Located in the sestiere (neighborhood) of San Polo, this hotel is very centrally located within Venice and is within easy walking distance of everything you would want to see. Coming from the Santa Lucia train station, the easiest way to reach the hotel is by vaporetto (water bus). The water bus stop is right outside, behind the train station. Determining which route to take will require a bit of study, so make sure you read the route map posted carefully. You will likely want to take the Number 1 line as it runs zig-zag up and down Canal Grande, making stops on both sides of the canal. You will want to go from the Ferrovia stop (at the train station), to the San Stae stop. Make sure to pack light (as in nothing bigger than a carry-on) though, as you will have to carry your luggage up and down several small bridge steps to get from the San Stae stop to the hotel. The hotel is a very charming and romantic place, as befits it's name, and the hotel staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. For those with limited mobility or oversized suitcases, they have a motorized lift to take you up the stairs from the lobby to the rooms. The rooms are very, very clean and well appointed. The selection of foods at the continental breakfast is excellent, being among the best we found at any of the hotels we stayed at in Italy.

The hotel has very clean and big bedrooms, with wonderful bathroom and jacuzzi. The hotel is near Rialto ed it's very simple to find good restaurant in the same road. Great for a romantic weekend.

We had reserved in the hotel "Il Nido di Giulietta e Romeo" to have a jacuzzi in the room but there was a problem and we've been moved to another hotel ("Diamante"). So we had no jacuzzi in our room !

This hotel was very beautiful and one of the more modern hotels that I've seen available in Italy. It was very nice to have a real queen bed, instead of two mattresses clipped together. The staff was very friendly and quickly learned our names and greeted us by name. The hotel is slightly difficult to find and is tucked away in a small piazza. My only disappointment is that our room had NO view! I opened the window and was literally looking at another wall. There wasn't even a "street" below.

Staff are wery friendly and helpful and hotel is kept clean. We had the touristic room on the first floor, which was basic, but you don't go to Venice to gaze around your hotel room. Breakfast was a continental buffet which suited us, but there was no cooked option. The hotel is ideal for the vaporetto - get off at the fish market, turn right and walk along the side of the grand canal and then take a left at the small wooden jetty and walk straight to the square. It's also near to the Rialto bridge for shops etc, but we found it was better to buy the three day vaporetto pass to wander round with.

Good situation (7mn from the Rialto), BUT... The pictures showed bedrooms very attractive with lovely lights, furniture, view, etc. Instead of this we've been given a room just next to the hotel entrance, so I let you imagine the noise (we could hear the doors each time someone entered or leaved the hotel, and the conversations with the welcome employees). As we was at the ground floor, no view at all and bars in front of the window. finally, the "look and feel" of the room was the one of any lowcost hotel network : very clean, but no charm at all.

I think although the hotel was quite nice, (my room was the standard one), it had a window which remained closed during the whole stay (the view was to a inner dark corridor). The room was really clean and the location of the hotel was quite near to rialto bridge. I would recommend the hotel, however I think is was expensive in my opinion, but on the other hand Venice is one of the most expensive vacations cities so be prepare for it. I think is worth going to venice, we had just a great time.

Great location in relation to other places. With a good map of Venice, can find easily (but nearly impossible without a good map). Staff did not have room ready when we arrived and we waited 2 hours. Breakfast excellent. Rooms spacious, quiet, and clean. Staff satisfactory, but not overly helpful with recommendations. Overall good hotel, but not worth the money.

Our room was much smaller than the ones shown on the website although it was in a similar style, but we did not pay the highest price so we expected that. We had a very small room off reception which meant it was noisy during the day but fine at night. Alhough the room was small it was very clean and perfectly formed. Location was great. I loved the style of the hotel a sympathetic mix of modern and traditional. Staff were helpful and the reception was funky.

Great little hotel for the price. Get the corner room ( no.1 ). Two things - no elevator so you have to haul your bags up one floor and the route given from the water bus stop is wrong. Do not get off at the S,Stae as stated. This involves a journey over 5 bridges and numerous staircases. Get off at the next stop by the fish market. Turn right and procede over the bridge. Turn left and it is a stright run to the square where the hotel is located.

a nice hotel, fairly priced for venice. very nice staff. clean room, a nice idea having breakfast delivered to the room, its just a shame that you can hear too much from the other rooms.difficult to find, the hotel could do with emailing a much clearer photo of where they are located. dont use the vapareto to get nearer to the hotel, walking is fine as long as the weather isnt too bad.

Ottimo Davvero.....

This was a great hotel for the money. My girlfriend and I got the 79euro per night room online and it was a great room, looks like the pictures. The staff speaks English and is really nice, the hotel is fairly easy to find overlooking a square. The room is fairly small and simple but comfortable and clean. They served us breakfast every morning and the location of this hotel is great, a few min. from Rialto Bridge. Definately a great place to stay and I would go there again.

The staff were fantastic. We got a special rate via Venere.com for a standard room at basic rate, but were offered a free upgrade (with jacuzzi) upon arrival as the room was available. The staff were v. helpful and the maid who served breakfast each day seemed especially hard working and cheery. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. A couple of previous reviewers were disappointed with their accommodation, but by simply emailing the hotel to clarify my booking, I found that we were treated wonderfully! The rooms are beautifully decorated and whilst not enormous, clever use of space was made by splitting the bathroom/jacuzzi/bed-living room. Also, a great central location 5 mins from Rialto Bridge.

This is the most amazing hotel we could have ever dreamed about. It was romantically themed with Romeo and Juliet. Paintings, murals, chandeliers, big beds, jacuzzi tubs, and of course, a balcony overlooking a picturesque canal in the heart of Venezia. The staff were so helpful and sweet. They even toasted the birth of our Neice in the middle of the night with champagne. Every morning, a nice complimentary breakfast was brought to our room. In the hallway, there were fresh bouquets of roses and trays of fruit. We were about a 5 minute walk from the Rialto Bridge. I won't stay anywhere else if I go back to Venice.

At check-in we were offered a room which obviously was not intended for guests but for the staff which appeared more like a room you expect in a youth hostel. We were told that all other rooms were already occupied and that the room rate would be twice as much although this was not stated when the room was booked. after denial we were offered a slightly better accomodation, located directly beside the reception which also did not match the expectations we got from the pictures at the website. Poor experience!

Recomendado completamente.

Very good experience the rooms are very impressive and the location ideal to see the sights and they are plenty to see. Very welcoming and helpful staff and clean well priced rooms. I would recommend that visitors buy a vaporetta pass as this makes life very easy and allows you to see the impressive sights from the water and is very affordable.
