The Avogaria Locanda & Restaurant is a luxury accommodation in the center of the charming and world-famous art city of Venice. The small property was created in 2002 by Francesco Pugliese, architect and chef. The concept is to have clients experience different sensorial levels all at once: scents, flavors, spaces, design and music.

Great stay! Somewhat off the beaten track, (but in Venice that is it's charm) yet still easy to get around. Staff helpful and pleasant. It is the private garden that makes this a suite and in nice weather it is delightful to relax outdoors with some wine and cheese purchased nearby.

Estuve con mi pareja de vacaciones en Venecia por cuatro días, era mi primera estancia en la ciudad. Aparte de quedar encantada con su belleza -nada de la cacareada suciedad, la ciudad está cuidadísima-, la estancia en el Hotel Avogaria Locanda fue excelente. La bienvenida del personal fue de lo más cordial; viéndonos cansados, en seguida nos sirvieron un té. La habitación es punto por punto como aparece en la web de Venere (y en la propia del hotel), no hay sorpresas desagradables. Todo esta nuevo y limpísimo, la habitación es amplia (no descomunal, pero sí amplia y confortable) y el baño es muy grande y muy grato; sólo un pequeño pero: en el baño las luces son de detector, de modo que cuando te metes en la ducha se apagan al poco tiempo y te quedas a oscuras. El patio al aire para desayunar es también de lo más agaradable. La zona de ubicación del hotel es espléndida. A no más de diez minutos andando de la plaza de San Marcos, la distancia justa para gozar de lo más hermoso de Venecia sin soportar el agobio del turisteo desenfrenado. Me sorprende que este hotel no tenga más opiniones, porque es una opción muy buena para quedarse en Venecia, sobre todo teniendo en cuenta los precios desmesurados de esta ciudad. Nuestro precio fue de 200 euros, que puede parecer mucho pero... en Venecia no hay hoteles por debajo de este precio que no estén húmedos o viejos.

By car
From the motorway, after passing the barrier, follow the signs for Venice. After arriving in Venice, park your car in one of the Tronchetto parking areas (on the right, after the long Ponte della Libertà) or Piazzale Roma, the car terminal. Take the ACTV line 82 boat for Giudecca and get off at the San Basilio landing station. The Locanda Avogaria is just 2 minutes from here. Continue on foot along Calle Del Vento (in front of the landing station), go through San Basegio square, follow the street, the second Calle on the right is Calle dell'Avogaria. The Locanda Avogaria is at number 1629 of Calle dell'Avogaria.

By train
From Santa Lucia railway station: after exiting the station, take ACTV line 82 boat for Giudecca and get off at the San Basilio landing station. Continue on foot along Calle Del Vento (in front of the landing station), go through San Basegio square, follow the street, the second Calle on the right is Calle dell'Avogaria. The Locanda Avogaria is at number 1629 of Calle dell'Avogaria.

By airplane
From Marco Polo Airport (13 km): The ATVO shuttle or the ACTV line 5 bus from the airport will take you to Piazzale Roma, the Venice car terminal. Then, take the ACTV line 82 boat for Giudecca and get off at the San Basilio landing station. The Locanda Avogaria is just 2 minutes from here. Continue on foot along Calle Del Vento (in front of the landing station), go through San Basegio square, follow the street, the second Calle on the right is Calle dell'Avogaria. The Locanda Avogaria is at number 1629 of Calle dell'Avogaria.
From San Giuseppe Treviso Airport (30 km): take the EUROBUS-ATVO shuttle to Venice. After reaching Piazzale Roma, the Venice car terminal, continue as above.
