, but that was a one off. overall i can highly recommend this hotel. it is not cheap, but then again hotels are not cheap in venice. location is good, about 3 minutes walk from piazza san marco with only one canal to cross with your bags.

This hotel was small and very modern. The staff was nice and for the most part helpful however; when my luggage did not arrive they would not call the airport to verify that it was going to be delivered. I do not speak the language as well as they do and would of liked some assistance on that end. They indicated that they would wait to be contacted. My bag arrived later that night so no real issue. The bathtub/hand-wand with no shower curtain is an experience. Just realize that you are going to soak the entire bathroom each shower thus the reason they put a drain on the floor of our bathroom. The bathrooms are really small but the bedroom proved to be large in comparison to other hotels we stayed at. The hotel is not easy to find and expensive. If you are looking for a small modern hotel this is your place!

This small hotel of 10 rooms was beautifully decorated with spacious rooms. It was spotlessly clean and the staff were so willing to help us with restaurants and getting around Venice. It was centrally located near St. Mark's Square yet was so quiet we thought we were in the country. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would definitely stay there again. We took a private water taxi to and from the train station and were dropped off just a few yards from the entrance to the hotel. By using the public vaporetto, however, one has to walk around St. Mark's Square. Keep that in mind if you have a lot of luggage.

Our stay at Relais Venezia was simply wonderful, albeit too short. The staff were all very welcoming, helpful and professional. The location was simply superb, close enough to San Marco to be woken by the bells each morning - there is no better alarm clock! Be aware that there are LOTS of stairs in the property, although a lift goes up to reception. We will definitely be returning in the future, hopefully on many occasions.

The hotel itself was quiet for Venice. However our room was next to reception and we got a fair amount of noise coming through from reception at times. Very good location, newly refurbished, but a bit characterless (why paint over the beams on the ceiling?) Our usual hotel in Venice is less luxurious but has more character and is a bit cheaper.
