We were upgraded from Double Superior to Junior Suite: such a nice room with much space and a private terrasse and a view on the canal. Unforgettable! The house has much style, an old palast with very nice furniture.

Perfect quiet location in easy walking distance to St Marks Square/vaporetto stop. Wish there was fruit available for breakfast. Appreciated that directions to hotel from Vaporetto missed all the steps on the other available routes. Wish we had known in advance that the Regatta was on the afternoon we arrived, this meant no vaporetto/water taxis to St Marks. Meant we had to walk MILES with suitcases. Excellent local restaurant was Johnny's.

The hotel was in a great location, and the rooms are quite reasonable in size and price. The photos on the hotel website are a bit deceptive and make things look significantly nicer than they actually are - still a nice stay all the same. it is very hard to find, despite the hotel instructions, and a map would have been better if it has been provided. Some of the hotel staff were not all that helpful, and the breakfast is very poor - in a small room, and little breakfast selection.

The family room was beautiful. Tall ceilings, tastefully decorated with fabric covered walls, elegant drapes, and period style furniture. The full bathroom is updated and clean. Our room overlooked an interior courtyard which made the room very quiet. Athough we easily found the street we had some difficulty finding the hotel since there is no exterior signage. We had to ask a local merchant who guided us to the hotel. Breakfast room is extremely small. There were 5 small tables for two people. If you got there during the morning rush you would have to wait until a table became available. Breakfast was adequate with a selection of dry cereals, packaged cookies, jams, cheeses and meat, yogurt and juices. Each table had a basket with two buns and 2 croissants. Coffee and ciocolatta were freshly made. The location was great. The hotel is on a quiet back street but just minutes to the vaporetto (at grade and no need to cross over any canals if you went the right way) and very close to St. Mark's Square. Although a bit pricey we really enjoyed our stay.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the hotel - when we arrived they were lovely and welcoming, they managed to get us a room with a canal view which we werent expecting and they were very helpful - suggesting places to visit that were off the beaten track and giving very good and accurate advice about the cost of things and the best way to see various sites around venice. I would strongly recommend the hotel, it was so close to the st marks square etc yet you felt like you were in a little corner away from all the tourists!

Directions to hotel were good, but we didn't realise there was no name outside so missed the entrance and were shown the way by a gondolier! Receptionist very friendly and helpful. There was a vaporetto and bus strike on the day we were leaving, but she gave us details of another company's boat direct to Marco Polo Airport and checked that it was running so we had no problem. Hotel very convenient for St Mark's - having previously stayed near the station we felt more in the heart of Venice at this hotel. We were upgraded to a junior suite (the triple in the photo) which was large and beautiful with flat screen TV and very clean modern bathroom. Breakfast fine, but the breakfast room is small and you might have to wait your turn. Price reasonable (125€ in October) by Venice standards.

We were generally very pleased with the hotel. The location is very good, with a flat walk to a vaporetto stop. The room we had was not as large as some pictured (it was a double classic), but was very thoughtfully designed and very quiet, being at the back of the building. The staff speaks very good English and was very helpful. We had two concerns. The shower in the bathroom (the larger one pictured in the website)had a very badly balanced showerhead that mostly pointed down at the back wall and sprayed water everywhere. This made it difficult to shower and very treacherous walking on the floor. We mentioned this to hotel staff, but they were unable to do anything. Second, when we arrived from Canada at the Venice airport, we had asked the hotel to arrange water taxi for us, at a cost of 190 euros. We picked up the taxi at the water and were dropped about a block from the hotel, with only vague directions. We expected better service for the price. Better and much less expensive to make arrangements yourself if using taxi.

You might get disapointed when you get in front of the hotel, because of its face, but the hotel was an incredible surprise. Although the price was high, as most of the hotels in Venice are, this was well located, the rooms were very clean and large, such as its bathroom. The staff was very kind. I would definitively come back to this hotel.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is on a quiet canal in the very heart of everything. Five minutes to San Marco and easy access to water taxis. My only two complaints ( or rather hiccups) would be that the hotel does not have a sign to state that it is the hotel...so pay very close attention to the street number. Secondly, I had an early morning flight and had to leave at 5:30 am. When I arrived in the lobby it was in complete darkness and the main door was securely bolted. Only after making some noise and turning on the main light did the man at reception come stumbling out from a back room half asleep. You must inform the hotel if plan to leave before 7 am. Oh, and try Robertos Trattoria around the corner...delicious pizza. Other than that the hotel was met my needs perfectly.

We arrived with Sky Europe at the Treviso Airport. There is a bus connection to Venice Piazzale Roma - the return ticket costs € 10,-. From Piazzale Roma we took the ferry boat (traghetto) number 41 or 52 (direction San Marco S. Zaccaria - the fastest possibilities) or througt the Canale Grande with boat number 1 or 2 (direction San Marco). We got off at S. Zaccaria (Piazza San Marco) and followed the description of venere.com how to arrive at the hotel. It was just a 3 minutes walk. The hotel is very new and from outside it does not look like a hotel - there is no hotel name on it jet. So search for the number!! Inside it is all new - a small reception, a small breakfast room and stairs to the higher floors. I can really recommand this hotel. We enjoyed your stay and we will return!

Really enjoyed our stay! Rooms and entire place very clean and bright. Staff always around if assistance needed - very helpful. Lift for suitcases great help! Breakfasts good - would be perfect with a bit of fresh fruit though!! Excellent location - really close to all main areas and vaparetto. Lovely to be right on canal - even though our room didn't look onto it. Aircon was a godsend as was extremely hot while we were there - made returning to room at end of day a real pleasure! Would definitely recommend.
