they practice a culture ofg minimalism. Breakfast is a joke - even in italian standards.

Even for Venice, where the breakfest in every hotel is poor, i never had a worse one than in Lion Morosini. The tea and the coffe tasted moldy and rotten (they never seem to clean the coffe-machine. Noisy restaurant with live music from below until 1:00 o'clock in the Morning. Dark and smelly rooms. Positive: Breakfast-terrace with look over the Canal Grande (but to small for all guests). All in all you will find something much better elsewhere for that price in Venice.

This b and b is well located and an easy 5-10 minute walk from the Rialto vaporetto stop for easy access to the train. The room we had was clean and comfortable and quite large and faced a small square overlooking the Grand Canal--a real plus. On the downside was a desk person who seemed to speak not a word of English. We did not see an English speaking staffer until our final morning. Thus, if we'd wanted to ask directions or get other types of information, it would have been impossible. The hotel is located right above a very popular restaurant/night spot and people come and go and party on the square until 2-3 a.m., which makes for a lot of noise. Closing windows was not really an option, since the room is not air conditioned. However, as we had been busy sightseeing every day, we were pretty tired and were able to sleep most nights despite the noise.Other roomw which did not face the square were probably more quiet. The steep stairs could be an impediment to some older travelers. The directions provided for reaching the hotel could be simplified. Don't bother trying to find the street names they provide. After you leave the Rialto vaporetto station walk away from the canal to the first street and turn left (in the direction of the train station), cross one bridge (at the Coin department store) and continue about a block until you see a large pink church on your right. On the left of the square in front of the church is a small unmarked alleyway about 4 feet wide. This is the street--follow it back toward the grand canal to the hotel.

Good value for Venice. Location is excellent being a very short distance from the Rialto. There was a restaurant/bar underneath my room with a band playing until very late at night so that is why I gave the low score for quietness!

If you can find the narrrow lane opposite of San Giovanni Crisostomo church (on the main path to San Marco) it is a great and central place to stay in a old palazzo. It seems that every part, room and lobby has been converted to get the 16 guest rooms. Do not expect much comfort (small bathrooms, small space between wall and bed etc) but if you just sleep there and dont live it is a good choice for the price. Breakfast is "limited" (only bread, croisants, butter, marmalade, packed cheese and coffee/tea from the machine). Hint: Hotel is above a fashionable restaurant with direct view/access to Canal Grande, right opposite of the fruit and fish market. They have very good offerings.

Chambre très confortable, vue sur le grand canal imprenable. Le déjeuner est excellent. Difficile à trouver de la rue principale, mais vaut le détour, ce gite est très centralisé dans Venise, à proximité du pont du Rialto.

Very comfortable stay and good breakfast. Al Palazzo Leo Morosini 2 is at a short and walking distance from historical places. Charming and helpful manageress. We would certainly go back there again.

It's a pleasant place, but the room was really small and extremely dark for the price! Even in Venice, there are clearly cheaper and better alternatives...

Overall a very good experience. Rooms are clean and spacious and the location is amazing. The view of the Rialto from the pontoon is stunning. The breakfast is very disappointing however and the lovely terrace on which to eat it is simply not big enough. It does however have great views. The first room that we were in had no windows except for onto a dark well. The bathroom in this room was also miniscule. We moved to a superior room - which had lovely views over a canal and a huge bathroom - so well worth spending the extra 10 EUR per night.

Merci. Les employés étaient très sympathiques et compétents.

Very expensive compared to other accommodation we have used in Venice at similar prices, especially as there was nowhere to eat breakfast except the bedroom. Breakfast was packet food and coffee from a machine to which guests had to help themselves.

Unfortunately the builders arrived on our first morning and used noisy building equipment between 10am-5pm everyday. Fortunataly Venice is a beautiful city which you don't mind being forced out of bed for! Fabulous views from the hotel made up for the noise and the room was spacious and clean. Would certainly recommend this hotel and would revisit in the future!
