We stayed in room 100. There were three of us, all women. The room was very spacious, and beautifully decorated. It looks right over a canal, next to a bridge, and the windows open wide, for a view to people watch and see the clock tower. Staff was so helpful and welcoming. This was the last stop on our trip, and definitely a highlight.

This hotel is well priced and the staff go out of their way to help you.Diego.Fabio and Raphael, thanks for a wonderful visit to Venice.

Perfect hotel for a perfect stay in Venice. Clean, modern rooms, breakfast room beautiful with view of a canal, very easy to find, a short vaporetto ride from the train station. Staff made us feel so welcome and they clearly take pride in their city and their hotel, gave us some excellent ideas on where to go to dinner, to go see the market etc. Breakfast buffet was great with a good selection of items no matter if you came early or later. Mille grazie for an excellent time.

We didn't make advance reservations, as this was an extra day we planned, spur-of-the-moment. Very pleased with the price & location. Diego, at the front desk, was very pleasant & helpful in giving us excellent directions to a place we'd been searching for. Note, there was a flight of stairs up from the street.

This hotel was very special and our junior suite was above our expectations. The air-conditioning in the room was very good and rooms beautifully decorated. The hotel staff were so helpful and friendly, they gave plenty of local restraurant suggestions which were all lovely. Diago was a great help to us and went out of his way to ensure we were well looked after. We will stay here again on return to Venice.

Reception (Benjamin and Diego) were very helpful, you can ask them anything. Plus, my late check-in and early check out were not issues. A downside was ongoing construction across my room spoiled the canal view..

What a find! My wife and I stayed for three nights to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and we couldn't be more pleased. Venice is one of the most beautiful cities even in July and when the crowds of tourists disappear in the evening you can find loads of quiet spots to discover. Ca' Gottardi was compared to Venice prices very good value and all staff always made sure we were looked after. The breakfast was very good and the room (no. 27) beautiful, located on the corner of the building facing the canale novale leading to Canale Grande. If you don't eat or drink around Piazza San Marco (We paid EURO 34.50 including service charge for two Bellinis - Prosecco with peach juice - at Harry.s Bar) you can find scores of bars and restaurants serving authentic food at reasonable prices, esp. in the Canareggio district. We also spent EURO 100 for a 40 minute night ride in a gondola and it was worth every cent - it is a once in a lifetime experience and if you are not prepared to spend the money necessairy to enjoy yourselves then don't go! As far as Ca' Gottardt is concerned it was the perfect hotel in the perfect location for a perfect wedding anniversary.

Stop on the bottom step of the second bridge after emerging from the vaporetto alleyway. Look to your far left for one narrow doorway with a marble staircase going up. Yes, that's it. Charming hotel, nice people, good location for railway, Grand Canal and walking trips. Wine bar underneath the hotel absolutely great for drinks, snacks and light meals. Breakfast/reception area light, cool, and interesting. Good Italian coffee.

the hotel was very pleasant and well located on the main way into the centre but quiet enough if your into a peaceful place to rest after walking around the city. The room was perfect and there was a good bar below the hotel main lobby. I would stay there again when next back in Venice. Ps. Head of the beaten track to the north of where the hotel is located and you can see some of the real Venice!

very nice location and very nice, kind and helpful staff.I stayed one day longer because the hotel is near every place (not far from the railway station and near Pazza S.Marco, Canal Grande, Rialto etc. Breakfast is the only thing I dind'T like (just coffee, croissant and fruit juice but the coffee isn't ok for italian people, any way).

Fantatstic hotel, super close to Ca' d'Oro water taxi stop. Close enough to everything yet away from tourist crowds. Beautiful room. Perfect combination of value and quality. Large room, beautifully decorated. Brand new bathroom. Delicious breakfast.

Aside from the wine bar across the street that stays open quite late, we totally enjoyed our stay here. Since it was warm out, we had the windows open, which added to the jovial noise from the wine bar. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This was the perfect hotel for our stay in Venice. Classy and cool. The marbled stair entry was a welcome change from the bustling, drenched ambiance of Venice. The room was spacious for Italy, the ac worked like a charm, and it was best shower we'd had our whole trip. Location was great. We easily made it to San Marcos as well as less touristy areas of the city. Staff was very professional and helpful. Breakfast was adequate, like many others we'd had. We would definitely stay there if we went back.

This was an excellent place to stay in a city that can be expensive. The room rate was reasonable for the location, quality of accommodation and standard of service. The bathroom in my room was of a particularly hogh quality with very good facilities. I would certainly not hesitate to stay here again.

The hotel was as described. We had concerns before leaving England as to how easy it would be to get to and ultimately find the hotel. However the instructions provided by the hotel were accurate and very easy to follow once we arrived in Venice. An excellent location. The lady at reception was very helpful on arrival providing us with a map and recommendations on where to eat. The only issue we had was that we asked for 2 extra pillows and they only had 1! The water buses were really close to the hotel. If I went to Venice again I would stay at this hotel.

For a "standard double" the room was very tight and you couldn't swing a cat in the shower, let alone wash yourself without bruising your elbows. The room was also higher than wide an deep and had a view onto a narrow alleyway, so it felt rather claustrophobic. Nevertheless it was clean and the service was good. Altogether it was a bit overpriced, but then everyrthing is in venice during the Biennale preview days....
