Nice clean establishment, nice spacious rooms and a very nice breakfast terrace area with a nice braekfast provided. My only beef is that it was noisy in our first floor room. The people in the room above were quite audible when they moved about. Would stay here again!

Our four-night stay was very comfortable, quiet, and continental breakfast satisfying. The only negative moment in our stay was when a member of the cleaning staff had the audacity to chastise my husband for bringing a cappuccino from the dining room to our room. We were unaware of this particular hotel's rule (nothing written anywhere) but, the cleaning staff had no business treating a hotel guest this way.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Ca' San Rocco B&B. Three of us shared a spacious room. Very clean. Friendly and informative. Breakfast on the outdoor terrace with a good selection of drinks and food. Great location away from the crowds but close enough to get to other parts of Venice easily. Several good inexpensive restaurants nearby. Highly recommend!

Great little hotel, perfect location. It was only 3 bridges away from the train station or bus station...a HUGE key bonus in Venice as every bridge is stairs...no ramps here! Great location, very friendly staff. Would stay here again.

The location was superb, a short walking distance from Piazzale Roma, on a very quiet side street. This is important as you must carry your luggage to your hotel from Piazzale Roma. Our room and bath were exquisite, like a high-end boutique hotel. A fantastic full breakfast set in a lovely second floor patio was available each morning. Easy walking to all of Venice. Checkin and out were easy and fast. The ambience of Ca'San Rocco is quiet elegance and it is an excellent value for Venice.

Ca' San Rocco is the perfect place to stay in Venice for independent couples and singles. Getting there by bus from the airport was easy, with just a short walk from the bus terminal (instructions and map are provided). The location is perfect for accessing all parts of Venice by walking or boat, and it's an easy walk to the train station. Our room was large and very comfortable, breakfast on the terrace was delightful, and the two young ladies behind the desk were very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our few days here.

This is an excellent hotel, tucked away in a quiet area of Venice but still close enough to everything and easy to find. Friendly, competent, helpful owners who are always there to help. Rooms are big enough and very clean. Breakfast on the terrace, amongst the flowers and chirping birds was superb. This little haven was a real pleasure to return to at the end of a hard day negotiating the swarming crowds of tourists all keen to experience a small glimpse into the heart and soul of this amazing city ! Stayed 4 nights and would happily do so again :)

We spent 2 nights and it was a little oasis! The hotel had sent us instructions from the station which got us straight there but we did find a few short cuts later.. and a few dead ends. The staff were very polite and helpful, even phoning ahead to our next hotel to confirm our arrival. The room (1) was lovely with a small balcony overlooking a garden (no chairs though). The room was spacious and very clean with a large spotless bathroom. There was a free safe, air con and a mini bar (which we used to chill our own drinks) Breakfast was wonderful on a terrace overlooking garden and plenty of choice with excellent coffee. You can smell them preparing the croissants at 7.30 am. The hotel was in a quiet area but was within walking distance of bars and restaurants. We found it easier to go back to the Ferrovia to pick up the vaporetto than wend our way through the streets although we had a wonderful meander back from the Rialto Bridge. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone - I am so glad we found it and would definitely go back! thank you!

The Ca'San Rocco is the ideal place to stay in Venice. Our room was clean, bright and large, the huge bed very comfortable, the bathroom well-equipped. The range of food for breakfast was excellent. But most of all it is in the best location possible for a visit to Venice. It is a short walk across the bridge from the train and coach station, and although in a wonderfully quiet street, it is round the corner from the magnificent Scoula Grande de San Rocco, and a pleasant walk to the busier parts of the city. It is also an easy stroll back over the bridge to the vaparetto stop outside the railway station from which all of Venice and the islands is a hop away.

Convenient location just eight minutes walk and two bridges from the airport bus drop off with two very good restaurants (where the locals eat)just minutes away. They provide an excellent breakfast and although the location is in a quiet area it's quick and easy to get into the centre either on foot or by vaporetto. I checked out at 10 am on my last day and they were happy to store my luggage until my flight in the evening - excellent.

We returned to this hotel because we enjoyed it so much on our previous visit. It is in a very convenient yet peaceful location - San Polo/Dorsoduro borders, well away from the hustle and bustle of San Marco and the Rialto. We were close to I Frari church, Scuola di San Rocco (for the Tintorettos), Campo Santa Margherita and San Giacomo dell'Orio. The Zattere is a 10-15 minute walk away as are the Accademia and Guggenheim Galleries. It is a short walk to the Piazzale Roma bus station where we also caught the vaporetto to the islands of Murano, Burano and the Venice Lido. Staff are calm and helpful, the rooms spotless and the highlight was the breakfast room - al fresco on the terrace underneath a huge flowering wisteria. Breakfasts were fruit juice, cereals, croissants, pan au chocolat, different bread rolls, yogurts, cold meats, pastries and hot drinks. We sipped Aperol outside Ai Do Draghi in Campa Santa Margherita or at one of the bars along the Zattere and we drank Prosecco at Al Prosecco in Campo San Giacomo dell'Orio. We bought ice creams from either Nico (Zattere) or Il Doge (Santa Margherita) or Alaska or Millievogle - they were all delicious! The only place where we did not feel welcome was the Suzie Cafe which is close to the Zattere. We were charged at least twice as much as anywhere else for 3 soft drinks. It is in some of the guide books but we were not impressed and felt we had been charged a 'tourist rate'. The traghetto at San Tomas is the best way to cross the Grand Canal and it only costs 50 cents per person.

Very nice b&b with lots of charm. Our bedroom and bathroom were large and gorgeous. The location was great as we were traveling by train and was an easy walk (getting luggage over the bridges was a laugh but do-able). Also an easy walk to get around the rest of Venice. The breakfast was good but missed out on having in on the terrace which would have been very nice.

First of all, if it is your first stay in Venice, as it was for me, the hotel is really near the arrival of the bus from the Airport - Piazzale Roma -, so you won't start your stay by 'getting lost'... secondly you cannot be more central and you can walk to any "must see" monuments. As far as the hotel and service are concerned the staff is really helpful and nice, and you actually feel more at home than in a hotel, the rooms and bathrooms are spotless, spacious are quiet. The breakfast is more than decent, even though the room is a bit small... You will find very nice, authentic, cheap restaurants in the area. Just get lost in the small streets towards the Accademia bridge... So in a nutshell, I cannot see myself staying anywhere else for my next visit to Venice.

This is a hidden gem, set in such a quiet area. Surprising, since it's such a short walk to Piazzale Roma. Great location if using the buses and going on a cruise. The foliage outside our room and over the breakfast area was beautiful, making the environment very relaxing. Automatic blinds a nice touch on all the windows. Staff very friendly & helpful. Cost was comparable to other Venice hotels, which are all too expensive. But glad we stayed here and would return.

Ca'San Rocco was a gem..lovely room and the best breakfast we had in Italy. Staff very friendly also, in a city that is incredibly rude. I think the Venetians should get wise to the money they are making from tourists and be more friendly or they will soon find this industry drying up on them. The only reason I would not return to Ca'San Rocco is because I plan never to return to Venice.

A bit hidden, if you don't know your way around Venice ... but the maps and directions are good, and it is near Piazzale Roma and the train station, so if you have bags that is a boon. It is quiet. Very quiet. Not a place I would recommend for kids, or anyone else given to noise. It is a B&B, so does not have a lot of hotel services, you can just get on with your life QUIETY. If you don't mind (or like me, you prefer) being a little off the beaten path, Ca' San Rocco is an excellent value in Venice. We had a large, comfortable, nicely decorated room. The en suite bathroom even had a bathtub, which I enjoyed using to freshen up between our daily sight-seeing and our evening dinners. It is a bit of a walk from here to Rialto and San Marco, but once you get the hang of the Vaporetti, getting around Venice is a snap. I suggest walking to the Piazzale Roma stop, which is only 5 minutes or so from the B&B. The train station is a slightly longer walk, especially when you are pulling your suitcases, but quite doable.

We had a great stay at Ca' San Rocco for three nights in late May just before the start of the Biennale. Staff at the desk were friendly and helpful with any of our enquiries. The room had a pleasant outlook over gardens, a super comfortable bed, was quiet, clean and very well appointed. Location was good (slightly tricky to find) about 10 minutes walking distance from the railway station which had the benefit that you don't have to jump on a crowded vaporetta with your luggage to get there. Breakfast on the terrace was a nice touch in the mornings. We bought a three day water taxi pass at the railway station when we arrived in Venice and found Ca' San Rocco to be a great base for our stay and would definitely return.

Loved the breakfast on the terrasse, the view from the room, the family owned charm of the place! My only remark is that the owner of the hotel are so respectfull and quiet that they did not mentioned that they could arrange private tour of the city! Une TV écran plat accrochée au mur eut été parfait. Cependant on ne va pas à Venise pour regarder la TV! The Hotel is very small and personal. It is extremely clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with lots of charm. Breakfast is served on a stunning, vine covered patio. It is close to the train station so that if you have to go to the docks it is an excellent location. It is a bit far from Saint Marks but then carrying your bags that far, if you have to meet a cruise, would be too much. It is a wee bit hard to find because it is on a small street behind a locked gate but their directions were clear.

Venice in general is very expensive, but we were happy with the room and the hotel. We were able to find it easily with the maps they provided. Our only complaint is that we weren't aware that the numerous 'bridges' we had to cross, carrying our suitcases in our hands, actually involved climbing up and down huge staircases! We had to cross 5 such bridges to get to the hotel. Once we got there, they were great- the lady at the counter even carried my suitcase for me, up 4 flights of stairs to get to the 2nd level. The room was really spacious- it was huge! And beautifully decorated. The bathroom was big, clean, new and also beautifully decorated. We had breakfast on the patio outside each morning, and that was so beautiful too. The patio overlooked a courtyard, and these cute little birds would fly around nibbling at the crumbs. It was really relaxing and picturesque. There was a girl at the breakfast each morning, making our hot drinks fresh from the kitchen, and replenishing the breakfast- cold meats, bread, croissants, cheeses, yoghurts, juice, buiscuits, fruit- it was a perfect breakfast! We could not see any water from our hotel room- it overlooked a very pretty courtyard though. But it was only a short walk from the smaller canals. Its a quiet spot, away from the major touristy areas. The staff recommended a few restaurants in the area- they were however very pricey (as is everything in Venice). My husband and I found a supermarket near the train station, and purchased a our lunches there, and a lovely bottle of Fragolino (Italian strawberry sparkling wine). We had keys to access the hotel so we could come and go at any time. I could not find fault with this hotel.

Ca' San Rocco was in a quiet location in San Polo area chosen because it was walking distance from the train station. It was a small hotel with good security and helpful staff. English was spoken. Breakfast was good by European standards. Location also OK for a Vaporetto Stop and the Dorsoduro area. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Venice.

Fourth stay at Ca'San Rocco and will definitely stay there again. Room and en suite bathroom well-lit and exceptionally clean. Rooms look out over garden across the quiet, narrow street. Breakfast on common terrace in summer a pleasure. Away from noisy crowds but just minutes by foot from train station or Piazzale Roma (bus terminal), short walk to Scuola di San Rocco and Frari. Highly recommended.

This bed & breakfast is almost perfect. The location is superb. Situated in a quiet area, but walking distance from every place of interest. We enjoy walking so we didn´t even need a vaporetto. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless. The only litte detail is the poor variety of bread for breakfast.

A very pleasant, quiet hotel with charming staff. The only limitation is that there is no public seating area within the hotel (but for visitors in warm weather this is not a problem, there is an outdoor porch with seating, and a garden).

Very clean and peaceful. The room was very spacious, with a very big bed (1.80m). The hotel was very well situated, near Piazzale Roma and the Train Station. We were on second floor, no elevator.

Ca' San Rocco was an excellent base for our short stay in Venice. It is conveniently located (it is literally only 5 minutes walk from Piazzale Roma) and provided very comfortable and spacious accomodation. All hotels in Venice are relatively expensive but comparatively this seems to be good value.

I thought the accomodations were lovely. It was raining while we were there or we would have used both the outdoor breakfast area and the outdoor seating area. The inside, however, was delightful and the breakfast area charming. There were always many breakfast choices as well. The staff was very attentive and the surroundings beautiful. I thought the price was high but considering Venice prices in general it wasn't too bad. All in all we would definately stay here again. It is not in the center of town which was a plus as the center is much noisier and touristy. It is about a 5 minute walk from Piaza Roma. This place really is close to perfect!

My son and I spent a wonderful three days in Venice during his half-term holiday. The staff at the hotel could not have been more welcoming or helpful. When I booked I asked if it was possible to have two single beds rather than a double, so I was pleased (as was my son!) to find two large single beds in the room. We asked for recommendations for restaurants and were delighted with both restaurants that we visited which were excellent value and had wonderful food. I would love to visit this hotel in the summer, if only to sit outside on the terrace to have breakfast. I would definately recommend this hotel as the perfect place to stay in Venice - as a hotel it was great, and its location was superb. The free map given to us on arrival helped enormously with planning our sight-seeing. Thank you hotel Ca'San Rocco.

This is a lovely and efficiently run little hotel. They refer to themselves as a B&B and that is really more accurate. It has about 8 rooms. There is no staffing of the reception area after 9 p.m. The two ladies I met who run things are professional and helpful but didn't smile much. The breakfast was OK and, weather permitting, you can eat on the lovely terrace outside the breakfast room. The hotel is very quiet except for my room in the morning which was next to the breakfast room and the talk was quite loud at 7:30 a.m. The room was large and the bathroom clean and large. But if you're in room #2 don't expect to sleep in! It is located about a ten minute walk from the railway station. A good map of Venice is helpful for finding it, even though the map on their website is basically accurate.

The Ca' San Rocco is a beautifully renoavted and serene B&B (great care has been taken by the sisters who own the B&B with every little detail). The room is tight, but o.k. for a couple of nights, the bathroom is small but as expected for European standards. The B&B is located 10 minute walk from the train station, relatively easy to find if you follow the map provided and do not rely on the street names (they are often times half way down the "street" in Venice). When you find the correct "street" proceed all the way to the end - the numbering is wonky in Venice. Travel light, there is a big bridge to carry your luggage over.It is important to remember that this is a B&B and few services are available, but it is possible to book a limited selection of tours/outings. The terrace on which breakfast was served was a beautiful and peaceful place to begin each day. Breakfast does not include eggs/hot foods, it did include the best granola we've tasted! The B&B is about a 30 minute walk to Piazza San Marco.

We have recently stayed in this hotel and found it to be excellent. We have stayed in Venice before in a very expensive hotel on the Grand canal, but actually this was just as enjoyable. We had room 2 which was very spacious, and possibly the cleanest hotel room we have ever stayed in. Breakfast is served on a beautiful terrace which over looks surrounding leafy gardens, and was a real plesure each morning. The location is more central than it looks on the Venere map, and is only 5 minutes walk from the Sa Toma vaporetto stop. It is also only a 2 minute walk from the church of Santa Maria del Frari which is an absoloute must, its rather plain exterior belies its unbelievable interior, and is apparently the best thing most likely to be missed by visitors to venice each year. The location is very quiet, and did not smell of anything unpleasent while we were there ( I refer to some earlier comments) perhaps if its your first visit to Venice you may want a view on to a canal, which the Ca San Rocco dosen't have, but if thats not of great importance you, you could do a lot worse than to stay in this little gem of a hotel.

We stayed in the top floor apartment within the hotel. The accommodation was excellent. It was clean and very spacious and came with a large balcony overlooking a green area. The staff were courteous and efficient. Breakfast is served in a truly lovely terraced area and was more than sufficient. The location of the hotel is very good and is only about a 15 minute walk from the Rialto market/bridge.We would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Venice at the Ca' San Rocco, our room was beautiful and spotlessly clean as was the rest of this lovely little hotel and the reception girls were very helpful. The hotel is in an excellent area for getting around and just a short walk from the Piazza Roma which is the stop for the bus from Treviso Airport so no need to travel further on the vaparetto with luggage in tow to get to the hotel. Only one tiny complaint was the breakfast which was typically continental and lacked variety. Would definitely stay here again if we were to visit Venice again sometime.

This is an excellent hotel in Venice. The rooms were outstanding, the breakfast very good, the staff personable and informative. The hotel was easy to find as the directions were accurate and it is close to Piazzale Roma with access to all forms of transportation. We did not mind being away from San Marco. This hotel offers exceptional value for the price.

I would absolutely not stay at this hotel again. The air conditioning in our room had broken. This was during a weekend when the temperature in Venice was almost 40 degrees celsuis. The hotel were not able to get anyone to fix the air conditioning during our 2 night stay. As a consequence, we spent 2 very uncomfortable and sweaty nights in the hotel. I expected to be offered a discount for this inconvenience, but was not. When I requested a discount, the reply was a shrug and "It's not our fault the air conditioning broke". After 10 minutes of negotiation, during which I explained I would not have made the booking if I thought there would be no air conditioning, I managed to get a discount of 20 Euros. That's a discount of just over 6%, off a 290 Euro charge for 2 nights. Appalling! The hotel manager was rude, unsympathetic and unhelpful. The hotel was clean, but the service was very poor indeed, disgusting in fact. Also, the hotel is situated down an alleyway upon which the locals seemed to take their dogs to urinate. Hence, the smell was terrible when you left and arrived at the hotel.

This is a great hotel, all attractions are within walking distance, that is if you dont get lost in the maze of streets and alleyways. Good tip: Take a map and more important a compass. For quicker transport, use the water buses.a 3 day pass is well wort it.Room was a good size and clean and quiet, room 4 overlooked a small park area.Nice in a city. The only downside I found was the Breakfast,I like my full english on hoilday, but the continentalbreakfast offered, although sufficient, was limited and the same every day. The location was good with only three bridges to cross to reach, other tourists in more central hotels are in for a long walk with many bridges to cross.

Although the hotel is not located on a canal it is in a park like setting. The rooms are spacious and spotless and the bathroom in room 1 is huge, which is unusual in europe. The hotel was easy to find from the train station even with hauling our luggage. Just when we got confused, there was a hotel sign pointing us to the hotel. The hotel is owned by two young sisters who are helpful but shy at first. The breakfast is sparse in european terms but, as americanos, we appreciate any breakfast being inclusive. I would stay there again and recommend.

A splendid small hotel (only six rooms), ideal for singles, couples, small families on their first or tenth visit to Venice who are looking for a serene spot yet one within comfortable walking distance of Rialto, the Accademia, or San Marco. Easy five-minute walk from Piazzale Roma, seven minutes from train station, 30 seconds from Scuola di San Rocco, a minute and a half from the Frari, yet a haven, with gardens on two sides (roses still blooming in garden across the street in mid-December). Bedroom was pristine; bathroom modern (shower stall a squeeze, but all conveniences sparkling clean), bare wooden floors in bedroom another great plus. Common areas also exceptionally clean. Staff is welcoming and courteous. Breakfast is modest but sets one up for follow-on early morning cappuccino at, e.g., Caffe dei Frari, opposite main entrance to the church. I will be returning to the Ca' San Rocco with my wife at the end of January.

Next to location on a canal, you cannot beat this hotel. I would return here time an again. We were within easy walking distance to everything, and we were able to access the water bus and other forms of transportation easily. The biggest drawback was having to lug our luggage over two bridges to get there. However, we were also packed for a cruise. Ordinarily, our burdens would have been lighter and the walk to the hotel easier. The staff was friendly and helpful.

My wife and I loved our stay at Ca' San Rocco. The rooms, the grounds, the breakfast food, the service - they were all excellent ! It looks like an ambassador's residence - upscale, secure, manicured, very very quiet. We would definitely recommend this as THE place to stay for anyone thinking about a trip to Venice. It's location was also perfect - close to the train and bus stations (but not too close) and within a short 20 minute walk to the main sights of Venice. The people at the hotel were also very helpful. The only inconvenience we experienced was not having hot water in the shower until 6AM. We had to leave early one morning and had to wait until 6AM to shower. This should be easy for the hotel to fix.

This is a delightful small hotel, with a quiet garden for sitting, and a wonderful deck to enjoy the breakfast, which was included. The room and bath were spacious. The hotel is a little hard to find because the numbers on the buildings are not always consecutive. We finally had to call the hotel for someone to come and find us after walking around through various alleyways for quite a while. The girl on the desk came right away and led us back to the hotel. We were within a half block and still couldn't find it. The hotel is very secure and close to the boat stops making getting around easy. Take your walking shoes! Dragging your luggage can be a bit of a drag, but a necessity in Venice since there is no land transportation. This is a wonderful little hotel, very clean and secure, important for two women traveling alone. There is no elevator, so you have to carry your own bags up some narrow stairs. Overall, a very nice experience, and we would stay there again.
